CHAPTER 42
Both of them decided to combine their powers by cupping their hands on their sides. King Abaddon did the same. Unfortunately, he managed to overpower and kill them. Because of what he had witnessed, Prince Arthur became enraged and ran to King Abaddon, slashing his wing with his Tizona sword.
King Abaddon used his excaliber to fight Prince Arthur's Tizona sword, while Elizer flew in and fought alongside him.
Prince Arthur found himself in a very disadvantageous situation, and King Bartholomeo joined the battle. He used his Tsurugi sword and fought Elizer. Prince Arthur summoned Titanoboa and the T-Rex dinosaur to help them beat King Abaddon and his right hand, Elizer.
When King Abaddon became enraged and agitated, he turned into his alpha form. His canine teeth became larger, his eyes turned red, and his body turned a golden yellow due to the powers he just absorbed. He slashed the Titanoboa and T-Rex dinosaur when it attacked him. And even when the situation was too dangerous, Prince Arthur decided to attack using his Tizona sword, cutting the remaining wing of King Abaddon. He immediately shifted back to his original form. He tried regenerating but his efforts were pretty damn useless.
"Son of a b*tch! I lost two wings because of that f*cking sword. Elizer, confront Arthur. I will be facing King Bartholomeo by myself. I planned for King Solomon to fight him, but things don't turn to our favor!"
Elizer fought Prince Arthur and King Bartholomeo. "My Majesty, please leave this place at once. You stand no chance against the Tizona sword. I will handle them by myself. Killing two kings at the same time is quite impressive and your powers might already have surpassed the Celestial Spirit King!"
"No! You are not leaving this place, you f*cking werewolf. You'll gonna pay for killing two kings!" yelled King Bartholomeo.
King Abaddon exited the place through the portal. Elizer, on the other hand, kept fighting Prince Arthur and King Bartholomeo. Realizing that he could not beat both of them, he resorted to transforming into his Alpha form. He was able to dig his poisonous claws into King Bartholomeo's face and retreat, waiting for the poison to take effect.
King Bartholomeo started to faint, but Prince Arthur was able to catch him before he fell to the ground. "Father, what happened?" he worriedly asked.
"As the right hand of King Abaddon, I am the second strongest werewolf. Therefore, I was granted these incredible powers," said Elizer as he clenched his fist. "My claws are filled with poison. Once it scratches your skin, the poison will quickly paralyze you till you die."
A portal appeared behind Elizer, and he went through it to escape.
King Bartholomeo looked at Prince Arthur, and his voice was so hard to hear that Prince Arthur placed his ears to his mouth. "Please leave me in this place and die along with King Malik and King Baron. Like them, I am ready to die in this place. What a shame! Three kings were beaten easily in the hands of King Abaddon. Now, the Alabama nation's welfare rests in your hands. Don't let them down!"
King Bartholomeo's face turned violet as the poison started to affect his body.
"No, there is still hope. Just hang on and let me bring you back to Alabama."
Prince Arthur used his Pegasus and returned to the shore of Alabama's capital and saw the Amazonian warriors guarding the place. He dismounted the Pegasus, and the Amazonians gathered in front of him and kneeled down.
"Elora, please heal my father. King Abaddon's right hand poisoned him with his claws. Can you heal the poison?" asked Prince Arthur, then laid his unconscious father on the ground, who could hardly breathe.
Elora stood up and saw that the King's body was turning violet. She placed her ear to his heart and could feel his slow heartbeat. She looked at Prince Arthur. "I have never seen this kind of poison before, but I will do my best to cure your father," she said. Then she placed her palms on his cheeks, where he was being scratched by Elizer. The moment she closed her eyes, Prince Arthur felt his heart pound in excitement. Something that he had never experienced before. This wonderful moment was cut short when Mila asked a question.
"Prince Arthur, where are the two kings of Neptune and Uranus?"
Prince Arthur's smile had turned bitter, and his eyes were fixed on Elora. He took a long breath to calm himself before delivering the dreadful news. "Unfortunately, King Abaddon was able to vanquish both of them alone; even I was surprised that he possessed such incredible powers!"
All the Amazonians stared at each other in shock. There was a moment of silence for a few seconds before Mila spoke again in a lower voice because she was expecting the opposite outcome of their intense fight. "How awful. I was expecting it the other way around. Especially that those two kings were strong on their own!"
"Being strong on their own isn't enough," replied Prince Arthur who could not help but stare at Elora's beautiful face. She felt awkward with the way Prince Arthur looked at her. "King Abaddon had already absorbed the power of magicians and bandit pirates."
"Is that so? That means it's only a matter of time before King Abaddon succeeds in invading our nation."
Prince Arthur swiveled his head toward Mila. "No, I was able to cut his wings with my Tizona sword when he let his guard down. We were fighting on the moon, and it was a little bit darker in outer space. It would take some time for him to recover from that. I have a hunch that he won't intervene in the 40th anniversary of Alabama!"
King Bartholomeo slowly opened his eyes and spoke slowly. "I am ordering to cancel our 40th anniversary. Losing two kings is hard to bear. However, we will remain vigilant in case the werewolves attack us!"
"Father, I am glad that you're finally awake," said Prince Arthur, smiling. "I also agree with your decision to cancel the 40th anniversary of our kingdom. As of now, our priority is to save our nation from external threats. I wonder what would be the reaction of creatures living in Uranus and Neptune if they found out that their kings had perished and died in the hands of King Abaddon!"
"Any nations or planets would plot revenge when their kings have been killed. That's very common. Tomorrow, I will be going there alone to pick up their dead bodies and transport them to their planet," answered King Bartholomeo.
Prince Arthur replied. "Yes father!" He looked at Elora again. As for now, we have to rest. Elora could you please come with us into the kingdom? I just want to make sure that my father survives this and you played an important role in making that happen."
Elora put a smile on her face. "I am not expecting you to say that, Prince Arthur. I am so honored to be of any help so I am coming with you!"
"Alright," he turned his gaze at Mila. "I am leaving the rest to you. Neither me nor my father has the strength to continue fighting." Prince Arthur put his hand on the ground and an eagle with blue eyes appeared. "Please stay alert and once there is a threat of another enemy's attack, send this eagle to the kingdom so I can deploy my Zodiac warriors to lend you a hand."
Mila sneered and laughed sarcastically. "You have nothing to worry about, Prince Arthur! We can defeat the enemies without seeking help from anyone, especially the Zodiac warriors. We, Amazonians are strong on our own. Rest assured that you can sleep without tracing any nearby threat. It's impossible for them to pass through us!" she bragged.
"As per Arya, I am hoping that she is doing just fine in the Elshor Island. The enemies might even think of attacking that area, so please look one after another. Tomorrow, I will come back here to check on you all. Let us call it a day," said Prince Arthur. He carried his father on his back and mounted his horse. Elora sat at the back of King Bartholomeo to support him, as he was still weak and could barely move.
"Later, I will cast healing magic again on you, King Bartholomeo!" said Elora.
Prince Arthur rubbed the head of his Pegasus. "Hey buddy, let us return to the kingdom and accelerate your speed. My father's enemy is time!"
The Pegasus started flying in the air and in the blink of an eye, it accelerated its speed and arrived at the kingdom within seconds.
"It seems like Prince Arthur is starting to like Elora. The way he looked at her, it has a meaning!" thought Mila. "There is no doubt, Elora will become the next Princess of this nation. They are both good at fighting and casting spells. I looked forward to seeing them holding hands together."
