Chapter 14
How should I explain what I was feeling?
“Are you not feeling well, dear?” Grandpa asked me when I still hadn't said anything. Now everyone was looking at me, making me feel even more distressed.
“Tell Grandpa. Are you not feeling well?” Mason asked me with a serious look on his face while his hand moved even higher up my thigh. I glared at him, and his eyes glinted in amusement. I once again tried to move his hand away, but he refused to budge. Instead, he pinched my inner thigh, and it made me gasp. Sparks ran all over my body, and he smirked after getting a reaction out of me. My face flushed even more. I tried to hide my gasp behind a soft cough. I swallowed hard and cleared my throat before opening my mouth.
“Grandpa, I'm fine. Just feeling a little bit of weakness,” I replied with a small smile on my face. Talia rolled her eyes when I said that.
“Dear, you should take good care of yourself. Have you not been eating well?” He asked me with a concerned look on his face.
“Mason, why is she feeling weak? Are you not taking care of her?” Grandpa questioned him in a strict voice. It made Mason scratch his brow. I scoffed internally. He doesn't even know if I'm eating my food or drinking my water.
“Gradapa I tell her to eat, but she keeps on playing with her food,” he said, blaming me. I glared at him when he said that. He smirked, hiding it behind the glass of water.
“Roslyn, take care of your health and eat as much as you can. I want to see you put on some weight next time,” he said, looking at my dainty figure. I was healthy before, but now I have become so thin.
“Yes, Grandpa,” I said to him because I knew he cared for me.
“Here, try this roster fish. It's very nutritious and will cure your weakness,” he said while passing the plate towards me. Mason took it from him and put a generous amount of it on my plate, even though I protested.
“Eat,” Mason said with an encouraging smile on his lips. I glared at him. Grandpa smiled, looking at us. I like fish, but I was already so full. I still took some of it on a fork and ate it. The smell of the fish and the taste made bile rustle up my throat. I immediately clamped my mouth with my hand.
“What happened? You didn't like the fish?” Grandpa asked me with a worried look on his face. Mason gave me a glass of water, and I swallowed it even though I didn't want to. Talia looked at me with narrowed eyes when I pushed away the plate.
“I didn't like the smell of it,” I said while drinking more water. My eyes watered a bit because I swallowed it forcefully.
“Don't tell me you are pregnant,” Talia scoffed while her eyes remained narrow at me.
“What, you are pregnant?” Grandpa said it happily, with a very big smile on his face. The colour on my face was drained when he said that.
“I couldn't get any better birthday gift than this good news'' he said, looking so happy. How should I tell him that I'm not pregnant? I don't want anyone to know about my pregnancy. My heart started to beat fast in fear. Talia looked at us with a look of disbelief in her eyes.
“Is it real, Mason?” Talia asked Mason, still not believing it. Mason pulled his hand away from my thigh.
"No, she is not pregnant and never will be,” he said firmly with a clenched jaw. My heart broke when he said that. He never wants me to get pregnant. Tears formed in my eyes, but I blinked them away.
“Mason, you shouldn't say that. You are going to have lots of pups with her one day,” Grandpa said in anger, and it made him clench even more. His nose flared in anger at the mention of pups.
“Not having a pup with your Luna is a disrespect to family and our Alpha bloodline,” he said in anger, not liking it even a bit. The air around us was filled with tension. Grandpa was so angry that it could affect his health.
“Grandpa, please calm down. He said it like that because I don't want to have children now.” I tried to calm him down, and it worked, but he was still looking doubtful when I said that. He could sense something was not right.
“Don't tell Grandpa anything about our divorce. His health is already deteriorating,” he whispered. Warn me not to tell him anything.
“I know what to say and what not to say. You don't need to tell me,” I retorted back at him. I glared at him. Talia scoffed once again, looking at the situation. She was enjoying the drama she was getting for free.
"Roslyn, dear, please take good care of yourself. I want you to be strong enough to carry the next Alpha of this pack,” Grandpa said after calming down a little. I gave him a small smile with a nod.
“Mason, take Roslyn to the hospital and ask the doctors to give her some supplements. She needs to recover soon from her body weakness." Grandpa firmly commanded him, and he couldn't refuse him.
“I will do as you say, Grandpa,” he said firmly, and he grabbed my hand. I didn't want to go to the hospital, but he held my hand with a firm grip. I was on my feet immediately. I tried to get my hand out of his hold, but he wouldn't let go of it.
“Where are you taking me?” I asked when he opened the door of his car and made me sit in the front seat. He even put my seatbelt around me. He rounded the car and then took his seat. I don't want to go anywhere with him. Especially not to the hospital. I was scared to have my pregnancy revealed.
“I asked you, Where are you taking me?” I asked firmly this time when he started to drive the car. My heart started to beat fast when he said the next thing while focusing on the road.
“To the hospital. To get you checked, and then visit Lilian.”
