Chapter 51: Never Look Him in the Eyes

*They were looking for something from you, Rakiza.* Rakiza's thoughts were echoed by Theo's voice as she walked through the forest, following Theo. "Theo, where are we going?" She was perplexed by Theo's recent statements. You must follow me if you want proof of the vampire's cruelty. Hearing those statements caused Rakiza to have doubts, primarily because they came from Theo, who she had observed to have conflicts with Nikolas.
Theo remained silent once more and motioned to Rakiza to follow him into the woods without uttering a single accusatory word.
Rakiza had the impression that Nikolas was not the bad guy that Theo had painted him to be. Still, to see is to believe was Rakiza's way of accepting some truth. And now she was following Theo as they crossed the vast forest, she had yet to set foot in. The forest was becoming increasingly dense, and Theo wasn't in the mood to talk in such a hurry. Rakiza, on the other hand, was attempting to match Theo's speed and grumbled.
"Would you please slow down? I'm not used to you moving at that rate." "I am a human," Rakiza grumbled.
But Theo didn't slow down; instead, he accelerated, which enraged Rakiza, and she came to a halt, gasping for air. And it forced Theo to come to a halt as well.
"You are human, but you are not as human as you believe!" Theo yelled.
Rakiza frowned, unsure of what Theo was trying to say, but all she cared about was her gasping for air. "What are you on about?"
"What I mean is that you are more than human, but I'm not sure how you became a target of vampires." And I have no idea what it is in you that they are so desperate for. " He raised his voice.
"And where did you get the idea that I was carrying a vampire thing?"
"There were events in the dark world that were unknown to you, and you had already seen that," Theo said as he moved towards Rakiza. But the only way you'll understand why you're so important to us is if you lift those feet and come with me right now, "Theo said. Rakiza was forced to follow him as he continued to walk into the thickest woods of the forest.
She considered rebelling, but she restrained herself and returned to retrace Theo's steps. After a few minutes, Theo came to a halt beneath the cliff's large trees. Rakiza was taken aback by what she witnessed. They were on top of the cliff, looking down at a vast plain that appeared to be a war zone. And what she saw were the warriors fighting below. Some warriors wore red capes, similar to what she had seen in her dreams.
"That's the vampire warriors killing my people," Theo murmured bitterly. They won this round, and what you saw in our camp were the warriors who remained alive after the big battle down there. And the plain was once ours; what you see now is a vampire's infiltrated camp. And there were some of our kinds who were imprisoned down there. "
Rakiza couldn't believe what she was seeing. It mirrored her dreams, and she couldn't figure out why she had a dream about the real war between vampires and werewolves.
"And you have to pick a side to understand what's going on around you," Theo explained. "Now that you've seen proof of vampire cruelty, I can tell you why you're here."
Theo moved closer to Rakiza as he turned to face her. She was hurt and perplexed. She did, however, realize that Theo was telling her the truth. And she could see sadness and hurt in Theo's eyes. And she was taking it all in. "Why should I? "What are the vampires after in me? "
"The bloodstone," Theo revealed, never taking his gaze away from her.
"What about the bloodstone?" Rakiza was taken aback. She couldn't figure out how Theo knew about the "bloodstone," which is the main plot of her novel, The Bloodstone of Sheba. "
"There's a legend that vampires can walk in daylight if they have the bloodstone," Theo explained, continuing what he knew about myths and prophecies. That's why they were after you. Your ancestry can be traced back to Queen Huntress. "
Rakiza was eager to hear what Theo had to say. She also remembered the "Book of Zella," which had been given to her as a reference for her novel. And her boss was well aware of it.
"I have to return to my world, Theo. I need to see my boss and get the Book of Zella. That was the only way I could fit myself into your story. " She was upset about what was happening to her. What Theo had said was in reference to a book, and she needed to make that clear to her. And to figure out who she really was.
And the invading plain below started wreaking havoc. And it concerned Theo: "Let's return to the camp." Something new must be going on."
As a result, they both returned to the camp. And Theo left Rakiza in her tent once more, promising to return soon. "I have to attend a meeting before we return to your world," he said quickly, leaving Rakiza worried.
*What exactly is going on? Why did I end up being a werewolf's accomplice?* Rakiza was at a loss for words at the time. She was both perplexed and terrified of the future. But she took in Theo's explanations bit by bit. And deep down, she knew he was telling the truth. And if the prophecy is correct, she will face a major fear in her life. And thinking about Nikolas' true intentions for her caused her skin hair to stand up.
Time flew by, and it was already dark, and all of the gas lamps were lit, illuminating the camp's lined tents on a vast plain. Rakiza awoke, startled to see Theo sleeping soundlessly by the side of her bed. She was about to wake him up when she noticed how tired Theo's face was. She'd never seen him as frail as he was at the time. And she wondered, *so the wolf will also get tired.*
Rakiza's face was paler than usual as she stared at Theo's lips and remembered and felt his kisses. She wanted to forget the moment she savored Theo's lips, and she felt uneasy as she watched him sleep. Then he moved, opened his eyes, and looked Rakiza in the eyes.
"You've already woken up, huh?" He stretched, "Are you ready to return to your dorm?"
"Yes," Rakiza replied, "but what happened in the plain?" "What is the source of their anarchy?" As she rose to her feet, she unintentionally expressed her concern.
Rakiza sensed Theo's eyes brightening and awkwardly asked, "Can you send me home? You may allow anyone to accompany me back to the dorm."
Theo stated emphatically, "I brought you here, and I will take you home." And he stood up and led Rakiza into another tent, where she would have her last supper with the rest of the Silver-moon pack, where Theo was the fighter.
"How do you feel about this location?"
As they sat around the table with the veggie menu, the old man inquired. Rakiza was shy and silent in front of them.
Rakiza expressed sincerity. "I'm sorry about what happened to your warriors." And she meant it when she said it. She could still feel the agony that Theo's people went through.
"Thank you for your concern," but "you can help us if you cut your ties with vampires," the old man said.
Rakiza didn't know what to say. She made no promises for the future, but she knew she had to do something to help them. Not because of Theo, but of what her heart desired. Theo was correct; she needed to take a side in order to survive. But the question was how she would confront Nikolas Augustus and tell him she was not marrying him. Or did she really not want to marry him? She was now bursting at the seams with the desire to try new things and wanted to resolve whatever conflict she was experiencing.
After eating, Theo and Rakiza were getting ready to leave the werewolf warrior's camp. She said goodbye to the tent attendants, the old man, and some of the pack members, saying, "It's been a pleasure and honor to have come to this place," and adding, "This will be part of my memory forever." I appreciate your compassion and understanding. It was greatly appreciated, and I hope to see you again. " Rakiza waved goodbye. But before they left the group, the old man said something to Rakiza. "Please help the Zeta, Rakiza," he said, as he turned his gaze to Theo, which gave Rakiza the idea that Theo was in the pack, and that his rank was zeta.

They then left the camp via a tunnel that led back to the waterfalls. They were back on the path from which they had entered. After pulling themselves from the secret passage beneath the water of the waterfalls, they were all wet again, thanks to Theo's silent walking.
They were back on the street in Ghazin City after a few hours. "What could possibly happen to them?" And why are you referred to as Zeta Alpha? And Rakiza was still perplexed as to what that title was. "How come the Oldman referred to you as zeta alpha?" She inquired casually. "What does zeta mean?"
"You'll have to figure it out on your own." It should be necessary for you to do some homework and know what you want to know without being told. " Theo came to a halt near the dorm's door. They arrived at eight o'clock in the evening. Rakiza's friends were also anticipating her arrival.
"I'd like to meet your mother, Rakiza," Theo explained.
"Please don't include my mother in this situation, Theo." Rakiza shivered. "I don't want her to get involved with you and Nikolas," Rakiza pleaded. "And please give me Nikolas's two rings; I'll return them to him, and at the very least I have all the important reasons why I should see him," she said.
Theo remained silent and did not press the issue with Rakiza. "All right, but be aware that I'll be around," he said as he walked away, and Rakiza dashed into the house.
"We've been concerned about you." Susan added, "Someone is looking for you."
"And the limousine driver was here, ostensibly to pick you up; where were you, Rakiza?" Chin continued, adding rapidly, "And your lady boss was here as well; everyone is worried about you."
Rakiza had no prepared response for them, so she just stared at them, feeling guilty. She realized she couldn't reveal where she'd been and that Theo's location was a secret that shouldn't be disclosed to others.
"What's the matter with you being so quiet? Tell us the truth, Rakiza. What exactly happened to you? " Chin was more concerned than Susan.
And Rakiza knew she wouldn't stop questioning her until she got satisfactory answers. But what else could she say? Nobody would believe her if she told them she was with Theo, the werewolf. And that she was in his camp and was aware of the vampire-werewolf conflict. As a result, it's preferable to find a substantial alibi. "I went home to see my mother."
Her two friends eventually accepted it and left her alone in her room. She then opened the window to see if Theo was nearby, but the woods behind the dorm were empty and dark. Autumn was approaching, and the fallen leaves on the ground were illuminated by the lamp posts for the night. Rakiza was overcome with sadness and wished for Theo's presence. Then she opened her right hand and carefully examined the two rings’ Nikolas had given her.
*You must return those rings to him in order to break the engagement.* Rakiza's mind was filled with Theo's voice. *And never look him in the eyes.
