25_ My fiance

Louise

"Looks who's here?" my eyes widen as I see Ryker.

We were eating lunch at a restaurant Hunter picked out.

It was a nice eatery that was close to the city's center. Maybe an hour's drive from the office of Hunter and a half-drive hour's from the restaurant, he chose where he would propose to his girlfriend. I inhaled deeply once more. Every time I thought about Hunter's girlfriend, or should I say fiance, a pang in my chest would hit.
I still dont want to accept the fact that he could be my mate because just the other night I found out that I was pregnant with his baby. Then, aside from what I found out about my father and fiance, this morning I letterally disguised as a man with the help of my friend's help. My life became a roller coaster every hour pass. The person in front of me offended me. He nearly killed me and made me want return home, where I would have to face my father's anger and that of Ryker, my fiancé. And now that he has appeared in front of me unexpectedly. I believe the panic attack developed gradually.

"Like me, I assumed you were preoccupied since their throne was about to be transferred to the rightful owner after your father's death and mine. One thing though—as far as I know, you weren't married or even dating anyone. Hope you are aware of the law. If I were you, I would find a spouse right now.
Ryker's lengthy lecture is finished, but Hunter is still grinning.

"I guess whoever your investigator is, you didn't do a good job.huh? Don't worry, I'll make sure to invite you to my wedding as well, just as you did for your engagement party."

Hunter remarked,

Even though I know he was only trying to defend himself verbally, I can tell that he was still grieving the loss of his father.

Perhaps Hunter was still unsure of who had actually murdered his father and his entire family. Hunter would be indignant if he realized who had once hurt his love, I have no doubt about it. A word was not only available to Ryker.

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that, Easton. Since the day of your father's passing was also the day I got engaged, I was unable to forget it."

I spit for a moment like I choke with the water I drink when I remember my engagement day. While it is true that I lost hope that day, Hunter's fate is sealed on that day.

"Can you imagine that? I was very happy that day, while the other people suffered."

As far as I can tell, Hunter was about to blow up based on his palm-fist grip on the ball and his narrowed eyes.

I must therefore take some action before that.

"I don't think this place was appropriate for a De Russo heir. Sir, can we go somewhere much quieter? The customer here looks cheap due to their loud mouth. That, I guess, was all he had."

"What did you say? Are you referring to me?" stated Ryker. I could see his actual hue when I looked into his eyes. Due to his humble appearance at the time, I couldn't see it, but after hearing him express how joyful he was that day despite someone else's suffering, all of my great hopes for him had been dashed.
Ryker violently grabbed my shoulder and yanked me toward him.

"Dimbo, I'm speaking to you."

I make a man-like head tilt. Before I speak, I muster all of my courage.

"I saw you on TV. The same goes for my boss and you. Your father was also gone, as I recall. I assume you are familiar with how it feels to lose a father. Even though you and my boss were fierce rivals, at least as a person you have empathy for someone who has gone through something similar to what you have, unless you didn't feel what they felt or you are rejoicing in their agony."

Ryker shifted his fingers to grip my collar. He appears upset and angry with what I said.

"Are you implying that I didn't suffer to the death of my father?"
I shrugged and grinned.

"I don't know why I was the one you asked. I was merely expressing the obvious. Do I hit the nerve?"

Ryker's fist instantly flew, but Hunter managed to deflect it before it could strike me.
Although Hunter's eyes weren't crimson, I could tell he was angry because he was radiating fire.

I sense it. I wasn't sure if Ryker's behavior was a result of what he said about his father or of what he was about to do, though.

"Come on, Lou, you know Ryker's his father were the reason."

"Becca, stop talking."

I believe you are correct, Luis; this place was for cheapos who only knew how to rant. Let's leave.
Ryker's fist was easily grabbed by Hunter, who then simply pushed forward firmly. He then took hold of my wrist and led the way out of the building with me.

"Despite your short stature, I had no idea that you were a courageous man. Have you seen Ryker's face?"

Hunter exclaimed that with joy. Though I accomplished something amusing

"Do you think he'd change his mind about what I said?" I questioned as I turned the key.
You appear to be accusing him there, so maybe.

"You seem to have implied that he was happy with his father's passing and showed no signs of grieving."
I moaned. I became overwhelmed by my emotions. I still clearly recall Ryker and my father discussing all of their crimes and sins. I totally overreached. I didn't think about what would occur if he saw me.

"drive, in a restaurant nearby. I need a few drinks."
I just nod, Hunter remarked. Nearly too good to be true, he was.

I'm not sure why, but I'm hoping this will continue until I can decide what I want to do with my life.
