Epilogue
Elizabeth Summers’ POV
We had only been at our new pack for a few days but it was already clear that it was going to take a lot of work to get this town back to its former glory. The town had been abandoned over ten years ago and a lot of the buildings were well on their way to falling down.
I didn’t care about that though, this place already felt more like home than my old pack ever had. There was nobody telling me that my omega parents made me inferior to other werewolves. Everyone here respected each other and worked together. I would take that over the alternative any day.
There was no denying that it was hard work though. There was so much physical work required to get the buildings fixed and then there was everything else that needed to be done. Our pack members needed to find paid employment and I had to spend countless hours forming alliances with the surrounding packs. It was exhausting.
“What are you doing in here, baby?” Jasper asked.
“I’m making you dinner.” He had been out all day checking the outskirts of the pack for any hidden dangers. Making him dinner was the least I could do for him.
“I should be doing that for you alpha.” He replied.
“No, you have been working so hard while I have just been sitting at a desk all day,” I told him.
“Yes, sitting at a desk, negotiating with other alphas. That sounds a lot harder than anything I have been doing.”
I could hear the pride in his voice, along with the desire. He loved it when I let my alpha traits show, and I loved the reaction it elicited in him.
“If you want to pamper me then you can bring me breakfast in bed tomorrow.” I suggested.
“That sounds perfect.”
He wrapped his arms around my waist and slowly started kissing his way up my neck. If he kept kissing me like that then dinner was going to end up getting ruined.
“How about you help me finish this, then we can go upstairs and you can show me how much you have missed me today?” I suggested.
Jasper purred in agreement and started stirring the vegetables in the pan with an intensity that made me giggle. I didn’t care how much work this new pack would be, every moment of it would be worth it as long as I had him by my side.
