CHAPTER 47

I changed my own gown in to a pair of white pants and peach blouse. I just want it to be simple so I put on a doll shoes.



We walk in to the hall way and down to the lobby.

"Why didn't you girls bring your swimwear? Aren't you gonna swim?" Mom asked while we're in the elevator.
The girls looked at me as if asking me to answer.

"Why are you looking at me like that?” I asked them.

Then they laugh. "If you'll ask me, I'll just swim tomorrow morning and have a sun bathing." They all nodded.

"That's good. The water is cold out there during this time, for sure." Venus replied.

"Oh!" Tony exclaimed as he looks at one direction. He seemed a little shock. Please don't let it be Megan and Sebastian. That would really ruin this night.

"You guys should have invited me or something." The man said.

When I turned to the man speaking, he smiled the smile which is more like a smirk.

"Jem" I said.
He rolls his eyes. "Yes, the very handsome boss of yours." He said as he walks towards Emerson, this time I rolled my eyes on him and he just gave me a chuckle. He smacks Emerson's shoulder. "So this is why you're on a vacation leave?" He added.

"Guilty." Emerson said as he raises his both hands as if on surrender.
"Why you sounded like Emerson's never had a vacation leave?" Celine asks Jem.


Jem looked at her as if he doesn't know how to answer her. Their eye contact is like on fire. I mean they have an eye for each other. They're just afraid of showing it so I faked a cough to lighten up the mood. They immediately looked away.

"Why don't you ask him yourself?" Jem stated as he arranged himself.
I don't know what is happening between this two but they both looked like they have a connection. I just don't know what.

"So?" Celine said, looking at Emerson.

"Why are you guys interrogating me?" He asks. "But yes." He added.

Then I snap at him, looking shock. "You mean?" I started. "It’s your first vacation leave?" I asked.

"Yes." Emerson simply replied.

"He never had a vacation leave, sick leave or any other absences." Jem stated.
He is so workaholic.

"Well... " Dad said. " He is really a hardworking man." He continued.

"C'mon children, let's have our dinner." Mom said. "But, Love?" Mom called me.

"Yes Mom?"

"Why you don't introduce your parents to your new friend?" Mom said. Oh shoot! I almost forgot.

"I'm sorry. I got carried away." I said. My mother just smiled at me.

"Anyway, Mom, Dad...this is Jem, my boss." I introduce.

"Nice to meet you Mrs. Guildings." Said Jem as he tried to have a handshake with mom but then being my mother, she pulled him and hug him instead.

"You guys stop handshaking me." Mom said and Jem just nodded.

"Mr. Guildings." He said at my dad who took his handshake.

My daddy is also smiling. "Just call us Mom and Dad like everyone else." He said as he waves at my friends and Emerson.

"Yes sir.. I mean dad?" Jem said hastily.
This got to be one of the best vacations ever.

When we got out in the elevator, we were greeted by one of the receptionists

"Good evening Sir, Madame!" The man greeted us. "The table for your dinner is already arranged." He added. "This way please." He continued.

Did Emerson arrange it?
I looked at Emerson but he just shook his head as if answering my thoughts.

"Oh? You must be mistaken, we didn't arrange any dinner." I said to the man.
But he smiled

"May I ask who’s Ms. Guildings and Mr. Triumph are?" The man asks. I was taken aback because he knows our names.

"We are." I replied as I waved Emerson and me.

"Then the tables for you all are ready. Mr. Jane arranged it for you." He replied.

..

"Mr. Jane?" I said unsure. The receptionist nodded and when I looked at Emerson he's also nodding.

"Do you know any Mr. Jane?" I ask him.

"Yes. He's Jayson." He simply replied.

"Oh.."

"This way, maam, sir." The man said as he directs us to where the dinner will be.

We followed the man and he guided us outside the hotel. We are at the sea front and there it is a long table with nine gold chairs.

The table is filled with foods and decorated with flowers. The sand is covered with brown carpet. The tent has it’s own chandelier that really compliments the table.

The wind blows to us and it’s refreshing.

The arrangement really is amazing.

"This is amazing." Venus said.

"Yeah" Celine and Tony say at the same time.

My mom and dad are also in awe, they're smiling

"We have to thank Jayson for this." I said.

"I'm sure I will. I might have to give him a bonus." Emerson replied.

"I should give him a gift or something." I said as I look at him.

The dinner was amazing. The foods they prepared and even the performers were really great.

The bad vibes during the wedding is already forgotten like it didn't happen.
