Chapter 444 Why Don't You Do A DNA Test?
"Old Master."
Beau stepped forward and greeted Jory casually.
He had always been a man of no manners. Jory was used to it and did not care about how he addressed him.
On the other hand, Eliza was more polite and respectfully called him "dad".
Jory immediately smiled and replied with a kind face, "Alas, you're the obedient one."
Eliza smiled obediently and looked at Jory. "Why are you here? Are you here to see Matthew?"
Before Jory could say anything, Lucy pointed at Beau's nose and scolded, "You ungrateful person. If it weren't for you, Matthew wouldn't have agreed to the operation!"
"My poor son is still lying in the quarantine ward. I don't even know if he's dead or alive!"
"If anything really happens to him, I won't be able to live! I'll just kill myself here, so that I can accompany my son!"
Lucy's acting skills had increased greatly recently, and she could also make a fuss for no reason.
Jory glanced at Lucy and could not help but scold her. "All right, we're at a hospital! Watch out for your manner and stop making such a loud noise."
Lucy did not expect Jory to not pity her when she was crying like this. Instead, he spoke up for Beau and the others.
"Old Master, you have to be clear-minded! Beau is not a member of the Valentine family. He is just an outsider. We are your relatives! You can't get bewildered by an outsider!"
Jory had a headache because of her loud voice. He had seen this on the Internet, so he wanted to come to the hospital to ask for the details. He didn't want to uphold justice for anyone at all. Unexpectedly, when he went out, he happened to meet Gian and Lucy.
The two of them followed him without saying a word. They insisted on going to the hospital with him to see their son.
Jory showed up at the hospital, and Beau didn't ask anyone to stop him. Naturally, Gian and his wife also came in.
However, it seemed that they didn't come to see Matthew at all. They probably just wanted to make trouble for Beau and ask for some benefits.
Jory was well aware of his eldest son and eldest daughter-in-law's greed.
"Beau is not an outsider!" Jory glared at Lucy.
Lucy pointed out loudly, "He is not a member of the Valentine family, and he doesn't have the blood of the Valentine family!"
"So what? Although we are not related by blood, I have already announced to the public that Beau is my adopted son. He has the right to inherit the company like you! If you continue to make trouble like this, I will hand over all the properties of the Valentine family to Beau!"
"Dad, how can you do this?"
Gian, who had been silent for a long time, finally couldn't help but speak.
Jory was not polite to his son at all. He widened his eyes and asked, "Why can't I do this?"
"If you do this, don't you feel sorry for my mother? Because of your prejudice and negligence, Elias left at such a young age. Now that I am the only son left, you don't think much of me either. Instead, you want to give all your properties to an adopted son. Don't you find it ridiculous?"
Jory's hand, which was holding onto his crutch, trembled slightly. It was obvious that he still couldn't let go of Elias's death.
No matter how open-minded he appeared, Elias's death was still a scar in his heart and could not be easily touched.
Eliza saw that Jory was breathing heavily and his face was slightly pale. She was a little flustered.
"Stop making a fuss. Dad can't stand the stimulation."
"Hey, why are you suddenly pretending to be filial at a time like this? If you are really filial, you won't do anything to his only grandson!" Lucy's voice was sharp and harsh. "Now you actually said that dad can't stand the stimulation, you are too hypocritical!"
Eliza's face sank and a vicious aura emanated from her body.
The eyes of the bodyguards not far away lit up.
Was Mrs. Valentine going to do something?
They really wanted to see Eliza fight with others again. Perhaps they could learn a lot of practical fighting skills.
After all, Mrs. Valentine was so good at fighting.
Eliza inexplicably felt a burning sensation coming from her back as if someone had been staring at her.
But when she turned around, she found nothing.
She felt an inexplicable sense of being watched.
Eliza didn't lose her temper. She ignored the noisy Lucy and turned to look at Beau.
"Honey, dad is not feeling well. Shall we send him downstairs for a check-up?"
Beau nodded and said, "Okay, it's a good thing that Mr. John is here."
Owen was Beau's personal doctor. Naturally, he was well aware of Jory's physical condition. It wouldn't be a big deal for him to run a check-up on Jory.
As he spoke, he wanted to leave with Jory.
Gian finally couldn't hold it in and reached out to stop them.
"Beau, don't push your luck."
Beau raised his eyebrows in surprise.
"Why are you talking like this, Gian?"
"How dare you ask me that? Beau, why are you so hypocritical? If you really want the properties of the Valentine family, you can just take them. Why did you make Matthew do this?"
His righteous words sounded as if he was really defending Matthew.
Beau couldn't help but laugh.
"What are you laughing at?" Gian's face darkened.
Beau shook his head and turned to talk to Lucy. "By the way, Lucy, I forgot to tell you something."
Lucy was stunned when she heard him call her name.
"Didn't you interact with a woman named Hollie on the Internet yesterday? Did she tell you that as long as she becomes the volunteer, Matthew wouldn't have to donate his kidney?"
Lucy frowned. Hollie had indeed said something like that.
But so what?
"Did she tell you that her family lives in City X? She's twenty years old. Her father is a businessman in Krine, and his name is Gian?" Beau's tone was slow and casual.
The amount of information in his words shocked everyone present.
Especially Gian, who had been calm. However, ever since Beau mentioned Hollie, a hint of panic flashed across his face. It was not until he was completely exposed by Beau that his face turned completely pale.
Lucy's first reaction was that Beau was lying.
But when she turned and looked at Gian, the guilty expression on his face had exposed the truth.
"Gian, is what he said true?"
Lucy pounced on him and tugged at his clothes, hitting him violently.
Gian was extremely annoyed. He had come here today with another plan, but he had not found the person yet. Instead, such a big secret had been revealed. However, Lucy, the shrew, was too strong, and she insisted that he must give her an explanation today.
Gian kept saying that it was a misunderstanding. Beau sneered after hearing that.
"I remember that Hollie left a blood sample when she did the test. If you want to prove your innocence, why don't you do a DNA test?"
