Another Side of Her

Blaze and Lillianne rushed toward the school building. In front of the gate, Evelyn's nanny and the driver who usually picked her up were waiting for Blaze.
'Oh no! I forgot that I haven't erased my existence here. They will be able to recognize my face as Evelyn's homeroom teacher.' Lillianne panicked a little when she remembered that. She reflexively hid her face from anyone who passed in front of the school building. 'Damn, I deliberately postponed for now. I didn't expect sh*t like this to happen suddenly. I can't fix it in an instant, and I am also not the Alpha King who can shapesifting.'
"Wait here a moment," said Blaze before leaving the car. He immediately approached his subordinates.
Luckily, Lillianne could use her other power that let her hear their conversations even from a distance.
'So, Evelyn was caught on CCTV going willingly with an unknown man? This is unbelievable.'
Blaze looked increasingly panicked because of that. He then invited the two people to come with him inside to check the surveillance cameras. He also wanted to hear the testimonies from the academy.
'But I can't just stay here. I need to do something because it seems like I can help. It has been more than 30 minutes since Evelyn left. I can't waste any more time.'
She hesitated about it for a few minutes, but a decision was finally made. He chose to go for it.
Lillianne prepared herself before getting out of the car. She then walked into the school gate.
Almost everyone she met greeted her. It was a flaw in her plan, but there was nothing she could do. She decided to put Evelyn's safety first. She would think about how to deal with the consequences later.
She followed Blaze to the teacher's office. When she arrived there, the situation was not good. The teachers seemed to be gossiping with each other with worried faces. Meanwhile, Blaze was in the principal's office with several technicians to check the surveillance cameras. There were also security representatives there.
"I swear to god that she went willingly with him, sir. Even I was unsure at first because it wasn't the person who usually picked her up, but Miss Evelyn herself said that it was her father's friend, and I believed it. I just realized there was something wrong when this nanny came."
"You shouldn't let her go that easily with a stranger." Blaze looked more frantic than ever. He was so furious when talking to anyone. "You too. How come you were so late to pick her up that she waited so long and went with someone else instead?"
The nanny and driver looked so guilty that they didn't even dare to look up. "We are sorry, sir. But something unexpected happened on the way here. One of the tires was suddenly punctured by an unknown device, so we--"
"Argh, don't you dare reason with me!" Blaze cut them off quickly.
At that moment, Lillianne finally decided to enter.
"Miss Guinn, you are here? You must have heard what happened."
The principal's greeting made Blaze, who was still fiddling with surveillance camera footage, immediately glance at her. He was confused as to why his secretary was there as well as why people seemed to know her.
Lillianne ignored his curiosity and approached him. She immediately checked the recording.
'As I thought, it was him. That's the man I saw looking at Evelyn Davies the other day. Why did the kid go with him?'
"Lillianne--"
"Take the footage with you and let's search her with it," she said to the boss.
Blaze looked more confused. "H-Huh? What do you mean? W-Why are you even here?"
"It's not important. I will explain later. What's clear, if you want to save Evelyn as soon as possible, let's do it now."
Blaze and the others still looked perplexed. However, the man didn't need to be asked twice to do it. He somehow found the confidence of conviction in Lillianne's face.
"Please take the recording." He spoke to the technician first, before turning to the caretaker. "Send it to me immediately, okay?" he said before inviting Lillianne to leave there.
"Y-Yes, sir, s-sure..." said the nanny. Among the other, she looked confused the most about the two people. How do they know each other? If she recalled, it was also the first time she saw her master with a woman other than his late wife.

Blaze had no clue about her sudden change in attitude. Moreover, it looked even more odd when he realized that almost everyone here recognized his secretary.
'Had she ever worked here? But that's not written on her resume, though. Besides, the principal said earlier that...'
“Hey, Miss Guinn, you here? Didn't you call in sick?”
He was even more dumbfounded when one of the teachers greeted her like that.
'Sick leave? What the hell are they talking about?'
"You must be worried because you are her homeroom teacher, right? It's only the first day since your leave."
'W-What? Her homeroom teacher? Who? E-Evelyn?'
Lillianne didn't listen to her, though. She neglected her, leaving the teacher perplexed. She invited Blaze to go with her faster. The man just obeyed even though he was confused to death.
He received the footage when he arrived at the parking lot. Lillianne had already occupied the passenger seat first.
"Ah, I even forgot to call the police. I'd better--"
"No. You don't need to do that," Lillianne cut him off.
Blaze looked like he couldn't take it anymore. "What's with you since earlier? W-Why are you suddenly acting strangely like this as if you know where she is? Gosh, I don't even understand how they all know you and then consider you as one of them."
"That's a long story. I told you I'd tell you later. Now, let's focus on finding your daughter first."
"Do you even where she is? You are not messing with me, are you? I don't have time for this."
"That's what we are doing now." She answered quickly. "This is the way to find Evelyn the quickest. Only I can do that right now."
"What the f*ck? Are you a gang of kidnappers or something?"
Lillianne ignored him and grabbed a watch that had been lying on the dashboard instead. "This is Evelyn's, isn't it?” she asked before sniffing it.
"What the hell are you doing now?"
Lillianne didn't answer him again. She continued to check it for a while. She even sniffed the empty air after that.
"Let's go. Start your car engine," she ordered.
"Hey, I don't have time for your bullshit--"
"Come on, Leander. Don't waste any more time. We have to hurry if you want to save your daughter. This is the only way!" Lillianne shouted a little. She was also getting impatient.
“Sh*t, that f*cking name again. Stop calling me that!" Blaze snorted in annoyance. Actually, he was still hesitant. He didn't fully trust her either. But somehow, he felt the need to follow her. "I am just going to see what you are planning. If you don't manage to find her later, for God's sake I don't even know what I am going to do to you," he grumbled before starting the car engine.
"Let's head west for now," Lillianne said as the car started to move away from that place.

'What's with her? Is this even right?'
Blaze kept thinking about that the whole time. However, he chose to ignore it in favor of focusing on the loss of his daughter. He was busy driving while constantly looking around on the side of the road.
On the other hand, Lillianne Guinn had been acting strangely since earlier. He kept sniffing Evelyn's watch, then did it to empty air. Occasionally, she will order the boss to change direction.
"You better take me to Evelyn. I really won't stay still if this is just part of your stupid game," Blaze kept repeating that since then.
In the next minute, they arrived near the beach. Blaze protested and warned him again because he felt that it was getting weird. It seemed impossible that his daughter was there.
"Stop here."
Blaze braked suddenly when he heard that. He glanced at a garden connected to the entrance to the beach.
"They are here," said Lillianne while glancing at him.
"What? No way!"
Despite that, Blaze immediately entered the parking lot. He then jumped out of the car and hurried away. Lillianne followed him from behind.
'Is Eve really here?'
Blaze still wasn't sure, but he wanted to check it himself. He was quite desperate to find his beloved daughter.
Finally, he caught the figure of the princess he was worried about. A few meters away, the girl was seen playing with a strange man on the beach. Blaze could even hear her cheerful laughter from here, as he was worried to death.
He didn't wait long and ran towards them.
