CHAPTER 45

Prince Arthur and Odin were about to take off when the eagle that Prince Arthur sent returned to him, carrying a dead fox.

"What a perfect timing. I really thought it wouldn't come back, but I just miscalculated," said Prince Arthur as he removed the fox from the bird's mouth and handed it over to Elora. "Is this the animal we are hunting for?"

Elora smiled. "Of course, I am so glad that we are able to obtain it. Can I give some to Arya? A single drop will undoubtedly eliminate the poison from her body!"

Arya contradicted Elora, forcing herself to speak even though her body was weakened by the poison. "I am not going to do that. Please give it to King Bartholomeo, he needs it more than I do. I will be ashamed if you saved me instead of him!"

"No, Amazonians are the strongest defense troop in Alabama!" disagreed Prince Arthur. "I am certain that my father would say the exact words to you, Arya! So please, swallow your pride and save your energy while Elora is trying to save your life!"

"Prince Arthur is right. You need to take that in order to get stronger so we can both protect Charlotte!" Odin remarked.

"Speaking of Charlotte, I can no longer accompany you to find. Once Arya has recovered from the poison, she will be resting while you wait until Charlotte arrives."

"I wanted to follow her, though!"

"Don't be so obstinate, Odin! What if she arrives while you're gone? Then she'll wait for your return."

"Pardon me Your Majesty, it was an honest mistake of mine!"

Prince Arthur waited for Elora, who was casting healing magic to cure Arya. The moment she was finished casting her healing magic they returned to the Kingdom with the dead fox. Fortunately, Elora also succeeds in curing King Bartholomoe and he gets better. Then Queen Veronica entered their room. She looks worried and asks Prince Arthur what happened while hugging her King.

"Again, a werewolf named Elizer scratched his face with his razor sharp claws filled with unique deadly poison." Prince Arthur put his arms around Elora's shoulders and looked at her. "If it wasn't for this Amazonian, that would probably succumbed to poison."

King Bartholomeo woke up and looked at Queen Veronica. "I would like to apologize for what I said. I shouldn't slap you in front of everyone, especially in front of your son."

"I would like to apologize as well. I had no idea what I was talking about and I rudely interrupted your speech. I feel so sorry for what happened to King Malik and King Barron. They were good friends of yours, and they were defeated by King Abaddon."

"Yes, that is why we are not celebrating the 40th anniversary of our nation. Tomorrow morning, I am going to the moon and trying to communicate with the Celestial Spirit King. Just in case he still doesn't show up, I will be heading to Neptune and Uranus to deliver their dead bodies. I felt guilty that I couldn't do something for my nation."

"King Abaddon will undoubtedly attack again once he has recovered!" said Prince Arthur while crossing his arms over his chest.

"Prince Arthur, you have to protect this nation at all costs using your Tizona sword while I am away!"

"Understood father, I will also train very hard so I can defeat King Abaddon once we meet again!"

King Bartholomeo rolled his eyes at Elora. "By the way, I would like to thank you for helping me recover. Your name is Elora, right?"

Elora got down on her knees. "Yes, King Bartholomeo, I am overjoyed to see you have recovered as well!"

"I was unconscious a while ago, but I could hear you and my son talking. Frankly speaking, I wanted you to be his wife since you two have so much in common, like using magic and taking care of your loved ones!"

Prince Arthur's face turned red, as did Elora's. They kept their distance from each other for a while.

"Thank you Elora," Queen Veronica said. "You can spend the rest of the night with my son if you'd like!"

"I'm sorry Queen Veronica but I refused to do that. I am still a virgin, and I wanted to preserve it until I married the right warrior for me!"

Queen Veronica stood up on her feet and walked towards Elora. "Please stand up, Amazonian!" she ordered.

Elora rose to her feet and faced Queen Veronica. "Besides, we are following very strict rules that only a married couple is allowed to be in one room!" she continued.

"I am above the law, Elora! I am the Queen of this nation, so I don't see anything wrong with you sleeping with my son, who is old enough to make his own decisions." However, if you refuse to grant my wish, at least have an interest in hanging out with him. Perhaps, you can practice together and tour this nation at any time."

"Agreed," said King Bartholomeo. "A strong male and female warrior ruling this nation will become unstoppable. Just say a word and I'll permit the two of you to get married while I'm still alive."

Prince Arthur bowed his head. "I would like to be excluded from this narrative, please excuse me!" he said as he exited the room, leaving Elora behind.

He turned around and gave her an apologetic face. "Elora, please disregard all you've heard about marriage; my parents are simply excited to see me marry since they are too old, and my father wanted to relieve so much stress!"

"Well, to be honest, I like you, Prince Arthur! I mean, all the Amazonians and warrioress have the same hidden feelings for you as well, but please, let us first focus on safeguarding this nation!"

"Sure, that's a promise! And since you've been so brave to speak about your own feelings, I guess I should too!"

"I can't believe it's all happening in such a short period of time. Everything that has transpired has been a blessing in disguise."

"Yes, and it would be nice if you sleep in my room!"

"What? Is that serious?"

Prince Arthur approached her and kissed her forehead before speaking in an audible voice that only Elora could understand. "It is. You heard what my mother said, there's nothing wrong if I am the one who will take your virginity. But let us eat alone together and take a quick bath in a nearby river!"

Elora couldn't say any words as she was shocked by what was happening, so she just nodded her head.

She dined with Prince Arthur in the royal cuisine, where wonderful delicacies are served on tables with candle fragrances to add romantic vibes.

"I have a huge appetite for today so pardon me if I eat a lot!" said Prince Arthur.

"I don't mind that; as a matter of fact, I also have a huge appetite for today. Being on the battlefield is kinda exhausting and we only ate sea creatures like fish and octopus. I wonder what Amazonians are eating right now, the ocean is gone so they would probably return her or pick some fresh crops!"

"You have nothing to worry about, my father knew what to do. Anyway, I wanted to train with you once this battle temporarily came to a halt."

"Sure, I am going to take that fight seriously!"

"So do I. By the way, I haven't seen any zodiac warriors in action today. Are they still hiding?"

"Yes, as you know the enemies dispatched high-ranking werewolves to kill them. As a Prince, I valued their lives and the lives of their loved ones!"

"So that's the main reason why you sent Arya and that warrior named Odin to look after Charlotte!"

"Indeed, I have no trust with Odin but he was the one that other warriors recommended to me! Albeit, they said that he is an aggressive to warrioress."

"We missed the chance to meet Charlotte earlier. I was hoping to see her though!"

"Me too! I have a feeling that she's a beautiful warrioress. Anyway, I already told Ammon that she was welcome to attend the wedding of Alexander and Isabella. I mean, I looked forward to attending his wedding as well!" Prince Arthur became excited as he narrated his story.

"Are we invited too? I mean the Amazonians?"

"I will talk to Alexander. Afterall, we need to ask his permission since it's his wedding day. For sure he has a lot of visitors to accommodate!"

"When will it happen?"

"Three days from now. Although anything can happen within three days," Prince Arthur held the hands of Elora.

"Like us training together, eating together, roaming this place together, and becoming officially together!"

Elora's face turned pale again, and she gave him a rakish smile. "Let us eat so we can take a bath together. I mean, the cold water of the river shall remove the pain in our bodies!"
