CHAPTER 40

"I... I can't breathe... Please let go of me!"

"If you want your f*cking life to be prolonged, do us a favor and teleport us!" exclaimed Grey.

"But our stamina is still low, it would be too risky for us to use our magic on powerful werewolves like you. We will surely die-"

"I don't care whether you die or not. My mission is far more important than your lives. Do you know what would happen once we returned here empty-handed? King Abaddon will kill us with his own hands."

"O...kay... I cou...ld hardly breath. Please take your filthy hands off of me. I'll try it again!"

Grey let go of him, and Vince started casting magic together with the other magician, creating a massive portal. The werewolves were able to enter the portal without any problem, but the two magicians collapsed due to exhaustion. Instead of showing pity, the two werewolves dragged them to their feet. All the magicians who were taken captive pitied them as they watched how werewolves threw the unconscious bodies of magicians inside their prison, which resembled a cage.

When King Abaddon and Elizer got outside, he made an unexpected announcement that made the magicians even more frightened of him. He stretched his black wings and faced the magicians. "Release all the magicians and allow me to absorb their powers; I need to be strong enough to destroy two kings at the same time."

His servants quickly obeyed his order. They set free all of the magicians, including the two who built portals for his servants.

"I have given your comrades more than enough time to fight the enemies. But I could no longer feel their presence in Alabama while the werewolves are still fighting. Honestly, I thought that magicians were useful in battle. I guess I miscalculated your powers a little bit. What a shame!"

After decapitating their heads, King Abaddon absorbed their powers, showing no mercy to any of the magicians. However, it was insufficient. He went to the bandit pirates' prison and did the same thing, showing no pity to them as he took their powers. He unexpectedly transformed into his alpha form after absorbing so much power. The entire planet shook as he gradually lost control of himself, and the moon lost its light. The overwhelming powers of King Abaddon have alerted King Bartholomeo, King Malik, and King Barron who were all inside the kingdom of Alabama, brainstorming about ways to deal with King Abaddon.

"No doubt, King Abaddon has gained more powers!" said King Bartholomeo.

King Baron nodded in agreement. "Indeed, this sensation! I wonder what kind of power he has acquired, but regardless of that, the chance of winning a battle against them is dwindling. Only if we could reach the Celestial Spirit King would he surely stop King Abaddon from spreading terror on this planet."

"What if he suddenly attacks now?" Prince Arthur who entered inside the kingdom said. "There is no way we can match with his powers!"

King Malik took a step forward to intercept Prince Arthur. "Then that leaves me no other choice but to fight him."

"King Malik, while I acknowledge your powers, I have doubt that you can win against such an immortal enemy. He almost killed all of us. You are marching your own death!"

King Malik rested his hand on Prince Arthur's shoulder and looked him in the eyes. "Can you explain why a warrior like you fights even when the outcome is not in your favor?"

"Because I pledged to protect this kingdom with everything I've got!" Prince Arthur replied.

"Precisely! I need to show some courage if that is needed! Looking from the bigger picture of this situation, all the planets will succumb to King Abaddon if we don't do something. In other words, we are fighting the same enemy from the very beginning."

Prince Arthur grinned. "Then, let me help you, King Malik. Two heads are always better than one!"

King Malik frowned. "No, I cannot allow you to intervene in my fight. It's a matter of pride!"

King Abaddon lifted his hands in the air and shouted. "Now that I feel so much powers, I have to test how strong I've become. Casting a meteor is more than enough to crush the land of Alabama. High magic enchantment activated meteor strike, Golpe de meteorito activado por encantamiento mágico alto!"

The three kings went outside their kingdom and saw the atmosphere open and an enormous asteroid with the size of the moon enter their planet. All were alarmed, including Charlotte and Odin, who were hiding under the river. The Amazonians did their best and struck the asteroid with their weapons, but they failed to destroy it.

King Malik was about to intercept the meteor when Prince Arthur flew with his Pegasus and Tizona sword in his hand. He started to feel his body burning as he approached the asteroid. Luckily, King Barron cast a barrier to protect him from the heat and debris once he shattered the meteor.

"This is not the end for our nation!" he yelled as he prepared to slash the asteroid. "Magic activated, long slash sword, Magia activada, espada cortada larga!"

Everyone watching him from the ground was astounded when he cut through the enormous asteroid using his Tizona sword. Although, the debris rained down on Alabama, killing some warriors and warrioresses who let their guard down.

King Abaddon, on the other hand, was stunned to see Prince Arthur successfully destroy the massive asteroid he had just summoned. He raised his mighty sword and was about to attack Prince Arthur when the dark Phoenix soared towards him and unleashed a hail of black fire. Despite being struck, King Abaddon was unaffected in the least.

"That's impossible! How can the deadliest creature's attack not affect him?" asked Prince Arthur.

The dark Phoenix created a tornado of fire that surrounded King Abaddon. 

"This pitiful creature isn't enough to bring me down!" He waved his excaliber sword to stop the tornado. In a flash of lightning, he charged at the dark Phoenix and effortlessly slashed its body. He flailed his hand and cast magic. "Magic telekinesis activated, Telequinesis mágica activada!" he chanted as he moved his hand sideways.

Prince Arthur dropped his Tizona sword in the ocean, but he did not give up and summoned four head dragons that fired four elements: wind, fire, water, and lightning at King Abaddon.

"Do you honestly believe you can defeat me by calling pitiful creatures Prince Arthur?"

King Abaddon shielded himself with his dark wings. Following the attack of the four-headed dragon, he copied Prince Arthur's long slash sword and imbued it with the lethal power he had recently acquired. "Magic activated, long slash sword, Magia activada, espada cortada larga!"

The black slash of his excaliber cut the four head dragons in half, so did Prince Arthur's Pegasus. King Malik flew to save Prince Arthur before he could fall in the ocean while the Amazonians distracted King Abaddon with their long-ranged bow attacks.

King Abaddon looked up into the skies and spread his arms. "Magic enchantment activated, red lightning strike, Encantamiento mágico activado, rayo rojo!"

"Not so fast," said King Baron, then he snapped his fingers. "Ultimate barrier activated, Barrera definitiva activada!"

The barrier of King Baron enveloped the entire Alabama and protected them from the countless lightning strikes. When King Abaddon glanced down, he saw the Tizona sword fall into the waves. He descended to get it when King Malik rushed and blew winds to move him away. The Tizona sword went beneath the oceans. Prince Arthur, who was riding a flying dragon, went to retrieve it before it fell beneath the sea floor.

Since the moonlight had faded, all Charlotte and Odin could see were the shadows of Prince Arthur, King Malik, and King Abaddon.

"Is that Prince Arthur?" asked Charlotte.

"Indeed," Odin replied. "He was attempting to retrieve the Tizona sword from the oceans."

Charlotte, who was still hiding in the river with Odin, closed her eyes and flailed her hands. Even though it was impossible, she tried to imagine the appearance of the Tizona sword and miraculously get it from the depths of the oceans and lift it up to Prince Arthur, who took it and flew in the air. His eyes were widened in shock at what just happened.

Odin, who saw her magic, was greatly surprised. "No way, you're a magician, Charlotte?" he asked in wonder.

Charlotte turned around and answered Odin in a soft voice. "I am the third princess of King Solomon and Queen Elizabeth, and they have kept me in prison for a long time!"

In the midst of their conversation, the werewolves who were chasing them heard their voice in the river. Charlotte used her magic to control her katana, piercing one of the werewolves' heart. She even used her shield to cut off its head. "Please take care of another one," she said to Odin. "I'll explain myself and tell you everything afterwards!"
