CHAPTER 29
King Abaddon took the Tizona sword in the hands of Prince Arthur. "This sword has been the scariest thing that happened in my life. Therefore I need to get rid of this as early as possible."
King Malik and King Baron tried to land an attack at King Abaddon. However, he vanished along with Elizer.
Prince Arthur rose to his feet while his father almost cried and went down on his knees. He was still shocked with what just happened. "I can't believe it. I let my guard down? I am the most powerful in this nation, yet I could not even defend myself."
King Baron went down and rubbed the back of King Bartholomeo. "This is not your fault, I now realized that King Abaddon is way stronger than any of us. What are you going to do now?"
King Malik raised his voice in anger. "That was actually the first time someone lay a hand on me. How annoying!"
King Baron looked King Malik in the eye. "You're right, I couldn't even imagine what was happening because everything happened so quickly."
King Bartholomeo stood up on his feet. "I need to report him to the Celestial Spirit King, that's the only way I know to avoid being colonized. I would also like to report that he stole the Tizona sword from my son."
"You have nothing to worry about, father," said Prince Arthur as he quickly approached his father. "That sword he took was a fake one."
King Bartholomeo's eyes widened in shock. "What? But that looks like the real one!"
"The Tizona sword is too heavy to carry so I decided to leave it on my room."
"Then where did you get that fake Tizona sword?"
"I asked a warrior servant to buy me a sword that has the same style as the Tizona sword. Luckily, a bladesmiths was able to replicate the style of the real one and made it lighter to carry."
"Pretty convenient, Prince Arthur. I am so relieved that you were able to do such a trick. Though, I strongly suggest you carry the real ones starting today onward," advised King Malik. "You need to train yourself carrying that important sword so when you happen to encounter that stupid werewolf, you can slay him into pieces."
"You also need to work on your speed. Your Tizona sword is great if you can match King Abaddon's speed," added King Baron. "At any rate, let us call it a day. King Abaddon did not only choke me, he even absorbed half of my strength!"
"The same goes with me, the moment he choked my neck, I felt weak all of a sudden so I couldn't do any counterattack. I vowed to exact revenge on him the next time we crossed paths."
The Zodiac warriors bowed before Prince Arthur to apologize and Alexander humbly apologized. "Pardon us, Prince Arthur. We did not do something to stop King Abaddon. Our fight almost drained our strength, and charging to a powerful enemy is too risky for us!"
Prince Arthur did not face them and talked while staring at his father. "You have nothing to apologize. The only one to blame was the intruder. Just rest for a while and we will see each other again at the 40th anniversary."
"I wonder what happened to the Amazonians who guarded the borders of Alabama. They would easily spot the presence of any external threats, don't they?" Alexander's sarcastic reply, as if he was questioning the credibility of the Amazonians.
Ammon was the one who answered him. "I will check them later once I get home. I saw them roaming the shore before I got here. If King Abaddon was able to use some sort of trick, Amazonians would probably not sense their presence."
King Bartholomeo interrupted their discussion. "King Abaddon already conquered the Kingdom of King Solomon. So he might be using concealing magic to hide his presence. That is one of the rarest capabilities of King Solomon."
"I see. That might be the reason why we did not feel his presence when we roamed the land of Cannopus." blurted out King Malik, then he realized that he was not supposed to say anything to King Bartholomeo. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to disrupt you King Bartholomeo."
"What did you just say, King Malik?" asked King Bartholomeo. He gave him a confused look. "Don't tell me you went on their land without asking my permission?"
Prince Arthur spoke to confessed to his father. "Pardon me, I did not mean to lie Father. They insist on going them despite my warnings so I had no other option but to permit them. Although none of us were able to perceive the presence of King Abaddon. Now, I know the reason behind."
King Malik agreed and defended Prince Arthur. "Your son is telling the truth! I was the one who insists on going there to see King Solomon who was being taken hostage at his very own kingdom. I hope you don't blame your son for what is happening right now."
As the sun was about to set, the Zodiac warriors parted ways and went back to their respective homes while King Bartholome and his two visitors were having a dinner in his palace. On the other hand, Prince Arthur was still practicing on the frozen cave stream using his original Tizona sword.
He was greatly motivated with what he heard from King Baron who told him that he should improve his speed if he wants to defeat King Abaddon. He summoned different creatures until he got tired and rested for a while. Queen Veronica who was watching his son from above her room decided to go down and bond with him. She carried a huge plate full of meats and fruits while the warrioress servant with her carried water and herbal medicines.
"Arthur, you should never let yourself be hungry," said Queen Veronica, who immediately smiled the moment Prince Arthur saw her approaching him. He was completely shocked because she never did something for him, not until this very moment.
"What's wrong with you, mother? Are you sick or something?" he asked in wonder.
Queen Veronica sighed. "No, you may not know this but I was watching you a while ago and my heart was beating so fast when King Abaddon attacked and trampled your face. The mark of his foot on your face is still there, let me take care of that. I've got some herbal medicines to ease the pain and heal the wounds."
"You can leave the food and medicine at my room. I am not tired yet!" Prince Arthur said, raising his voice at his mother.
"Do you have a minute? I would like to talk to you, Arthur!"
Prince Arthur rolled his eyes at the warrioress servant. "I want some water, please leave at once and put that medicine in my room. I need personal time with my mother."
The warrioress servant followed Prince Arthur. She gave him a glass of water and returned back to the Kingdom. Queen Veronica and Prince Arthur remained at the frozen cave stream alone.
"What is your concern, mother?" asked Prince Arthur who sounded disrespectful and annoyed.
Veronica the Queen grinned. "Prince Arthur, you are trying so hard to follow in your father's footsteps, and I am so proud of you for that."
"Yeah, that is for sure. Aside from me, there is no other heir of our kingdom. I vowed to serve my nation with all my heart and all my soul."
"But you also need to rest, go back to your room and let me heal your wounds there."
"Why are you acting strangely all of a sudden, Mother? This is not like you at all."
"You used to see me wearing expensive jewelry, but after watching you and your father struggle for this country's independence, I have changed my mind. You are the most precious gift I have ever received from your father. I am still your mother. I care for you more than anybody else.
"Yes. Our nation is in serious trouble, I wonder if we can defeat King Abaddon and his kind. Certainly, he will revisit us again during the 40th anniversary of our kingdom and everything depends on the celestial spirit king."
"Don't tell me your father is seeking help from him?"
"There are no more options available, albeit I cannot guarantee that the Celestial Spirit would act right away."
"I believe that you can fight him with your Tizona sword. Son, save our kingdom from that evil creature."
"No, my father and the two kings from the other planets who are way stronger than me weren't even able to withstand the powers of the werewolf king. Unless we help each other, we might be able to destroy him."
"We can overwhelm them with our numbers. As of now, you have to keep your strength until you encounter him again. Go to your room and-"
Prince Arthur irritably scratched his head. "Yeah, I will go later. Please, I hate being watched practicing alone."
"Okay, I will leave now!" said Queen Veronica then she gave the foods of Prince Arthur who ate it in less than a minute and continued practicing again.
