Is This Sympathy?
For various reasons, Blaze Davies indicated that Theo Greg would talk to him about Lillianne Guinn. He had explained before that he seemed to see himself from his assistant lately. The man suddenly became all shy around the woman and he could relate to it.
However, he never expected him to be so bold as to ask for his opinion on whether he should confess to her. It was not the professional Theo Greg he knew. How could he be that brave to ask his boss something like this?
"I-I am sorry if I was presumptuous, sir..." Theo Greg realized that the COE's facial expression had darkened. "Ah, what did I do? I shouldn't have done something like this. I should have known better."
Blaze Davies chose not to say anything. He just listened to him.
"But, you know, sir. I am just so confused. I am not usually like this. I don't want to get into any scandals with my co-workers. I just want to work. But, for some reason, I can't act normal around her. I even never stop thinking about her."
‘I know, right?’
Blaze Davies sensed the same way as his assistant again. It was the same as he felt. Isn't that strange? Maybe there was something unusual about this woman that made her capable of doing all this. It made him remember his suspicion that she might have hypnotic abilities or something.
'Ah, not that thought again. What the hell? I am not someone who believes in things like that, though.'
"I am sorry, sir. Please forget what I said. I wasn't thinking properly," said the assistant again, awkwardly.
"Let's not talk about that here. Do you think I am your friend?" Blaze finally couldn't hold it in anymore. "I don't care about useless thing like, but I have to warn you to behave wisely. This is a place to work, not a place to date. So, don't you dare to do anything that will interfere with your profesinalism here." He grumbled longer and longer. He couldn't help it because of the jealousy he felt.
"I-I know, sir. I really shouldn't have done that. Please forgive my vacuity, sir. I won't do that again," said the assistant with his face lowered in shame.

"That's right. I knew he would react like that. He wouldn't be much different from King Leander when it comes with his beloved mate. He is always so possessive and jealous."
That was Elara's reaction when she heard Theodoros' story about his conversation with Blaze Davies at lunchtime. Lillianne was also there and listened to him.
"That means you just need to try a little more, my friend. You are not that far off with your target. Especially since you are also getting to know more about his daughter," she said, elbowing her friend.
"But I hope you won't make me do that again, Young Lady." Theodoros was finally going to speak, even though he was a little afraid of voicing his mind to the women with a much higher caste than him. "I mean, that wasn't my character at all. It felt so awkward. I wasn't even sure I could do it at first."
"You did good, anyway." Elara didn't feel guilty at all, though. "I just feel like we can't just wait and watch until His Majesty realizes his feelings. We don't have that much of time. So, we have to push him to move faster no matter what. Right, Lillianne?"
Lillianne was a little surprised when her friend elbowed her again. That woke her up from a thought that had been bothering her just now.
"Y-Yeah..." She stuttered a little. “That’s right?”
"What with you? What are you even thinking about at a time like this? Are you okay?" Elara paid more attention to her. Theodoros also did the same thing. "Argh, this is way you should stop doing self-replication to get close to his daughter. It's too draining on your energy."
"I also think the same, Your Majesty. Your face doesn't look too good lately," said the vagabond werewolf.
"No. I am fine. I won't be doing it for long anyway." Lillianne shrugged her shoulders. "Talk about it, yesterday I spoke with the nanny who has looked after Evelyn Davies since she was baby. I heard several stories about their family."
"What is that? Don't tell me you even asked about his late wife's affair," asked Elara curiously.
"Aayy, of course that's not something that should be asked. To be honest, I tried to provoke her a little about that, but there wasn't much I could get. It's just like people say that there was nothing wrong with their marriage back then. Rheo Harrison also nothing seemed strange. She was a good wife to him and all.
"So, it's either she was too good at hiding her true colors or King Leander might know but pretended not to realize it for his own reasons. But, how is that possible? It's not like the character of the King Leander I knew. I also couldn't believe that he didn't realize it with his sharp instincts? Even though his wolf self hasn't awakened yet, it still seems impossible he didn't notice it."
"Well, I don't know about that either. But, I seem to have a way to start getting into his life through his daughter. That way... I might be able to find out more about his past and make him stop denying his feelings for me."
The two werewolves in front of her looked even more curious. They leaned more towards her to listen to her since they were currently in a restaurant that was filled with many people.
"What is it, Anne? Tell me?" Elara asked impatiently.

Meanwhile, Lillianne's duplicate was still at Evelyn Davies' school. It was also break time there. Instead of following the invitation to eat together from other teachers, she wandered around the backyard to watch Evelyn.
'Looks like this is my last day here. I've got the information I need. On the other hand, continuing to do this is so exhausting for me. I have to save my energy because there is still a lot ahead of me.'
Again, things like that were not difficult for her.
Just like she could suddenly appear in this place, she could disappear as she pleased. She can erase the memory of her from his people who saw her here as if she never existed. That way, Evelyn Davies won't remember her even if she comes back into her life as an assistant - or even lover - of her father.
'Today is the last day I accompany you, kiddo. You better take care of yourself and prepare to welcome me as your potential stepmother.'
However, why was there a lump in her chest when she thought about that? When she looked at Evelyn who was alone on a park bench like this she felt a little bad. Was he sympathetic to her? That wasn't like her, though.
'But how long does she want to live like that? Her friends didn't even bully him. They try to approach her, but she creates a fence against them. She even limits her own father who sometimes wants to make beautiful memories with her. What was such a little child thinking to do that?'
Lillianne tried to dismiss the thought even though it felt increasingly troubling her. She couldn't get too deep into this. The child was no one, she was even the daughter of her rival in getting her mate back. She also hindered the process for her to woo Leander again.
No one knows what will happen in the future. He might have to get rid of her so as not to interfere with Leander's return to his throne. So, she shouldn't pity her like this.
'I'd better go now.'
She intended to leave just like that, but her eyes suddenly caught something odd. She saw a man standing behind the door and secretly watching Evelyn. He even panicked when he met Lillianne's eyes, then immediately ran away from there.
'Did I see wrong?'
