Father of My Children
Dragana POV
It was early in the morning and for some reason I could not sleep. I knew I had my training with Art soon, but I decided to get up and enjoy the morning sunrise first. Cybela did not leave my side, she had acted overprotective since the murder attempt. I did not blame her, however, found it comical that somebody her size moved around following me like a little dog. The sunrise over the ocean was simply spectacular. I noticed some servants in the garden tidying the place up, as I made my way to the training polygon. Solomon designed it himself. A hexagonal shaped space was further out from the main house, however, close enough for us to have a full view of it. Designed by magic, it stripped you of the shifting abilities. If I walked in in my human form, I could not shift to my wolf or my Lycan, and if I walked into it like my wolf of a Lycan, I could not shift back, if one was in the confines of it. It was designed to amplify my abilities from each of my perspectives. It also changed the weather. At times we were training in drenching rain, at times in snow. Solomon left nothing to chance.
However, I was still struggling with my relationship and bond with Aisha. I somehow felt betrayed by her not telling me who she was. Images of what she was showing me in my dreams were haunting me, especially the memory of two little cubs. Are those my children??? And who was the silver wolf??? I now knew that it could not be Roman, as he was getting married, even though I vaguely recalled that his wolf was silver too. “You are being too hard on Aisha”, I heard the voice of Vasilla. I knew she was right, but I could not help it. “You have no issues with me, and yet, you shun her, even though she has been with you all your life, guided you in your visions and dreams!” “You did not lie to me Vasilla”, I said, fully knowing I should not be upset yet I was. “She did not lie to you either"Vasila replied. "And she had to shift from time to time so she would not disappear completely. It is not her fault, and neither is yours. You need to fully accept her so that we can be strong!”, Vasilla continued. “But she did not tell me, why has she not told me???”
“She could not tell you! Besides, why didn’t you ask? And why didn’t you educate yourself on these dreams and visions? You had access to a great library at the pack. Also, you had to know something was off, you woke up with mud and soil on you, the smell of forest on your body??? That did not seem strange to you??? If anyone should be upset, it should be Aisha. You wanted to reject her!!”, she said sternly.
I could not argue with her logic, but somehow, I was still not ready. “I am here whenever you are ready Dragana, I know it is a lot. And yes, I was showing you the visions of the future. White wolves have special abilities, and ours is the gift of foresight”, Aisha now clarified in a small voice. I knew she was hurt by my rejection, yet she was so understanding towards me. A pang of guilt hit me. “Does that mean… the cubs??? They are ours???” I said hopefully. I always loved children, even when I thought that my life needed to be that of celibacy. Sometimes, I dreamed of having children and I would always dream of having two, a boy and a girl, just like Aisha showed me. Caught in my thoughts, I did not see Beta Art coming toward me, but his scent hit me and brought me back to reality. He was wearing shorts and a sleeveless shirt, his muscles on display. Art was an extremely handsome man, powerful in an unassuming way, confident and strong.
“Ready Princess? Now, I am your friend, but not taking it easy on you, as I did yesterday. Time to up your game!” he said, flashing me a radiant smile. Even though he was supposed to help train my wolf form, I still focused only on the training in human form with him. My connection with Aisha was still not complete and I did not know how to have a relationship with my wolf. “We should shift” he said, starting to take his clothes off. Even though I quickly averted my gaze, I caught a glimpse of his v-line, his 6 packs and my eyes went south. WHOA! Art’s mate will be one lucky girl!
“Like what you see????” he said teasingly, while my checks blushed crimson. My mouth was open in surprise and I felt totally embarrassed that he caught me. “I do not think I can shift. I am still negotiating things with Aisha”, I said, trying to maintain eye contact and ignore his God-like body and regain some of my composure. “You have to be strong in all forms, you need to shift!”, he said, reprimanding me. “Maybe in a few days. Maybe you can shift, and we will train on wolf/human interactions???” I suggested, trying to somehow change the subject. “Not a bad idea. You need to learn how to fight wolves in human form too”, he agreed. Shortly thereafter, he shifted into a huge silver wolf. I stood frozen for a second, as flashbacks of my visions and dreams came to me. A vision of Aisha with her mate. A silver wolf. Was Beta Art my mate? Father of my children?????
