CHAPTER 42

After exchanging their oh so sweet vows and the you may now kiss the bride part, we we're guided by their organizers in their reception area inside the hotel.

When we got there, it was surrounded by round tables and a long table
intended for their sponsors. The stage has a sofa with their names as their background. There is a dancing light at the side. The arrangement is very well arranged. I mean it’s not perfect but it’s still beautiful.

"Oh look! Our names are here." Venus said as she sat down on the chair intended just for us.
We chuckled and sat on our seats.

"Love?" Venus called.

"Yes?"

"Are you okay?" She asked.

"Uhm.. Yeah, I'm more than okay." I replied. "Anyway, I should be the one asking how you are feeling?" I asked. "How's the chemo?"

"Well.. You know that I'm already getting better and the reason why I didn't say that I'm getting better is that so I could see you all's reaction when I raise this." She said as she raised her left hand. A sparkling ring faced us.

We didn't say a word we got shocked.

"Well, I think that statement glued their mouths." JC said to Emerson and Emerson grinned.

"Can you say it more clearly?" I asked feeling like a moron.

"I'm engaged." Venus stated and then we cannot contain ourselves and yelled.

Now everybody is looking at us. Jc and Emerson are apologizing for creating such a commotion.

"They’re here." JC stated, the music started to change as Megan and Sebastian walks on the carpet for the first time as husband and wife.

"Who cares?" Tony said when we're still hugging each other.
The people started to stand up to watch as the couple walks and we separated from our hugs.

When I looked as to where my parents are, they are smiling. I think they mouthed you looked happy. I just nodded and smiled.

"Let's celebrate your engagement after this wedding." Tony said as we take our seats.

The wedding program flows on. The slicing of cakes and others to giving messages from parents happens when something I didn't expected happens.

"Now let us hear a message from.... Love Guildings." The host said.
What the hell? I thought.

She didn't say a word to me so I will come unprepared.

You dare to set me up and you think I couldn't stand in front? You're wrong Megan. I will not be in my position if I can't handle any pressure.

I stood up smiling and started to walk in front as people claps. The people on our table didn't speak anything. They just watched my reaction will be and I gave them a very calming smile.

When I passed by Megan and Sebastian, I saw the smirk on Megan's face. I didn't do anything wrong.

The host gave me his microphone and step back.

"I never expected that I will be doing this message thingy for tonight but then again, when you come unprepared, you'll be saying things that will come from your mind and heart. The truth." I paused as I smiled and looked at the two people on the stage.

Megan shifted a bit when she heard the word truth. Again, I smiled.

"For everybody's information....." Pregnant pause. "I am Megan's cousin and Sebastian's friend. They were both close to my heart and I'm happy that they ended up together. Why? Because they both have the same personalities. They're selfish...." I heard people gasp and paused what they're doing and looked at me. " in a way that they want everything to be done perfectly and according to their preferences. " I paused again as they sigh.

"For Sebastian, people make mistakes but it’s just a matter of reflecting on the things you've done wrong and saying you're sorry and that you truly mean it. I also have a favor to ask." I say as I look in to him. He shifted a bit but managed to smile. People are eyeing at us anyways. " Please take good care of Megan and your child for they'll be your only treasure that won't fade. Make them feel like you're worthy of their sacrifices." I say.

"For Megan, other people say that you're a bitch. Sorry for the word but it’s true that they're saying it. Little they did know that you're also a dreamer and kind. You're a protector because I remembered when you stood up for me when I was bullied in school. You don't like being ignored and because of it, you'll do everything to make your dreams and goals come true. This is just the advice I could give you. Be a good example for your soon to be child for he or she might follow your footsteps and the things that you've done wrong might come back to you if you won't be a
good mama." I ended. The people applauded. Little they didn't know, I put a deeper meaning on it.

I gave back the microphone and walk towards the newlyweds. I offered my hand to Sebastian for shake hands and he accepted it. Then I hug Megan and whispered "You think I'll create a drama? That's a no no. Karma's a bitch, remember?" And by that I walk back to our table, drank the wine in the glass and sigh.

People around our table are eyeing me. They're waiting if I'll crack or burst in to tears or what.

"You sounded like you weren't cheated or betrayed by them." Venus said in a thin air and the others nodded their heads except for Emerson who's smiling.

"Yes, I was cheated and yes I was betrayed by those people but I just chose to ignore them so people wouldn't pity me. " I said, smiling. "And besides. Why would I make a scene? Let my kindness kill them." I added, shrugging.
Tony stood up and walk toward my way. "Oh my gosh! Are you sick? Are you really our Love?" Tony said as he touches my forehead as if I am sick.

The others are laughing.


Emerson pov

She is indeed a strong woman.

Coming in the wedding of her ex boyfriend and cousin is a lot to dealt with. And the most amazing about her is that even if she was betrayed, when the emcee called her name, she stood up, smiled and gave messages. She even talked about their good qualities.

I'm starting to admire her more and more each day when I'm with her.

"Why you're so quiet?" Love asked.
I shrug. "Nothing. It’s just that I wanted to stare at you I can't even talk. " I replied teasing her. Well I mean it’s true tho. I love watching her.
She stuck out her tongue on me.

"Stuck that tongue out again and I might have to bite it." I whispered.
Then as expected her face turns red. "See? I was just saying it and yet you're already blushing. " I teased even more.

"I promise. After the program, I will kill you and throw you in the ocean." Love replied silently.

"Can you guys talk louder, so we can hear it?" Tony said while smiling but Celine slaps his shoulder.

"Don't ask. They're just talking about what will they do after this boring wedding." Celine asked.

"What boring wedding are you talking about?" A woman whispered yelled. Then when I looked up. I closed my eyes. She'll make a scene. I'm sure of it.
