CHAPTER 44

Prince Arthur leaned on Elora's shoulder, causing her to react.

"Hey, it's kinda awkward for me. What if someone sees you leaning on my shoulder and report it to the King? I am sure I will be subjected to public shaming!"

"My father does not care about that at all. He has been supportive of me ever since. So you have nothing to worry about. Besides, I am tired of this. Sometimes, I wish I was not a prince of this nation and just lived a normal life like others!"

"Don't worry; all of your worries will end soon."

"By the way, can you tell me something about your life? I am more than happy to get to know you better, sorry, but I almost forgot my conversation with you the last time."

"Well, to tell you the truth, I am half magician and half warrioress. I lost my family a long time ago and the Amazonians became my second family. With them, I feel so safe!"

Prince Arthur quickly apologized for bringing up such a painful past. "I see. Sorry for the loss of your parents."

"That's just okay. I am happy that Amazonian warriors are able to fulfill their duties, especially Mila who acted like my second mother."

"Now, I started to realize that we really have something in common. My Zodiac warriors are like my second family too and Alexander is my best friend, and my initial plan was to find my significant other at his wedding," Prince Arthur looked at her in the eyes. "I guess, there is no need to do that because I already found her!"

Elora played stupid and asked a dumb question even though she knew the answer. "Wa-wait... I can't understand what you are saying, Prince Arthur. What do you mean by that?"

Prince Arthur kissed Elora on the cheek. "I know you knew that you are the one I am referring to. Honestly, you are a beautiful warrioress not to mention that you can use magic too. I look forward to becoming the King of this nation and making you my Queen!"

"A... are you sure that you wanted me to become your wife? But I think we should know each other and not rush things. The problems of Alabama are far more important right now. I can only give you a support, Prince Arthur. All I am asking is for you to wait until everything was over!"

Charlotte and Odin who were hiding on the tree spotted Prince Arthur and Elora but neither of them could see their faces because it was dark.

"That warrior with Tizona sword at his back is Prince Arthur. I am not bragging, but he is the most handsome warrior here in Alabama. Once you see his face, it's impossible for you not to be attracted to him!"

"What is he doing here?"

"How should I know? Prince Arthur never told me he was coming here!"

"Perhaps he has a relationship with that woman, and they are probably hiding their relationship."

Odin exhaled a sigh. "Are you jealous of her? From what I have heard, Prince Arthur has never been in any kind of relationship, so seeing him with a woman on this island is not bad at all. From the way she dressed, I think she's also an Amazonian like Arya!"

"No, I am not. I wanted to see him closer, can I go and just say hi to him?" begged Charlotte.

Odin suddenly felt jealous for some reasons but he allowed her to go anyway. "Okay you can; however, if I sense any danger, I will run and save you!"

"I think I am going to observe them first!"

Arya suddenly called Odin's and Charlotte's names. "Hey, Odin and Charlotte, please respect their privacy. Leave Prince Arthur and Elora alone! They might be resting on this Island!"

Charlotte and Odin turned around and were shocked to see Arya severely injured.

"What happened?" asked Odin.

"Are you f*cking stupid? Of course the werewolves did this to me! Fighting them in their alpha form alone was suicidal. Luckily, I managed to defeat them all. Also, you have to know that enemies are retreating back but I don't know the reason why."

Odin arrived to save Arya when she slumped on the ground. "Hey hang in there!"

Charlotte who was still shocked by her sudden passing out, approached her. "Her face is turning violet. It might be caused by a poison!"

Odin cast a glance at Charlotte.  "What do you mean by that?"

"I just remembered reading a book about high-ranking werewolves that are turning berserk during their alpha form, allowing them to have poisonous claws. And it's not just a simple poison, it must be a deadly one!"

"Then we need to find a cure before it's too late!"

"I have no idea what kind of remedy is okay with this!"

Arya spoke with such a soft voice that Charlotte and Odin had to place their heads next to her mouth to hear what she was saying.

"There is an animal called the six-tailed fox that is impervious to all sorts of poison and can only be found on this Island. Although you have to take some precautions, that fox might be small but it's terrible. It can produce deadly poison as well, and there is no known antidote for that!"

"Then I guess I need to find it myself since I am familiar with that kind of animal. I can recall reading a book regarding that," said Charlotte. "Among all of us, I am the most qualified to hunt for that animal!"

"No! I need to take care of you, Charlotte!" uttered Odin. "That is the primary reason why I came here!"

"She just told us a while ago that the werewolves are gone. You have nothing to worry about me!"

Before Charlotte could leave, Odin grabbed her head and pulled her towards him. "Sorry Charlotte, we just met but my heart is already in love with you. I know it's wrong," Odin kissed Charlotte's lips again, more aggressive than their first kiss.

Charlotte slipped away from his possessive arms and slapped his face. "Don't ever do that again, Odin! I don't want to be around you anymore. Ammon and Alexander are the only warriors I found attractive!" 

Odin grinned. "How about our sex earlier? You were the one who initiated it, that means I am also your ideal man!"

"I only did that to know if you are the warrior I am looking for. So don't assume that I did that because I have feelings for you, bastard!" she yelled.

Prince Arthur was about to kiss Elora when they heard Charlotte's voice.

"Who is that?" asked Prince Arthur. "And why is she shouting? Perhaps, she's in danger!"

Elora stood up. "Maybe we can go and check if someone is being attacked here!"

Prince Arthur and Elora dragged their feet to the source of the noise. Odin saw them coming so he called Prince Arthur's name and had his hand so he could easily notice him. "Over here, Prince Arthur!" he shouted.

As soon as they came in front of Odin and Arya, Elora immediately saw the awful situation of her comrade and cast healing magic. However, it was not working on the poison. "This is bad, she was being poisoned by a high-rank werewolf as well. She also needs the blood of a six-tailed fox."

"You have nothing to worry about, Charlotte went to the forest and is searching for that animal as we speak!"

"Who is Charlotte?" asked Prince Arthur.

"She is Ammon's lover!" answered Odin, putting a bitter smile on his face. "The one I am guarding right now. She's the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my life!"

Prince Arthur was about to speak when Elora interrupted him. "What a coincidence, King Bartholomeo happens to be in the same awful situation. Since it's already midnight, Prince Arthur used an eagle to hunt for that animal since 
it's getting darker!"

"Then I should go as well, Charlotte would find it difficult to hunt in the middle of the night. Although considering that she could also," Odin bit his lips to keep the words from spilling out. "Never mind!"

"Maybe you should come with him Prince Arthur," said Elora. "I can take care of Arya. The faster we get the fox, the better!"

"Okay fine," Prince Arthur summoned a twin-headed tiger and gazed at Arya. "That lion might not be as strong as you, but in case the werewolves showed up, it can fight fairly. Please stay safe for me, Arya!"

Arya wore an enormous grin on her face. "You have nothing to worry about Prince Arthur. An Amazonian like us never dies instantly. Also, I forgot to remind you of something really important. The fox usually hides under a rock or cave, you can summon creatures to get it instead of you. That fox's poison is harmful to animals and us, so please take care!"

"Yeah, Charlotte mentioned that already. But thanks for informing us, anyway!"
