CHAPTER 81
CHAPTER 81
"I'm going to make you pay for it." I said, looking at her eyes.
She touched her heart with her two hands. "Oh, I'm so scared." She said in a sarcastic tone.
I move closer to her and she put her bag between us. I sharpen my look at her as if I'm going to kill her but she laughs. I move closer again and raised her hands and put it in a cross position.
"I'm not a ghost for me to be afraid of you." I said, smirking. Again moving closer to her but the next thing happened is that her side of the door opened and I tried to catch her before she fell but I didn't succeeded. Her face looked as shocked as I try to catch her.
I thought she fell on the street while Jayson is driving. I was wrong...
When I looked at where we are, we're already in the hotel's entrance where we are going to have dinner.
I looked at the place where I thought Love fell and there she is, standing and laughing. She'll be the death of me. I thought to myself as I pick up her bag and went outside the car in a very businessman way.
"Good evening Mr. Triumph." The bell boy said. He looked at my hands where I am holding the bag. He might have sensed that I noticed him looked down; he coughed and looked at me again with a different emotion. I ignored him and went to Love's spot. She stepped back, smiling
"Don't run." I warned her as I walk towards her direction.
"What if I want to run?" Love challenges me.
"You won't be running that fast because of that heels and won't be able to get a cab because your bag is in my hands." I said to her, showing her bag making her think for seconds.
"I'll still take cab and pay it when I'm at home." She replied, taking a step back.
"Don't forget that it’s my hotel and all of them are my employees. All I have to shout is that you're a culprit and all of them will catch you."I said, looking around at my employees who are actually watching us.
"That's unfair." She said, stepping back.
"I didn't say that I'll play fair." I said to her before she stopped stepping back and walk towards and snatch her bag from my hands.
"Fine. Let's grab a dinner." She said before walking pass to me but before she stepped her second foot, I grabbed her waist and kissed her. Again. I'm going to be used to it. It’s not a long kiss, just a peck like what I did inside the car. But I held her waist longer than necessary.
"I thought you're not used to public display of affection?" Love teases.
"I'm starting to like it and in that way, people would see that you're mine." I said before grabbing her waist again and directed her to walk inside the hotel's restaurant. "Because people would be afraid to touch what is mine." I added, earning an eye roll from Love.
"I'm not a property." She said as we walk. "And people wouldn't touch me, that will be violating my human rights and that's gross, you know." She added.
"I didn't say you're a property." I said, looking at her. "And yes, that's so smart of you." I said, before sticking out my tongue to her.
She chuckled. "Did you just stick out your tongue?" She asked, almost shouting and she laughed.
I covered her mouth to avoid her from laughing and my employees saw us, making them grinned and smiled. In an instant, when I looked at them, their eyes moved to somewhere and avoided me gaze. They're really afraid of me.
Except Love
Love pov
When we entered the restaurant, it is very modern like his other hotels. This time it has a black and white theme. The couches are all white while the tables are black.
"This way Mr. Triumph, Ms. Guildings." The waitress waved us to the seat beside the window.
As we get closer to our seats, I got to see the lights more clearly and it’s very gorgeous.
"You have a great view." I said out of the blue.
"Thank you." Emerson said as he pulled out the chair for me.
"Oh! That's the Empire State Building." I exclaimed as I sit on the chair he pulled out.
"Yes. It is." He said. "Have you been there?" He asked.
"Where? The Empire State Building?" I asked and he nodded. "Yes. Once" I said, remembering the day I went there for a seminar during my Master's. "I went there once during on one of the seminars I had when I was studying my Master's degree." I said to him as the waitress pours our wines.
"Harvard?" He asked and I nodded. "I think I was in that seminar." He added.
"You were?" I asked, trying to remember that time.
"Mr. Bill Gates was there when I also went." Emerson asked.
"Yes. Yes. Yes. He was the guest speaker." I replied. "You were there? I think I didn't notice you." I added.
"Yes, I was there. If you didn't saw me, that’s because I didn't had to speak. I was just sitting in the front." Emerson replied to me as the waitress started to bring us the food that Emerson ordered. He didn't let me ordered because he said he wanted me to taste the Chef's special for tonight.
"I was one of the sponsors during that seminar." Emerson stated as we gave our thanks to the waitress.
"You were?” I asked, shocked. "That's why my classmates were all very excited to meet the benefactor after the seminar." I added.
"You didn't attend?" He asked.
"Yes, obviously. Since I didn't know you were there." I said.
We continued to converse with each other for the next hours and so. We didn't even notice about the time. The waitresses also continued to pour our glasses when empty. They are very attentive to us.
When my glass is now half empty, I looked at my phone and saw that it’s already 11PM. "Oh! I think we need to go." I said, exclaiming. Emerson did the same and was shocked as I am.
"The time flew so fast." He said.
"Yes, it is. I didn't even notice it’s already 11PM." I said to him.
"Shall we go?" He said and I nodded before he escorted me out of my chair.
As we go out of the hotel. "Wait. We didn't pay our bill." I said, looking up at the restaurant where we were.
"That's fine. They're going to charge it to me." Emerson. "I owned it, in the first place." He added.
