Chapter 309 Demarion Was Found
The helicopter rescue team arrived.
The search team brought their rescue dogs with them.
Everyone was trying their best to find the whereabouts of Demarion.
After resting in Beau's embrace for a while, Eliza joined Beau in the search for Demarion.
They searched everywhere they could, but they couldn't find Demarion at all.
The rescue team even found the tigers and leopards' homes, but they still couldn't find Demarion.
Seeing that it was getting dark, the search became more and more difficult, and the chances of Demarion staying alive became smaller and smaller.
At seven o'clock in the evening, the search-and-rescue team met a pack of wolves. They had no choice but to retreat.
Eliza insisted on staying in the forest and didn't want to leave.
Beau endured the pain and pulled her out of the forest.
"I'm not leaving, I'm not leaving!"
In Beau's embrace, Eliza struggled frantically. "I want to look for Demarion!"
"He must be alive. I must find him!"
"Beau, let me go!"
"Beau!"
Holding the struggling woman tightly in his arms, Beau sighed heavily. "Eliza, be a little more rational."
"It has been nearly ten hours."
"If Demarion is still alive, with so many people looking for him, it's not possible that we can't find him!"
He held back his sadness and hugged her tightly.
"Demarion and Braint grew up with me. I feel worse than you that he's gone missing!"
"But, Eliza, be rational and face the reality, okay?"
"We still have Braint and Liliana. If you can't even act rationally, what are you going to do with the two children?"
What he said completely destroyed Eliza's hope.
She lowered her head, bit her wrist, and finally burst into tears.
For the whole day, she had been holding back her tears. She thought that Demarion would definitely be alive.
But now, Beau's words seemed to have choked off her last hope.
Demarion...
Eliza closed her eyes, and she recalled the moments she spent with Demarion.
When they first met, Demarion pretended to be scary to scare her.
And later, he pretended to be Braint and came to her for a meal.
Tears kept streaming down her face.
How could it be...
How could it be?
How could Demarion end up like this?
She still had a lot of things to do with him, and she also wanted to accompany the three kids to grow up.
Now that Demarion was gone, half of her joy was gone too.
In Beau's embrace, Eliza kept crying, her tears moistening Beau's clothes.
In the end, when Beau put her in the car, she was still crying.
Faced with her tears, Beau could only sigh.
Braint had always silently stood by her side, constantly giving her a napkin to wipe her tears.
When they got home, Liliana rushed to them as soon as they entered the door.
"Is there any news about Demarion?"
Eliza didn't say anything and continued wiping her tears.
Beau sighed silently and turned to smoke outside.
Braint shook his head slightly towards his younger sister.
Liliana pursed her lips and subconsciously took a step back. She wanted to say something but when she opened his mouth, tears began to flow uncontrollably.
Eliza squatted down and hugged Liliana. The two ladies began to cry.
The entire Valentine family villa was shrouded in a sorrowful atmosphere.
They didn't have dinner at night. The housekeeper was afraid that they would starve, so he asked the servants to heat up the food again and again.
Only when it was daybreak did Eliza finally stop crying and fall asleep on the couch.
Ten o'clock in the morning, Beau received a strange call.
"Hello."
A strange male voice came from the other end of the phone. "This is the Western City Police Station."
"Is there a boy of five or six years old missing from your home?"
Beau, who had been busy all night checking the news of all the flights leaving Krine, straightened his back and said, "Yes."
"Then please come to the Western City Police Station."
"Your child was found by the cleaner near the trash can yesterday and was already unconscious."
"He is still in a coma now after he was sent to the hospital for rescue. When the nurse undressed him, he saw your number on the inside of his wrist and reported to us."
"Okay, I'll be right there!"
Before he could ask more details, Beau directly hung up the phone and strode downstairs.
On the sofa in the living room downstairs, Eliza was currently quietly sleeping while hugging Liliana.
She and Liliana cried all night yesterday.
The eyes of the woman and the child with the same cute faces were red and swollen at the moment.
He sighed, took Liliana out from Eliza's embrace, placing her on the other side of the couch.
His movements woke Eliza up.
She opened her sleepy eyes and looked at him in confusion. "Is there any news about Demarion?"
"Yes."
The simple answer made Eliza instantly awake.
She was so excited that she almost bounced up from the sofa.
"Really?"
"Yes."
Beau took a deep breath, and his low voice sounded relieved. "The Western City Police Station just called. They said that the cleaner found Demarion in a coma yesterday and called the police."
"Demarion has been in a coma, so they couldn't find any information about him."
"Today, the nurse found my number on the inside of his wrist, so the police contacted me."
"That's great!"
Eliza excitedly stretched out an arm to wrap it around Beau's neck and cried with joy. "I knew it!"
"I knew that Demarion is blessed with great luck. Everything will be fine!"
"Shall we go to the hospital now to pick him up?"
Beau nodded, picked up Eliza's coat and draped it over her. "Let's go now."
Eliza excitedly went to wash her face. She didn't even comb her hair before following Beau out of the house.
Sitting in the car, she tidied up her hair in front of the rearview mirror and took a deep breath.
"If Demarion is fine this time, I will go home and live a good life with you guys."
She no longer wanted to pretend to be Cerys or ran away from home.
"I remember what you said."
Beau held on to the steering wheel and his lips curled up into a smile.
Looking at his smiling face, Eliza's mood also became better. "I keep my words. I won't be like someone who deliberately lies."
Beau chuckled and said, "When did I lie to you?"
"When we were in Sage City."
"At that time, I wanted you to get your memories back."
"But no matter what your purpose is, the truth is that you lied."
Beau couldn't help but sigh when he saw her being so stubborn. "All right, I'm a liar."
"I did lie."
"However... "
He raised his eyebrows slightly. "Don't you think it's strange?"
"Demarion disappeared from the forest at the east side of the city. Why was he discovered by the cleaner at the west of the city?"
