CHAPTER 28

For the benefit of his warriors, Prince Arthur persisted in being obstinate and rude. "Father, not unless they fight, we won't know for sure."

"Your son is right, King Bartholome. We're not going to do it if I did not see the potential of these Zodiac warriors. Here is my deal: once they defeat my 12 soldiers, I promise to give each one of them 1 ton of gold as a reward. Whichever team loses will face a consequence like executing them here and now!"

King Bartholomeo smiled. "Then we have a deal! To be fair, I'm also awarding your soldiers with tons of gold once they win against the Zodiac warriors. Not only that, I'm also permitting them to kill their enemies."

"Father that is beyond me. My Zodiac warriors have the right to choose whether they want to fight or not."

"We are ready to fight until our last breath. That is our duty," said Alexander. "Although I don't think I am ready to die yet. My future wife and our baby need me, so rest assured that I will show no mercy to my opponents."

"The same goes for the rest of the Zodiac warriors," added Ammon. "My future lover is waiting for my return, I am doing this for her."

King Malik clapped his hands in amazement. "How magnificent. Your king might not be impressed with your skills, but I am different." He motioned his finger and created a circle in the air. Then a huge black portal emerged, and 12 alien-like creatures appeared. They have horns on their heads and tails on their butts.

"They are the strongest creatures on my planet, and they are more powerful than they appeared to be."

The frozen cave stream suddenly had a large rectangular barrier surrounding it on all sides.

"Now that this place won't be destroyed, you can fight to the best of your ability."

Ammon asked, "Can we find out what their names are?"

"No, names do not exist on my planet, even for my strongest warriors. Only a king and his royal family have names."

Prince Arthur could feel the intense power of the weird creatures and warned his Zodiac warriors. "Be careful, I can sense the strange power hiding in them."

Prince Arthur and the three kings stepped aside on the corner to witness the deadly battle between the two groups. The atmosphere was intense and everyone took a deep breath.

"I am going to lead this fight," said Alexander. "Among all the Zodiac warriors, I am more experienced in fighting weird creatures."

"Do you have a plan in mind?" asked Balthazar.

"Let us see what the capabilities of these creatures are. In that way, we can defeat them!" explained Alexander. "I'm going to unleash a full-scale assault."

Alexander drew his Zodiac sword, and in the blink of an eye, he slashed the bodies of the alien creatures. He was able to cut through their bodies. But the twelve creatures melted like fluid and merged as one.

"What the hell is happening?" asked Prince Arthur.

King Malik grinned. "My soldiers can adapt to any attack they receive, and their bodies are flexible. Swords of any kind are useless against them."

"They should figure out the main weakness of that tricky monster as early as possible. Once it absorbs their powers, your Zodiac warriors will surely die... in a painful way."

"I think I should let them borrow my Tizona sword."

"No my son, you are not going to help them in this fight. If they die in the hands of their enemies, that means they don't deserve to serve this nation."

The Zodiac warriors attacked the creature with everything they've got and yet they still couldn't penetrate any part of its body until Balthazar was caught by its hands.

"Get your f*cking hands off of my comrade," said Leomord as he cast water magic again. "Water vortex, tornado. Vórtice de agua, tornado!"

His water magic did some minor damage to the creature, and Balthazar escaped its tight grip, but he fell on the ground and could barely move a muscle. Odyseus helped him get up.

"Thank you, friend, I was too reckless and did not notice it coming after me!" said Balthazar, who was still struggling to breathe.

"No problem. Just be careful next time. Seriously, this creature is more nimble than he looks."

"What are we going to do now?" Oshiro questioned. "None of our swords could pierce its body, right?

"Only my magic can penetrate its body, so I am the only one here who can stand a chance!" Leomord explained.

"No, you can't overuse your magic power. You will die for sure," said Loki.

Leomord nodded and became emotional. "The truth is, I am proud of being a part of this group even though I did not dream of becoming one of you. So for the last time, I would like to say thank you for all the bonds we shared together!"

Leomord clenched his fist, and his power was raging beneath the surface. He pointed his finger at their opponent. "Hey bastard, listen to me! This is the most deadly magic I have learned so far, and not even a creature like you would stand a chance against it."

Prince Arthur tried to stop Leomord by shouting out loud. "No... Leomord, killing yourself is not the key to winning. Please, I am sure there are other ways for you to defeat that!"

Leomord gazed at Prince Arthur. "No, this is the only way out. Thank you for accepting a lonely warrior like me, Prince Arthur. You have given me hope!"

Leomord cupped his hands sideways to gather enough energy. He closed his eyes to concentrate. "Forbidden magic, water vortex, deadly tsunami. Magia prohibida, vórtice de agua, tsunami mortal!"

Their enemy instantly trembled, opening its mouth wide to shoot a devastating beam. But the Zodiac warriors once more utilized their ultimate shield to defend Leomord. Water gushed from the ground and was being absorbed by Leomord's hands.

"Go ahead and cast that powerful attack. You will never die if you drain your powers!" shouted Atlas. "From what I have heard, forbidden magic only makes you unable to use magic anymore, but it does not mean you will die!"

The alien-liked creature's plasma traveled through the air before hitting the impenetrable shield of the Zodiac warriors.

"Leap and hit that from above," said Alexander. "We will hold its beam while we can!"

Leomord leapt over the Zodiac warriors and unleashed a magical attack on the creature, which redirected its plasma towards him. As their powerful attacks collided, it resulted in a blinding light. However, the skies turned dark and the barrier that surrounded the frozen Arctic cave stream broke apart.

Their attention was diverted to King Abaddon, who was descending from above.

"What a nice view from above. I never anticipated that the so-called faithful servants of the Celestial Spirit King would unexpectedly betray the second mightiest in the entire universe!"

King Bartholomeo grinned as soon as King Abaddon landed in front of them. "It has been a long time, King Abaddon. It seems like you cannot wait to wreck havoc in my nation and conquer it!"

King Abaddon smirked. "Indeed, this nation will soon be mine!" 

"As expected, you are more delusional than I thought!"

Prince Arthur drew his Tizona sword and charged at King Abaddon. However, King Malik created a barrier, trapping him inside like a bird.

"King Malik, my Tizona sword was created to destroy that monster from this planet. Please let me go and kill him," pleaded Prince Arthur.

"No son, King Malik and King Baron are more than enough to kill this werewolf king!"

"I have no desire to fight any of you. I came here to negotiate with King Bartholomeo!"

"Begone! I have no intention of surrendering my kingdom to you, King Abaddon."

King Abaddon took a step forward towards King Bartholomeo and drew his excaliber sword. "I warned you, I already defeated the most powerful foes, and you are the next if you don't surrender your kingdom to someone who deserved it the most."

"My kingdom is only mine. If you dare to take it by force, then you have to kill me first!"

"Actually, none of you, not even the Kings from other planets, stood a chance against me," King Abaddon replied, looking at the two kings beside King Bartholomeo.

As the tension rises between the kings. The creature that the Zodiac warriors grew bigger and dashed at King Abaddon. He unleashed his sharp claws. However, King Abaddon turned around and flicked his forehead, instantly turning him into ashes. King Malik and the rest of them were shocked to witness the effortless beating of his most powerful soldier.

"This is absurd. My Zodiac warriors were struggling to fight that creature and yet he defeated it without exerting much effort," said Prince Arthur.

King Abaddon disappeared, and in the blink of an eye, he choked the necks of King Malik and Baron with his two hands. King Bartholome was about to punch him, but Elizer, the most faithful werewolf servant of King Abaddon, appeared at his back and pointed his sharp claws at his neck. "Don't try to move if you don't want my razor-sharp claws to dig into your neck."

Prince Arthur used his Tizona sword to cut the barrier. He then dashed to Elizer with his sword. "Let my father go, son of a bitch!"

"Not happening," said King Abaddon. He intercepted Prince Arthur and kicked him to the ground. "You are Prince Arthur, right? The wielder of the Tizona sword!"

Prince Arthur slowly got up, but King Abaddon stepped on his face and tightly squeezed him to the ground. "You are not worthy to carry such a legendary sword, so I'm gonna take it!" said Abaddon in a mocking way.
