CHAPTER 32

Ammon passed out when he arrived at Elshor Island's shore because he had expended so much energy training and fighting the enemies. Fortunately, Charlotte showed up and found him on the ground. She became very worried and tried to wake him up, but to no avail. Then five werewolves landed in her direction and surrounded her.

"Do not try to save that warrior lying on the ground; he is meant to die!" warned one of them.

"Who are you and why are you coming after him?" Inquired Charlotte.

"There is no need for you to know who we are; our purpose doesn't concern a dumb warrioress like you. You'd better step aside if you don't want to perish!" said the werewolf who warned her earlier.

"Pests like you killed anyone like they were nothing. And the fact that you are the reason why our kingdom is in great danger makes me hate you even more," Charlotte exclaimed indignantly.

"King Abaddon will reign in the entire universe once he gets rid of the king. Just shut your f*cking mouth and accept the fate of that man!"

"Ammon isn't going to die! Not in the hands of werewolves," she stood up and used her magic power to control Ammon's zodiac sword, slashing them all. She knelt down again and made another attempt to awaken Ammon. "Hey please get up, Ammon!" She hugged him tightly, and she could feel his heartbeat.

She looked at him in the eyes and mumbled. "Wait, this is the right opportunity for me to kiss him. If he is my fated man, then three meteors should fall from the skies."

Charlotte closed her eyes and attempted to kiss him. All of a sudden, a heavy rain poured from the skies. She used her magic to carry him to his home and laid him on his bed. She prepared him with hot tea, bread, and fruits she had freshly picked earlier that day. The heavy rain stopped, but she heard heavy footsteps outside getting closer to the door. She drew her katana sword to prepare just in case somebody attacked them.

A knock on the door made Charlotte tremble in fear. "Who is there?" she asked.

The intruder did not answer and just kept knocking on the door.

Charlotte shouted at the intruder, trying to scare him with her loud voice. "You won't get inside unless you tell me you are, son of a b*tch!"

The intruder passed through the wall, and a magician appeared before Charlotte. "I am Ezero, a magician who can pass through anything. Hand over that Zodiac you hid on the bed."

Charlotte had reason to trust him based on his purple cloak and the wand he was holding. "If you think I'm going to do that, you're the most stupid magician I ever encountered, Ezero."

"A mere warrioress like you stood no chance against a magician. The way you hold your sword, it looks like you're still a novice and just want to die in my hands!" said the arrogant magician.

Charlotte dropped her sword on the ground and raised both of her hands in the air, trying to trick the magician. "Okay, take Ammon with you. But please, try not to harm me!"

The magician grinned. "You know how to play safe, don't you?"

Charlotte curled her lips to smile. "Actually, I've learned how to value my life more than anything else." She motioned her hands on different sides and used her magic to stab him with two axes. However, the magician was quick enough and grabbed them before they could hit his face.

"I already predicted your trick! Do you think I did not notice you're a magician as well?"

Charlotte used her magic again to pierce his body with her katana lying on the ground, and she succeeded in doing so. The blood of the magician dripped on his mouth as Charlotte pressed her katana through his body to ensure that he died.

"No way! How could a mere magician like you do this to me? Who the hell are you?"

"I suppose telling you that I am the third princess of King Solomon and Queen Elizabeth won't leak to anyone since you're about to die."

"What? Are you f*cking kidding me? They have no other children aside from-"

The magician fell to the ground and died. Charlotte dragged him outside and dumped him in the water. She turned back home and saw Ammon was half naked while eating the food on the table.

"What happened to you Ammon? You've been badly hurt. Perhaps you should take some time to recover and let me look after you instead!"

"My body is still in pain and sleeping does not help me recover. I need to move my body!"

Charlotte sat beside him. "Alright, I have no objection if that's what you wanted to do. However, since you cannot move your body yet, I can help you eat."

Ammon gave Charlotte an appreciative grin. "Now you want to return the favor. Thank you for doing that!"

"No big deal. I just can't endure seeing you in that awful situation. Later, after you eat, I am going to get some herbal medicine to heal your wounds."

"Don't worry, the wounds will heal on their own."

As Charlotte fed Ammon, they remained talking with each other.

"Ammon, I'm sorry, but there's nothing you can do to stop me. I can't take your health for granted."

"Thanks!"

"Seriously, what happened today?" asked Charlotte.

"A lot of things happened today, and they were not in our favor!"

"What are you trying to say?"

"We had training earlier and finally defeated the dark Phoenix. We even fought another creature from another planet when King Abaddon suddenly appeared out of nowhere. What surprised me was, none of the three kings were able to stop that evil creature."

In spite of knowing the answer, Charltotte persisted on asking a question. "So King Abaddon wanted to invade this nation as well?"

"Indeed! And it's only a matter of time before they can achieve that. By the way, the last thing I can remember is that I passed out on the shore. How did you know that I was lying there?"

Charlotte lied to him. "Ahh... the heavy rain poured from the skies, and I decided to wait for you at the shore, then I saw you lying on the ground, unconscious!"

"I'm sorry for causing you trouble. It won't happen next time, I promise!"

"No, it will happen as long as you remain a warrior. Look, I am not saying that being a warrior is bad, but we both know how dangerous that job is, so please try to survive any war you involve yourself in."

"I am worried about my nation. If King Abaddon invaded us, we would have nowhere to go."

"Then why don't we hide? That's the best way to avoid the enemies!"

"This planet is special to me, Charlotte. I am a warrior, and hiding is not an option for me. I need to fight until my last breath."

"I am with you! Anyhow, I need to go outside and pick some herbal plants to heal your wounds!"

Ammon held her hands to stop her. "Please, the enemies are still attacking and it would be too risky if you came outside."

"You are forgetting that we trained together. I can protect myself now. I'll promise to come back as soon as I can!" said Charlotte, then she kissed his cheek. "You are so important to me, Ammon. I don't want to see you suffering like that!"

"What herbal medicine are you going to pick?"

"Rose, lavender, sage, and hay!"

Ammom knitted his forehead in confusion. "How did you know they were herbal medicines?"

"I've got those ideas from someone living in the capital of Alabama."

"Pretty convenient, huh!"

As soon as Charlotte finished feeding Ammon, she went outside and took some herbal medicine.
