Jasper Hartford’s POV
“Did you pay attention to anything I said?” Michael complained.
The answer was no, although I would never admit that to him. He was looking at me across the dining table as I was trying to eat breakfast. The smug look on his face was putting me off my food, and I could really do with having a good breakfast this morning.
I was up till late last night finalising all the plans for our escape later this afternoon. I was exhausted, much too exhausted to deal with Michael’s bullshit. If he was going to insist on talking to me then I was going to need a lot more coffee.
“Of course I was listening, you were talking about your pack.” I replied.
It was a guess but it was a calculated one, he was always talking about his pack. Trying to convince Sasha that her life would be better if she came back to his pack with him. Not that he was planning to give her a choice. He had made it clear on many occasions that it didn’t really matter to him what she thought. He was going to take her back to his pack and make her his luna regardless of how she felt.
“I was just asking you if your pack had any nice restaurants?” Michael asked, smirking at me. The fucker loved it when I got something wrong, that little slip up was going to make his day. I took a large gulp of coffee while I mentally prepared myself. I knew that my answer would spark a long rant and I wasn’t quite prepared to deal with it yet.
“Why? Do you want to take me out on a date?” Sasha asked.
I almost choked on the coffee in my mouth. Her agreeing to go on a date with Michael was part of our plan to distract him for a few hours but I hadn’t expected her to make the transition look so smooth. I was seriously impressed.
“Of course I do. I have been wanting that for days. Does this mean that you would go with me?” Michal asked, turning his whole body to look at her.
The smile on his face now was the first genuine smile I had seen from him in the whole time he had been here. It was almost enough to make me feel guilty that her advances were all just a ruse. Almost, but not quite.
“Fine, you can take me out for lunch today.” Sasha replied, rolling her eyes.
Michael observed her for a moment. It looked as though he wanted to ask for something a little more romantic than lunch but he didn’t want to push his luck. This was the first time that Sasha had shown any sign of accepting him. He wasn’t going to be stupid enough to risk that, and that was what we were counting on for our plan to work.
“I am looking forward to it.” Michael responded, his voice was so gentle that it was almost a purr.
After their interaction Michael ate his food in almost silence. He ate quickly, while humming to himself before heading upstairs to get ready. My parents left shortly afterwards, leaving me alone with Lizzy and Sasha but not before making a comment about how cute Michael and Sasha were together. Sasha looked a little upset at their comments but she quickly shook it off.
“Why has he gone to get ready now? We are only just eating breakfast.” Sasha asked, as she poured herself another cup of coffee.
She looked as though she hadn’t been sleeping too well either, it probably had something to do with the fear of being mated to a man that she hated. Every time he went near her neck she flinched as though she expected him to mark her against her will. Given what I knew about Michael, I was surprised that he hadn’t done that already.
“I think he wants to make a good first impression for your first date.” Lizzy suggested.
“It is much too late for him to make a good first impression upon me.”
“I can understand that but don’t worry, you will be out of here in no…..”
Lizzy had to cut her words short because one of the pack’s omegas walked in. She smiled at me shyly before she started clearing the table around us. I wasn’t sure if she was one of the omegas who would be leaving the pack with us but it wasn’t worth the risk. Not when we were this close. I opened up a mindlink to Sasha.
‘If Michael asks where we are then tell him we left to go to school.’
Our plan wasn’t supposed to take place for another couple of hours but I wasn’t going to waste the extra time. We could leave the pack as though we were heading to school but then head straight to our rendezvous point. This meant that we wouldn’t have to rely on Adam and Nico to coordinate everything.
“You seem happy.” Lizzy said as she followed me into our room. I let her close the door behind herself and then I pushed her up against the wall and started kissing her neck.
“Soon we will be free, of course I am happy.”
I continued to kiss my way slowly down her neck, nibbling slightly on her skin as I made my way towards her shoulder. She moaned softly which encouraged me to take things further. I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her towards me. I started pulling her backwards towards the bed.
“What are you doing? We should be getting ready to leave.” Lizzy might have been objecting but she wasn’t pushing me away and she was letting me lead her without hesitation.
“We will just have to be a little bit late.”
I picked her up and threw her onto the bed behind her. Lizzy inhaled sharply as she made contact with the mattress. I didn’t give her a chance to react, my body was on top of hers within seconds. Pressing my lips against hers as I hastily started to remove her clothes.
Lizzy wasn’t fighting me anymore. She was frantically trying to take off my clothes but she was so excited that she was struggling to undo my buttons. She growled in frustration before shredding my clothes. I threw the tattered scraps of my clothes to the floor, then started slowly kissing my way down her body.
“Stop teasing me and take me,” Lizzy growled. I shook my head and continued to make my way down her body, kissing her softly along the way. She growled in frustration, pushing me off her and onto the bed beside her.
Before I could do anything to stop her she straddled me, pinning me to the bed by my wrists. She sat on top of me and lowered herself down slowly, the moan that left her lips as I penetrated her was so delicious that I wasn’t able to hold back any longer. My hips thrust upwards, pushing my cock deep inside of her.
