A Different Method
On the other hand, Lillianne's relationship with Blaze Davies has remained awkward since that night. The man continued to act professionally as usual, and so did she. It's just that Lillianne was having trouble finding a way to seduce him again.
That was why she used another method instead.
Lately, she kept pushing Theodoros to act like he had a crush on her. The assistant unexpectedly did it well. He can portray it naturally. He often stole a gaze at her, initiated conversations, and did other sweet things in front of Blaze. Blaze seemed to be starting to realize it, although she didn't know what he thought about it.
"Are you okay, Ms. Guinn?"
Luna was surprised when the assistant talked to her out of nowhere. She just realized that she had daydreamed in the middle of their discussion about the upcoming meeting. The fatigue had gotten her again because she had put too much energy into her magic lately.
She quickly raised her head to the assistant and forced a smile. "Yeah, of course, I am, Mr. Greg."
"You are quiter than usual. Your face is also a little pale," The man added. Lillianne realized how his words made Blaze, who had been busy with his tablet PC, steal glances.
"Do I?" Lillianne pretended to be confused while touching her cheek. "I feel fine, though."
If she was honest, everything had felt harder lately. Duplicating herself for days was quite draining. Not to mention how she also had to use her other supernatural powers at the same time -- especially to be able to catch up with her work as Blze's secretary.
It was all so tiring, but she felt she couldn't give up. She must find the best method to approach Evelyn Davies to charm her father. Apparently, it was the only way to be accepted by the cold man.
"Here. Have some water." Theo Greg suddenly grabbed a bottle of water from the table. He even opened the cap before giving it to her. "If you don't mind, I want to buy you some vitamins and supplements later. You look like you need them. Is that okay?"
"Oh, you don't need to do that, Mr. Greg."
"No, let me do it. I just want to help you," he insisted.
"If you don't feel like it's a bother, then of course, you can. I'd be grateful instead," said Lillianne. It was her turn to act. She tried to look awkward and flattered by the man's attention.
“Anytime,” he said while showing her another sweet smile.
Meanwhile, Blaze Davies seemed to be unconsciously listening to the conversation. He was a little embarrassed when the two people glanced at him as if he had been caught eavesdropping on them.
"But you really look tired, Miss Guinn? Are you really all right?" he asked in an indifferent tone. He focused on his gadget again.
'Are you worried about me, darling?'
Blaze Davies never knew how such a trivial thing would matter to her. She was indeed tired. Lately, it also felt so hard. Oh, how she desired to cuddle with him. She wanted to rest by his side.
However, she still had to endure it for now.
"I am okay, sir. I promise my condition won't affect my work," she replied shortly afterward.
"You better not. It's too packed here anyway. I hope you have good stamina because that's one thing I require the most from my secretary," he added.
"And I can give you that, sir. I am always ready to serve you. You don't need to doubt me."
The boss ignored her words, though. His eyes kept being glued to his tablet PC screen.

Lillianne had collected some information about Evelyn Davies in more than two weeks of teaching her. She knew that every morning Blaze dropped his daughter off before going to work. Meanwhile, she will be picked up by the driver and nanny in the afternoon.
The female Luna was still curious about Evelyn's drawing. She even had confirmed to the other teachers about it. They expressed the same information about the kid's obsession with the sea. Since she couldn't ask the answer father and daughter directly, she tried to get it from another source.
"Ah, about that sea. Of course, there is a reason for that." Her nanny looked sad in an instant. She held back tears before continuing, "It's a special place for the three of them. Mr. Blaze and Mrs. Rhea first met on a trip to the Belize. Meanwhile, Miss Eve is also fond of it. Since she was still a baby, her father has often taken her to their private mansion in Miami. That was their favorite resting place. Until that tragedy happened..."
"What tragedy?" Lillianne frowned. She was increasingly curious.
"Mr. Blaze almost drowned once while swimming there. At that time, only I and Miss Evelyn were there to watch him from the beach, so when that happened it was quite chaotic. I screamed frantically for anyone to help him, but for several minutes no one came. Miss Evelyn was also crying in fear because of that. Luckily, someone finally passed by and helped him after about ten minutes." She paused and took a deep breath. "It left a big trauma for Miss Evelyn. Since then, she refused to be taken there or any beach. She said she was afraid her father would leave her like her mother."
Lillianne sighed. It was indeed quite miserable, even though her emotional abilities limited her from feeling pity or sympathy.
"What about her character? Is she always that secretive and even difficult to approach?" Lillianne moved on to another topic.
"Yeah, that's her personality. It's because she was weak and sickly since baby, so she couldn't actively play like children her age. Mr. Blaze had tried to get his friends' kids to play with her, he also put her to this school for the same reason, but it doesn't seem to work very well. Miss Evelyn has never been comfortable with anyone other than her father and the people she meets at home."
'That means there is almost no hope for me to get her blessing to be with her father. Blaze also wouldn't want to open his heart to me if it wasn't for his daughter. Damn, why is this more complicated than I thought?'
However, Lillianne wasn't going to give up so easily. It was nothing compared to her centuries of waiting and struggle anyway. She was sure she could handle it.
'Just wait...'

It looked like a regular day in Vienna City, Austria. Packed streets, people passing by, and even some gatherings in popular hangout spots. There was nothing unusual.
Until you look up at the sky there were seven strange golden lights shot rapidly from all corners of the city. It seemed invisible to the people below since they looked like they didn't even notice it, not even when they rushed together toward the highest building there.
Meanwhile, at the top of DC Tower 1, there was an unusual crowd. You wouldn't believe your eyes when the lights gathered and hit one man among them. It then disappeared inside of him.
He was Zephyr, our antagonist. He just showed off his self-replication skills, just like Lillianne did. The difference was that he was able to make his other seven selves as one of the strongest werewolves in the world. It was only one of the various supernatural abilities he had.
"She is not here," he muttered as he opened his eyes. He didn't look tired at all after displaying such extraordinary power.
"I agree, Your Majesty. The warriors didn't find anything either," said the large man standing behind him.
"What about those in other countries? Is there any good news?" Zephyr asked again.
"Unfortunately there are none at the moment, sir. I have contacted those on every continent, but for about five days since the search began no sign of Her Majesty Lillianne's whereabout. But, you don't need to worry, Your Majesty. The announcement about her search has been spread by word of mouth by our folks who are spread in various countries of the world. I believe it won't be too long until we find her," said Commander Julio.
"I hope so. I've had a bad feeling lately. This is the same thing I experienced when the two Lenader reincarnations appeared back then. This might be a sign," muttered the Alpha King as he eyed the crowd in downtown Vienna.
"Then, should we move on to the next city, sir? How about we go to Salzburg City--"
"Not so fast, Julio. It's just going to be an easy war like the ones before anyway. We will win." Zephyr chuckled. He turned to look at the commander and the warriors lined up behind him. "Instead, I want to have some fun first. Where are the new concubines we met on our way here? Tell them to meet me at the nicest hotel in the city."
