New Day

Lillianne was nervous about seeing Blaze again at the office the next day. She wondered if anything had changed about his boss after she told him her secret.
'I doubt it would change that quickly because the wolf inside him hadn't woken up yet, but... just in case. Leander was a powerful Alpha King in the past after all,' she hoped for that.
The man finally arrived after a few minutes. Lillianne swallowed hard, nervously when they met eyes. The man still looked as cold as ever.
'It's not working?'
"G-Good morning... sir."
Actually, she was tired of this facade and wanted to stop it right away. She desired to address the man as herself after yesterday's conversation. However, she still had to control herself. Many eyes were watching them.
"Uhm, morning," the man muttered while glancing at him briefly before passing her by just like that. The CEO then entered his room.
'What's with his reaction? So, it really didn't work?' Lillianne was a little down.

Meanwhile, Blaze immediately breathed a sigh of relief behind the door. It was quite difficult for him to act normal in front of her after the strange thing he experienced last night.
It was a big dilemma for him. Last night, when he woke up from those dreams, he wanted to find Lillianne right away to ask her explanation about it. However, he decided to restrain himself.
'No. That doesn't mean I can just believe her. I accept the fact that she is not an ordinary human being, but I don't completely buy her words. It might not be real but a manipulation that she created with her power to mess with my head. I have to stay alert.'
Blaze would pretend for now. He didn't know how long it would last, but he would check the situation until then. He also wanted to observe her silently.
'Let's see where this goes.'
Blaze brushed it off to focus on his job. However, just as he sat at the desk, his cell phone vibrated. He frowned when he got a message from an unknown number.
"What's now?" He read it quickly and was stunned. "What the hell?"
+1736XXX: It's me, Evelyn's real father. Let's do this. Let's see who is right and wrong. That's the only way, right?
+1736XXX: You can sue me for yesterday's incident, but I will do the same. I will file a custody complaint for Evelyn. I am going to win this because I have irrefutable proof. You better get ready.
"Sh*t."
Blaze took a deep breath. He remembered one of his dreams last night when he witnessed how his late wife kissed another man. They even had hand in hand after that.
'The problem is I remember that it was indeed the clothes Rhea wore that night because it was the dress I gave her for her birthday.'
Just like that, his doubts about the truth of Lillianne's words continue to be shaken. However, he still refused to believe it for several reasons.
'No, no. That could have been a trick played on my brain. That is not true. Evelyn is my daughter.'

"Told you, it won't be that easy. Even though he was an Alpha King, he has been asleep for too long. He hasn't even had time to realize himself in his two previous lives."
Elara expressed her opinion when they gathered during the break. Theodoros was also there with them.
"That's the point. His previous lives didn't know that, but he did. I managed to make a move that I didn't do in the past. So, it could have been different," Lillianne reasoned.
"But maybe it won't that instant. Maybe it takes a little time for that," Elara voiced her opinion again.
Lillianne didn't say anything else after that. She couldn't deny it since she didn't see anything peculiar about Blaze today. He just ignored her as usual.
"What do you think, Theodoros. You are the closest person to His Majesty. Have you found anything wrong with him today?" Elara asked the vagabond werewolf who had said anything yet.
"To be honest, he looks different today, but I think that's just because he's in a bad mood. I don't see any strange signs related to his true identity as a werewolf." Theo Greg was very careful in saying it so as not to make Lillianne feel worse. "But I think you have done the right thing, Your Majesty. I would do the same if I were you. I think it's only a matter of time before that happens."
"But we don't have that much time. We have to do it as quickly as possible." Lillianne suddenly got up from her seat, leaving her food untouched. "If progress is slow, then I will just need to keep pushing him. That's the best thing for him."
Lillianne then just left her two allies there, leaving them who seemed to feel bad for her.
"Hey, looks like you have to help her," said Elara shortly afterward. Theodoros turned to her.
"What can I do for her, Young Lady?" Theodoros reacted quickly.
Elara instead narrowed her eyes, looking at the CEO's assistant suspiciously. "Aren't you too sweet toward her? Is that real or just acting? Don't tell me you really have a crush on her."
"It's not like that, Young Lady." Theodoros refuted faster than she expected. "I do this as a my devotion to her and His Majesty. From the first day I met her and learned h er identity, I vowed to always do anything to help her -- even sacrificing my life. So, that's why I am like this."
Elara looked quite amazed, but she held it back. She still had to test his loyalty.
"Really? But to be honest, we don't trust you yet. As I often say, we have been through too much over these hundreds of years. Not one or two traitors have ever said the same thing to us, so I will still keep an eye on you," she stated. She then moved closer to him. "Anyway, about what I said earlier. I want you to..."
