CHAPTER 19

"It's freaking huge. How are we supposed to beat that ugly monster?" asked Mila.

"Use any tactics you have... l want to see how you fight a creature as powerful as that. If you lose, then you leave me with no other choice but to convince my father to withdraw his decision to let you guard the entrance of our kingdom. Trust me, I am not fond of this method either," explained Prince Arthur.

The Amazonians went down to their horses, and Prince Arthur stepped aside to give way to them.

"What are we going to do now, Milan?" asked Aravis.

Mila answered Aravis while still looking at the monster before them. "Let us use our plan A, all the long-range Amazonians, hide in the trees and shoot that huge bird. Wait for my signal before you do that. While the rest of the short-range Amazonians stay where you are, I need to analyze what kind of power this creature has, we can't afford to lose this important battle!"

Amidala and Aravis hide in the forest. The dark Phoenix flew in the air and fired flames to attack the Amazonians. But Astoria spun her spiked wrecking ball to protect the rest of the Amazonians, making Prince Arthur amazed and stunned.

"Fantastic, her weapon must be fire resistance," said Prince Arthur.

Mila gave another instruction to her Amazonians. "Everyone, surround the enemy to confuse it. Remember that it flies and emits fire, try not to dodge its attacks. And the moment you are hit, immediately come to Elora so she can heal your wound."

The dark Phoenix once again spewed blue flames from above. Arya spun her scythe to absorb the blue fire.

"So that creature can blast different types of fire. There is only one way we can fight against it. However, I need all of your cooperation Amazonians, our dedication to defend our kingdom is like a fire that cannot be tamed!" shouts Mila.

"What is your plan, master?" asked Harpie.

"This is a frozen cave stream and the reason why that creature isn't going down is because it can't withstand the coldness of this place. Short range fighters should attack from behind the dark Phoenix. We will lure it to the nearby river and we will drown it there!" answered Mila.

Prince Arthur contradicts Mila's idea. "No, that creature can evaporate the water. It can't be drown-"

Mila sighed and interrupted Prince Arthur. "Not unless, we cut its wings!"

"No weapon can do such a thing, unless you've got something up your sleeves, Mila," replied Prince Arthur.

Mila stared at the prince. "Leave it to us, Prince Arthur. We have already faced different creatures from the sea and land, but perhaps this creature you summoned is the most difficult to defeat. Despite that, it still has its weaknesses, I realized!"

Mila returned her gaze to the dark Phoenix. "Amidala and Aravis, stop shooting... I'm going to take a chance and slash dark Phoenix wings with Brienne and Harpie. While the rest of you, hit it the moment it fell to the ground until it could barely move, then we will drag it to the river and drown it there!"

Without a second thought, Mila, Brienne, and Harpie leaped to the back of the Dark Phoenix. The dark Phoenix fired black flames, and Prince Arthur became alarmed and shouted. "No, it's too risky... black flame is the strongest flame of that creature, you will surely die once it hits you!"

"I will take care of that," said Arya as she leaped and spun her scythe that absorbed the black flame. However, she was badly injured and fell. Luckily, Catelyn managed to catch her before she could hit the ground.

Mila, Brienne, and Harpie attacked and cut through the dark Phoenix's wings, causing it to fall to the ground. It fired fire, but because of the low temperature, its attack became relatively weak. The Amazonians used their weapons to attack it and defeat it. They then dragged Dark Phoenix to a nearby river and drowned. They returned to Prince Arthur, who clapped his hands in wonder.

"Now, I am so stunned and flabbergasted by your incredible teamwork and strategy. My father knows how to pick strong warriors, and I admit, I miscalculated your strength."

"What is next, Prince Arthur?" Mila asked.

"We will waste no more time and proceed to our defense strategy. I mean... I'd like you to know that I have my own group of warriors, and I call them the Zodiac Warriors. We've been practicing these last few days, and supposedly, they are in charge of guarding our borders." Prince Arthur suddenly became sad. "However, I summoned that creature during their final battle, but they were not able to defeat it. Unfortunately, my father was displeased with the result and angrily scolded them. I strongly opposed his decision and begged him to change his mind... I did everything in my power, yet he stuck with his plan and summoned you instead. Now my zodiac warriors will become reserved warriors just in case you struggle to fight the werewolves."

"Don't worry, Prince Arthur; we, the Amazonians, are enough to beat the werewolf tribe. To be honest with you, we also have a personal grudge to King Abaddon as we were one of his captives and we know what his weaknesses are!" said Mila.

"Then everything is already settled. We all share one goal for the upcoming 40th anniversary of our Kingdom, to make it peaceful and happy. Please do not put me down, I, and the rest of the Alabama warriors, are counting on you all!" said the Prince.

"There is no need to worry about that, Prince Arthur. Do you have any more concerns with us?" asked Mila.

"Yes, and I know that you are already aware of this news, but King Abaddon succeeded in taking over the Kingdom of King Solomon. He might have used the magicians to attack us as well... not to mention the bandit treasure hunters he enslaved. So be prepared to deal with three enemies on the border," the Prince replied.

"We highly appreciate that vital information you leaked to us, Prince Arthur... if you excuse us, we would like to head to our designated areas as per the advice of your father," said Mila.

"I look forward to seeing you again someday, and please stay alive and good luck on your mission, Amazonians!"

Mila and the rest of the Amazonians bowed their heads and turned around to leave with their horses.
