48- Annoying feeling

Hunter

His heart wants to celebrate the triumph at these hours. He wants to jump in and rejoice. But he tried not to show it to Louise.

He relaxed his nerves. Try to come back to what he's been doing. What is that again? Ah, I was arranging the bedsheets and pillow just to say that I was occupied.

He looks back at his so-called wife when he thinks that Louise won't drop the topic.

"What? What do you think our problem is, Hunter? Do we need to talk? Because I literally don't know what else, aside from my father's, your problem is to me."

He could see how Louise's complexion was slowly turning red in frustration toward me.

"Yeah, nothing! We don't have to talk! There's no problem about us! Hunter! Maybe I am just seeing something or thinking differently. Because why would you act the way I wanted if in the first place I already have a huge sin to pay?"

Louise sighs; she looks so tired over something.

"But I'm just thinking maybe try to be civil, Hunter. Like, say good morning, or hi! Or good night! Right? If it's not wasting your time or energy," Louise said sarcastically.

"Because I feel like I'm a statue in front of you, like a wind that you feel but still ignore."

He wants to laugh because she's so cute when she's frustrated.

I clench my fist. I shouldn't feel this way. It's forbidden; it couldn't be.

"Are you done? Wife? OK, good night. Can I go to sleep now?

He smirked and lay down on the right side of the bed, while Louise was on the other side.

I couldn't believe what Hunter did. He just smirked at me. Lay down and cover his whole body with his sheet. Bullshit!

Until I fell asleep that night, I was so frustrated with him.

When the morning comes, I decide to ignore him too. Wait? Where is my so-called husband? He's not in bed? When I woke up.

I was about to find him outside as the door opened, and the guy that she'd been looking for was there, standing proudly in his suite.

I need to go now. The company needs me; there's a bit of a problem.

Hunter said.

I raised one eyebrow. "But you still need to rest. The doctor clearly tells you."

"Don't act like you're truly worried, Louise. It's not relevant for the daughter of the man who wants me dead. And kill my whole family and love once as well."

I clenched my teeth. Before I say

"Yeah, maybe. But always remember this, Hunter. What my dad has been doing is his choice, not mine. And maybe you're not that numb, right? You can tell it to yourself what is true or not around you. I'd pay for what my dad did; I already did it. I just hope you know.

Louise turns around. Left him dumbfounded. After that, he followed her and found her in the kitchen eating breakfast. I sit and eat too. But after a minute, my phone rang, and I answered it immediately.

"Hello Misty?"

"Sir, you need to sign a lot of paper today. I'm sorry, I know that you need to take a rest. But this is urgent."

I nod even though I know that my secretary won't see me.

"Ok, Misty, I know. Just wait a bit and prepare myself."

"Yes, sir, thank you."

After I turn off my phone, I immediately go upstairs to change my clothes.

I was about to go when Kian appeared, so I forced myself to kiss goodbye to my wife. Even if I'm not in the mood yet.

I tap Kian and ask him to take care of my wife for a while.

Where would Hunter go? He seems in a hurry.

I sigh. Maybe his company needs him, I guess.

"Is that so? Maybe that's why he entrusted you to me for a while," Kian said. I just nodded.

She walked through her room and lay down in her bed. She didn't notice her tears flowing for no reason.

On Sunday morning, as she was watering the garden, her landline phone rang. And maybe all the servants are busy, so she's the one to answer it.

"Hello, who's this?"

"Good morning, maam; is Mr. De Russo there?"

Is a woman's voice, yet it sounds like flirting. She instantly got mad.

"Why? Why are you looking for my husband? Do you need something from him?" She answered in a bit of a higher tone.

"Oh, sorry, ma'am, this is Mr. De Russo's secretary. I'm Misty. I just need to talk to him about something confidential," the woman said. She talked slowly, a bit tender and gentle. That made her more frustrated.

"Hello, ma'am, are you still there?"

She grits her teeth and says, "Just wait; I will call him."

As she turned to step, Hunter appeared right on time, walking down the stairs.

"Hunter! You have a call she tells; her name is Misty!"

She handed over the phone to Hunter with force. And walk stomping back to the garden.

I'm confused looking at Louise walking like she's so furious.

"Why is Louise acting like that? It's only Misty, for Pete's sake!" I talked to my secretary. She informed me that the investigators had notified her that they needed my presence. They already found Louise's dad! I instantly changed and ran towards my car. Without saying goodbye to my wife. This is it; I'm almost there. Justice for my parents is coming, and leaving Louise is closer too.

"Sir, we already found Mr. Yantisco; we want to inform you first before we attack him."

I sigh and nod." Just go! Do what you need to do. I need him alive so he can pay his sins to the prison for life. Aside from that, I have to locate Ryker as well. Maybe Yantisco knows where the man is since they were together during all of this sin.

Louise*

Hunter instantly changed after that call. I don't know why, but I'm freaking jealous. There's a pain inside that I can't explain.

She stays silent because he ignores me. When he came home that night.

She was lying in bed when her husband slipped inside.

"Louise, tomorrow I will go early. I need to check some things."

Hunter said, however, that she kept her mouth shut. She shifted to turn her back to him.

"Do you have a problem, Louise?"

"Mind your own business, Hunter. And please, you don't have to tell where or when you want to go. If you want to go, then go! I don't care. Let's sleep. I want to rest. If you still don't want to sleep, just make sure to keep silent, or if you want, you can go wherever you want to go. Be with someone you want to be with."

"Tsk. Moody," Hunter murmured, but still she heard it.

"I said silent Hunter," I said.

But Hunter didn't listen; instead, her husband came close to her and hugged her behind. He hugged her tightly, like he didn't want her to go.

It's so hurtful to think too much. Her tears flowed down in so much pain.
