Meet Me After Work

Blaze was finishing his lunch when he heard a knock on the door. Soon it opened, revealing the figure of his secretary.
"Have you forgotten that you are still my secretary? How dare you carelessly come in here," he said displeased.
"I am worried about you. I know that you won't give me a chance to talk unless it's now." Lillianne continued to step further in.
Blaze didn't say anything else after that. He began to know more about Lillianne's true nature which couldn't hear a 'no' in response. He was too tired to make a fuss anyway. He also wanted to know more about this woman and her story.
"How is Evelyn?" she asked then.
"Physically, she is fine, but I can't say the same for the other aspect. She is angry with me for what happened. She accused me of making a big mistake, saying that the jerk wasn't a bad person. She didn't even know what she was saying."
It was nice to have someone to share his burden with. Even though Blaze still really restrained himself from oversharing since he still didn't really trust this woman. However, he couldn't afford to ignore the one advantage he had of having her around when no one else existed.
"Should I help? I am her homeroom teacher. Even though we are not that close, but...s he might be more lenient towards me in compare."
Blaze looked hesitant before replying, "To be honest, she did ask for you this morning. She wanted me to take you to her, but--"
"I will go. She might talk to me," said the female werewolf. "Let me come with you after work,"
"Only if you promise not to say any nonsense to her," he warned her.
"I won't. I have my own rules, Leander, that I will not carelessly drag unrelated - or even innocent - people into my mission."
"But why did you approach her disguised as her homeroom teacher? Anyway, will you stop calling me by that name? It's annoying."
"I approached her to find out more about you so I could attract you. I didn't hurt her anyway. In fact, you wouldn't have been able to safe her if it weren't for my help. Don't forget that."
It was a painful fact that cannot be denied.
"Then... what about you? Are you okay?"
That was the next line from Lillianne that he didn't expect. The way she stared at him didn't make it any better.
Blaze remembered the first dream he had last night. It had Liliianne in there. He couldn't forget how devastated she was when Leander died. Her scream was still ringing in his ears. He hadn't even started with the moment when she was then r*ped by the demon.
'No. Control yourself, Blaze. You still have to hide it.'
"Why? Just because I've seen a hidden side of you, you think I've believed your other stories as well? You better not get your hopes up, because it probably won't happen," he answered shortly after.
"So, it didn't work? But, you tried it, did you? I mean, you just have to close your eyes and think about it, so--"
"I tried," Blaze interrupted her again, acting as normal as possible. "But, nothing strange happened at all. Maybe I am not the person you are looking for."
"No. It's definitely you. It has to be you. I know that. I recognize you. It's just that maybe it's not the time yet," Lillianne looked a little emotional when she said it. That briefly reminded Blaze again of his dream. "I suggest that you keep trying. If it feels like you are failing, you have to concentrate even more, keep trying again and again. At that time, maybe there will be a moment when it succeeds. Because we have to hurry. We don't have much time."
Blaze frowned when he heard that. "Why is that?"
"Because Zephyr is--"
Lillianne didn't finish her words when the alarm on Blaze's desk rang, indicating the break time had passed. They also realized that it sounded busy again outside since the employees had returned to their desks.
"Let's continue later. Go back to your table," Blaze ordered while tidying up the remains of his lunch.
"Y-Yes, sir. Then excuse me," said Lillianne, who also behaved professionally again. The woman hurried to leave the place. Little did she know, Blaze watched her back until she left the room.
"Did she just say the name Zephyr? That's the same b*stard I saw last night. Don't tell me that this is the proof of the truth that I want..." Blaze muttered that but quickly shook his head. "No. It's too quick to jump to conclusions. It could still be a part of her manipulations. I have to stay alert."

Leander: We met at bus stop number 342. I refuse to pick you up around the office. I don't want to create an unnecessary scandal between us.
Lillianne can't help but always chuckle every time she reads the latest chat from Blaze. He seemed cute in her eyes for that.
"I actually wanted to tease him and block his car in the parking lot, but I decided not to do that at this time. He was still in a bad mood. I had to behave well for my benefit."
She then looked up at the cars passing by in front of the said bus stop, hoping that Blaze's would come soon. She already missed him even though it had been less than an hour since she saw him.
"Come quickly before someone else steals me, my alpha king..."
At that moment, something unexpected happened. Someone suddenly held out a bouquet in front of her face. Instantly, she got the attention of the people around her.
"W-what is this?" Lillianne frowned when she found Theodoros appeared beside her out of nowhere.
"E-Eung... I-I am sorry, Your Majesty. B-But... I am just following orders." Theodoros nervously glanced out of the corner of his eye. Elara hid behind a pole while waving from a distance. "Please cooperate, Your Majesty, Mr.Blaze on his way here."
"W-What?"
She smelled Leander's distinctive scent at that moment. She then caught the car in question, but it drove past her. It seemed like the man missed her on purpose.
"He definitely will be very annoyed." Lillianne chuckled while shaking her head at the mastermind. She was giggling from a distance.
