Chapter 30 - A Lot of Time

Sebastian Grey

"I hate you." Isabelle said as I kept her captive in the hotel bedroom.

"Just call Andre and let him know that you're not going down besides he's your ex for a reason right?" I smirked and she looked at me disbelief.

"I can't believe we're having this conversation right now." She said as she sat down on the edge of the bed.

"Just call Andre and we're out of this conversation." I said as I leaned my body to the door.

"You're being ridiculous." She said.

"You're the one who hung out with him, you're the one who is being ridiculous." I said pointing at her and she felt offended that she got up from the bed.

"You're the one who is ridiculous, you went out with a girl named Lily! You're going to have dinner with her too!" She raised her voice and that's when I realized when she mentioned about her eating dinner alone is because she thinks I will go with Lily.

I bursted out laughing and can't help but smile like an idiot looking at her. She looked at me completely mad and she tried to pull my body away from the door but failed to move me.

"You're jealous." I said and with that Isabelle stopped.

"No, I'm not." She sat on the bed making it more hilarious than it is.

"You are, so you did the same thing what I did. You left the phone on purpose, didn't you?" I said and Isabelle looked at me coldly.

"I hate you." Jackpot.

"What did you do with Andre exactly? You should tell me, he said that you both should do it again next time." I asked and she looked away avoiding my eyes.

"We were just.. you know.."

"What? What were you two doing?" I asked but this time I really want to know.

"How about you? You're gone for hours with a girl named Lily!" She bursted angrily.

"I went to the bookstore, then got a massage, then went to the Starbucks where I met Lily who was one of the candidates from pops to be my future wife. I ignored her but she kept insisting on having a dinner with me and told me that she will never go until I go to the restaurant. That's all, that's the message you saw about Lily, if you read that."

"She called."

"Oh? What did you say to her?"

"I told her that I'm your secretary and that's all." I looked at her disbelief.

"I'm starting to really hate this." I said and she scoffed.

"Hate what?"

"Clearly that we're both jealous and we're playing cats and dogs because of it. I swear this is my first time arguing with someone about something like this." I let out a sigh.

"I'm not jealous." She said denying it when she clearly felt the same thing.

"Well I am, you should really tell Andre to fuck off or I will do it the hard way." I hissed.

"He's not here, he left. I just borrowed his phone to text myself that." I looked at her disbelief.

"You did that to make me jealous.."

"No."

"Yeah keep denying that cause I'm jealous." I said and she sighed.

"I'm not- I mean.. you left after our argument and.. you.. you didn't even bring your phone and you.. you.. spend hours.. I was waiti- ugh!" She frustrated and I felt bad because she's waiting for me. I thought we both need space. I guess Isabelle is not the type to.. have that space.

"I'm sorry if I keep you waiting, I should have.. stayed. I thought you needed space." I said.

"I'm not good at this, Sebastian."

"Not good at what?"

"Expressing. I used to be good at it but men hated it. They told I was to clingy and most of them.. when they wanted space, they never comeback." Now I felt so bad. I kneeled in front of her and grabbed her hands tightly.

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay. You apologized and I completely understand. At least, you came back. You didn't leave me here alone." I looked into her eyes and I knew immediately that she went through a lot of pain.

"I'm not them, Isabelle. You can say that you're jealous, you can correct me. I'm open to correction because that's how we grow as a person." I said and she bursted out crying. She hugged me and cried on my shoulder.

"There there.." I patted her back and caressed her head.

"I hate you.. for leaving.. you went out for more than 4 hours!" She hissed and I chuckled.

"I'm sorry, I'll make it up to you."

Isabelle Orsino

Sebastian didn't lie when he said he's going to make it up to me. He rented a lambo and we drove around Dubai with it. We opened the window and I love smelling the sea breeze.

I feel so happy and I just.. feel alive after all these years.

The car stopped near the beach and Sebastian told me to get out from the car. He got out first and I followed him out. He locked the car and gave me his hand. I grabbed it and we walked to the sand facing the sea.

"12 minutes to sunset." He said and I can't help but smile.

"Lily, the one that called." He started the conversation about that woman. "She's one of the women that my pops wanted me to marry. Pops introduced her to me but we weren't a match. She will do anything for the fame and for sure she won't be a good mother for my kids. And of course, she told me that she loves me but I doubt that. I think she loves my money more." I found myself nodding as I looked straight to the sea.

"I never really like someone or love them, I had past relationships but it wasn't that deep. Most of them love my money and love my title more, so dating them were only for fun." He added.

"To be honest, this is my first time treating someone, like I want to treat someone I love. Never thought that person would be my own wife, but I still can't say if my feelings are valid cause I'm still figuring it out." I turned to him and gave him a peck on his cheek.

"I guess we still have a lot of time, we should not rush things." I said and turned back to see the sun slowly going down.
