The lunch with the two investors went well. I just don't know if they closed the deal they've been talking about.

Even though I am also the CFO in Jem's company, I always find myself bored on meetings like these. Not because I don't like business talk but I just don't like how these people are talking. They should have at least laugh or something.

But oh yes! It's Emerson anyway. He always take business meetings seriously.

Even not business meetings, perhaps!

"Hey!" Celine suddenly exclaimed.

The memories of yesterday's lunch brushed off because of my ever loving friend. "What?"

"You're really going?" She asked.

"Going? Where?" I asked innocently.

"Don't you dare ask me as if you don't know what I've been talking about" She said as she rolls her eyes.

I sigh. "Yes." I replied.

She looks at me deeply as if she's looking deep in to my soul. "I called the man that would be my date for tomorrow last night and he's still up for it." I added
Celine sighs. "Whatever you want Love. Just please be careful." She said as she drinks her coffee.

"I'll be fine. Besides, you'll also be there, right?" I said and she nods at me, gathered her things and stood up.

"See you on the wedding then." She said and hugs me tightly. "We'll be at your back." She added. "Don't fall okay?" She added again.

I smiled. This is why I love them so much. I think I might cry.

When she released me from the hug, she looks at me and smiles. "We can do this." She said.

It is so dear that they're so sweet to me. They treat my problem like it’s theirs.

Then by that, she closes the door.



After a minute, someone knocks at my door.

Ugh! Celine! She might forget something. I looked around while I'm walking to the door.

I didn't look at the peephole because I know it's just her.

"What did you for----" I didn't finish the sentence because it’s not Celine.

"Hello Love." The man said. He's wearing a pair of jeans and a shirt.
I close the door but then he stopped it.

"Wait." He said.

"What do you want? I mean, what are you even doing here?" I said.

"Oh? No hello Michael?" He said. He is so annoying but I felt chills because this man? This is the man who tried to rape me. You'll be okay. I said to myself.

He laughs. This is so dangerous.

Since the door wasn't fully open, I reached for the glass on the table beside me without him noticing it.

"I just came here to say something." He said this time.

"Say it now, you have 10 seconds." I replied.

"As you can see we're neighbors and I didn't know that. So I went here to say I'm sorry for what happened in the past." He said. I was so shocked because of that. He looks sincere.

He's not. Don't be a fool, Love.

"It’s true. You don't need to be afraid of me. I already have a wife and a baby. I just want to have a quiet life. "He said.

I was taken a back because of that. "That's fine." I replied.

"Thank you. And by the way, please tell your boyfriend that I won't do anything wrong." He added and leaves.

I closed the door. Wait? Did he say boyfriend? I opened the door again to ask him about it. But he's already inside of his home I think.
Boyfriend? I don't even have someone. How do I have a boyfriend?

Who came to see him? I need to find out about it.

I texted Tony, Celine and Venus about it and they all respond the same thing. Why you didn't tell me you have a boyfriend? Oh yes. They say it all.
Because of it I also replied I don't have one and that's what I've been thinking. Who visited him? To all of them.

Emerson pov

"Jayson"

"Yes Mr. Triumph?"

"Is the car ready for tomorrow?" I asked while I am signing papers after papers.

"Yes sir.” Then I nodded and he left to go home I guess.

Love called me last night to remind me for tomorrow's wedding.
I don't know what will happen tomorrow but I'll make it sure that she won't regret making me as her escort for her cousin's and ex boyfriend's wedding day.

I didn't even know her father. All I know is he's Drew Guildings and he's the owner of Love clothing line. His clothing line is not well known but I have seen the clothes they've been selling. The designs are really original and I bought some of it so I could pack it and wear it if we would have to stay in their place after the wedding.

I remembered the boutique. It looks elegant from the outside and it’s interior is more beautiful inside. The store has Love's faces and I can't keep my eyes away from it.

I tried to buy one of the pictures posted but the manager didn't agree with it. The manager just smiled at me and said. "It's not really on sale."

The night was so long for me because I thought of the man who visited Michael. I really need to find out who it was.

Is he the same person who delivered me letters and gifts? Then I remembered Nick.

"Tomorrow I'll talk to him." I said to myself.
