Chapter 19 - Protect Her

Isabelle Orsino

And.. the honeymoon was pushed to tomorrow.

"So you're saying, you sued Gio already?" Elijah asked and I nodded.

"You should be happy, why aren't you?" He added and I sighed.

I hate myself knowing that I slowly start falling for my own husband. I hate myself knowing that he will never want more than this. I hate myself knowing that everything that he did was to protect his image. I hate myself for thinking that he will leave me eventually.

My phone rang and it's Sebastian.

"Why is he calling you?" Elijah asked and I turned to him.

"I'll call you tonight, I have to settle some things." I said and I walked out from his office.

"Hello." I picked up the call.

"Where are you?"

"I just got out from Elijah's office, why?" I asked as I walked out from the lift.

"I want you to come back home."

"Okay." I said and ended the call. I called my chauffeur. I walked out the lobby and waited for my chauffeur to come.

"Isabelle." I turned to see Elijah is calling me.

"Huh?"

"Where are you going?"

"I have something going on at the office." I said and Elijah looked at me suspiciously.

"I just found out that Sebastian is suing Gio." Shit.

"And?"

"Why? You both don't have the greatest relationship, why is he suing Gio for you?"

"Elijah, Gio did something too to Sebastian. He's suing him because he-"

"Isabelle, you don't understand. He's suing Gio for you." I wanted to runaway this second. My phone vibrated again and it's Sebastian.

"Ms. Orsino." My chauffeur even got out of the car to call me.

"Isabelle, are you seeing him? Or.."

"No! We're not seeing each other! He just happened to have beef with Gio." I said.

"Ms. Orsino, please get into the car." My chauffeur said and I nodded.

"Don't worry, I will settle everything and let you know the update okay?" My phone kept vibrating and Sebastian won't stop calling me. What is his problem?

"What?" I hissed picking up the phone.

"I just miss my wife, come home." He said in a cold tone. I turned to Elijah giving him a wave before getting into the car. My chauffeur closed the door behind me.

"I'm going home, see you." I ended the call. He drove out from Elijah's office and I leaned my body back because I felt so tired.

"Hello, Mr. Grey. Yes, I'm already on my way, someone it tailing behind us, I think it's Mr. Rixton." I turned my head and tried to find where the hell is Elijah's car.

"Okay, sir. Will do." I turned to Fred, my chauffeur, and he looked at me through the mirror.

"Ms. Orsino, your husband ask you to go to your office. He will see meet up with you there."

"What is going on?" I'm so confused.

"Apparently.. The person that your husband sued, he's after you." Shit. Why did I get Sebastian into this? My chauffeur sped up to go to my office and once we got there, Sebastian is already there. As soon as I got out, he grabbed my hand and brought me inside. I saw a lot of guards already stand by at the lobby. We got into the lift right away and go up to my office floor.

"What exactly happened?" I asked completely confused.

"How come you never told me that Gio almost killed you? He threatened you, didn't he?" He asked and I'm speechless.

"Did.. Lia tell you this?"

"Just answer the question." He said as he led me out from the lift to my office.

"Yes, he.. did. It's a long story and I rather not say it." I sighed as I started to tear up remembering all the trauma.

"Does Elijah know this?" He asked and I shook my head. He pulled me into a hug and patted my back.

"The police is looking for him and he for sure will go to jail." He said.

"What did he do?"

"Well.. I told him that you're my wife. He went to my office with a knife and then ran away when the police came. Then he made a call to my phone threatening me and you."

"Oh God, this is a mess." I cried more. He kept hugging me and then he made me sit on the sofa. He locked the doors and sat beside me.

"I'm sorry, you should have not say that I'm your wife." I said and Sebastian wiped my tears and hugged me again.

"He was threatening you so I had to do something to prevent that." He said and I nodded. Suddenly Sebastian's phone rang and he picked up right away.

"Oh okay, that's great. I'll go there, I'll drop Isabelle first. Okay, thanks." He ended the call quickly.

"They caught Gio, they will investigate first but I want to make sure everything goes according to the procedure. I'll drop you at your parent's house and go to the police station."

"I can come with you." I said and he shook his head.

"I'll drop you home and take care of it alone. You don't need to worry about him anymore." He smiled and I nodded. He held my hand and unlocked the door. We went down to the lobby and found Elijah standing there looking at the both of us confused.

"What happened?" Elijah asked me.

"She can tell you about it later." Sebastian said as he pulled me to keep walking. Elijah stopped us by standing in front of Sebastian.

"What did you do?" Elijah asked coldly.

"Elijah, please we can talk about later." I said begging.

"Why are you suing Gio?" Oh God.

"Didn't I tell you she will explain it later? We have somewhere to be." Sebastian pushed Elijah to the side and walked again.

"Is this your way to ruin her? Bring her down?" Elijah bursted out angrily making everyone in the room turn their attention to us. Sebastian stopped walking and turned to Elijah smirking.

"How about you? Did you do anything to protect her?" Sebastian blurted.

"That's what I thought." Sebastian smirked and we continued to walk to our car. Sebastian told me to get in and I could see Elijah completely speechless.
