24_ mate
Easton, Hunter, De Russo
"Hunter, I'm not lying, I can smell our mate in him; the more I sensed our mate from the fragrance of his blood."
Vall said in a grave tone.
"No, I'll make sure you were mistaken. That dude was just an ordinary person. And he was a male, for Pete's sake." I muttered, annoyed. I'm combing my hair with my finger.
"Perhaps you were gay then." Vall stated: "That infuriates me. I cringe at the man in my kitchen because of the way he chuckles.
I go into the kitchen out of frustration to confront the driver, but all I can do is reach into the fridge.
Just a moment ago, I was hoping he would sneak into the kitchen and cover his face from me. Now I know he thinks I'm strange.
It seems like only a moment ago when I yelled at him to come inside, so I followed him like a fool.
But I must because of what my wolf says. Having a mate who is another male was ridiculous because I'm a fucking guy!
My wolf could now detect this mate thing for a guy, so I don't think I'd have the courage to ask someone about it. I had assumed that because I was a hybrid, I was exempt because we usually feel our mate at eighteen. However, because I was a different one, I didn't know how to feel about it.
I must be certain since doing so would be embarrassing.
Maybe this hunger would go away if I could taste his blood. Or perhaps I would have some knowledge.
I must therefore approach him. I don't mind gay people, but there's no way I was one. I'm just saying I wasn't and couldn't accept the fact that my partner was a man.
Before attempting to ask him in a more composed manner, I took a long breath. He instantly assured me that he was not gay when I asked whether he was. His face was also pale, but I could tell via his eyes that he wanted to say something.
I can tell he was lying, for example, by the way he gulps the water.
When I wasn't able to extract what I wanted to hear from him, I slumped the drink cup. I desired to compel him. If he wouldn't reveal the truth in this way, I would do it the hard way because I knew I wasn't a guy.
I can see the man's fear in his eyes, and I know I'm acting morally. I tried to remain cool even though my wolf was starting a fire in my head. If I'm not, I might murder a stranger today. But as I smell his blood once more, I see that he has gotten worse, perhaps as a result of the time he struck me with a pitcher. I once again went insane. I could still think even though my body was no longer within my control.
I made an effort to control myself, but the draw of his blood was too strong. My vision became more blurrier as I watched him shake his head.
I let go of his strong hold as he rushed away from me. Before he could open the door, I got him back.
The only thing I could make out of him was "Please.." and even that came out of his mouth felt like a whisper to me.
However, just as I was about to bite him, I was caressed by the heat of his falling tears. I, for one, return to my true self. I dropped the man when I let go of him.
I could hear Luis sobbing a little louder since he was sitting on the floor and concealing his face. He was trembling in terror.
"Rise up. I'm sorry, OK. I warned you against doing it again, but you disregarded my advice."
I'm not sure why just touching his tears makes me feel better.
I'm aware that there's something off about him, and given what my wolf said, I might look into it further. It won't be mate since perhaps my system wouldn't work well as a hybrid.
"damn it, fix yourself! I won't harm you ever again."
Since he was on the ground, he slowly ascended.
"Your eyes are all right again now."
Fix yourself, we're leaving to go home.
I commanded you to turn around.
"I'll get to work on tomorrow's proposal to my fiance."
The man quickly stood up, as I could see.
"Your boyfriend?"
While I was seated in the chair and Luis was returning to the kitchen as if nothing had happened, I simply nodded my head.
Although I can still hear his heartbeat, his powerful perfume is able to take care of me at this point.
The need to apologize was on the tip of my tongue, so it's possible that I was hypnotized to act in a certain way or that I felt sympathy for him.
To make a reservation for what I had planned for tomorrow, I dialed a posh restaurant.
You still have wolf blood in you, even though you're a hybrid, right?
I pause for a second before turning back to look at the man. Near the kitchen door, he was standing.
What are your knowledge on it?
Do you already have a partner? Do you know your soul partner yet? Have you got one?"
The man appeared to be hiding something as he shook his head.
"No, not yet, although I hear a lot of that from certain wolf friends," I replied. even if I've never encountered it. I can say that once you meet your soul mate, you can't ignore her.
I said,
"I don't have time for that," and shrugged.
I said before getting up.
"Let's leave. I have no time for anything else. I am confident in my fiance's ability to make me happy."
I uttered those words as the man entered through the door.
"Do we leave now?"
