Chapter 340 Side Effect Of The Medicine
Beau narrowed his eyes.
He recalled carefully that he seemed to have... blocked Braint out of instinct when Nyree came out.
Because he felt the resistance of Braint to Nyree's voice.
He was afraid that Nyree was a terrifying woman who would scare Braint, so he instinctively raised his hand to help cover his eyes.
Unexpectedly, such a small detail was seen by Nyree, and she inferred that his identity was not Cedric at all.
This woman's intelligence and her degree of danger far exceeded his imagination.
"Little grandson, come here and let grandpa have a look!"
While Beau and Nyree were confronting each other, Vincent, who was beside Nyree, smiled and gently stretched out his hand to ask him to come over.
"Let grandpa see, you're so cute!"
Braint bit his lip and looked at the man who was so thin that he looked a little scary. A vague sense of fear arose in his heart.
However, when he thought that this man was his own grandfather, and he had been locked up by this crazy woman for more than 20 years to nearly 30 years...
The little fellow hesitated for a while, but he jumped down from Beau. He ran all the way to Vincent and held his arm sensibly.
Although they had never recognized each other, perhaps in his eyes, he was not his grandson.
However, the blood was thicker than water, so he couldn't help but care about the old man.
"Such a good boy..."
Vincent smiled gently and evilly.
Breaking away from the opening in Nyree's arm, he squatted down, pinched Braint's nose gently and patted his face.
"The skin of a young child is really good."
Vincent couldn't help sighing with emotion. He rolled up his sleeves and said, "Look at my skin."
The man rolled up his sleeves and Beau saw that there were pinholes all over his arm.
There were holes left in the blood vessels by all kinds of needles.
It was not an exaggeration to call it a sieve-like arm.
One could tell that for the past twenty years, this man had never stopped being pricked.
Beau looked at the numerous tiny wounds on the man's skinny arm and a trace of heartache flashed across his eyes.
The days here were really too hard even for a man.
Without freedom, he couldn't die nor live like a normal human...
Braint looked at his grandfather's arm and could not help biting his lips. "You're too thin."
"You can eat more meat to gain weight."
Vincent narrowed his eyes, and there was a bloodthirsty light in his eyes. "Yes, just eat more meat and get fatter."
"Do you think eating a child's meat can make me fatter?"
What the man said made Braint open his eyes wide in an instant. Before he could react, Vincent had grabbed Braint's neck with his hands.
"You are so tender and delicate. I will grow a lot of meat, won't I?"
"If I eat you, can my skin be as smooth and delicate as yours?"
The more he talked, the crazier he became. His eyes were bloodthirsty and abnormal.
Beau was shocked. He rushed forward and tried to pull Vincent's hand away, but was interrupted by Nyree.
She frowned and lowered her voice.
"He's like this when he was sick. Don't touch him. When his excitement is gone, he will be fine."
Beau frowned and looked at Braint, whose face had turned purple. He rushed up and grabbed Vincent's arm tightly. "He's your grandson!"
"Even if he's not your grandson, you can't kill him, let alone a five-year-old child!"
"Do you have a conscience?"
The man's words made Vincent's hand stop.
Beau took advantage of this moment when he was in a daze to quickly bring Braint over and hold him tightly in his arms. "Are you alright?"
"Cough! Cough! Cough!"
"I'm fine."
Braint was held in Beau's arms and kept coughing.
"Food..."
"My food..."
"My lunch!"
Vincent stood there, staring at his hands with his lips constantly muttering, "My lunch was prepared just now, how come it's gone?"
"Someone stole my food."
"Someone doesn't allow me to eat!"
"It's you!"
He suddenly raised his head and his gaze at Beau was like like a knife stabbing at him. "It's all your fault!"
"You took my food away and didn't give me lunch. You don't want me to grow taller, don't want me to become stronger!"
"You are a bad guy!"
As he spoke, he lifted his leg and charged in Beau's direction.
Luckily, Nyree pulled him back in time.
The woman frowned and glanced at Vincent. "Didn't I tell you?"
"If you want to eat meat in the future, I'll arrange for you. No hunting outside!"
"This is the first time. If I find out that you have done such a thing for the second time, I will not let you go!"
Her words were fierce and harsh.
Vincent was like a child who had done something wrong. He lowered his head sadly and leaned his head on Nyree's shoulder. "I'm so afraid..."
Nyree sighed and gently reached out to rub his head. "It's okay."
"Do you remember what I said?"
The man nodded, like an elementary school student answering a question in class. "I've got it all in mind!"
"Good boy."
Nyree sighed and deceived Vincent into getting back to the bed to lie down.
Then she pressed the switch on the wall.
The huge glass barrier fell down and divided the room into two spaces.
After everything was done, she wearily leaned on the big executive chair beside her. She glanced at Beau and said, "You saw it?"
Beau nodded.
He had learned a lot.
He had never seen a living person who would want to kill a child.
What's more, this child was his grandson.
"He has been like this since he woke up last year."
"I can only lock him inside."
"Otherwise, he will hurt others."
Beau was puzzled.
"Why did he become like this?"
"Probably the side effect of the medicine."
Nyree did not hide anything from Beau.
Perhaps, it was because she knew that she could not hide it from him.
She sighed. "I gave him my own developed medicine and made him forget the past and start a new relationship again."
"After a period, I found that he not only did not forget the past, but also hated me more."
"In a fit of anger, I researched on the drug he was drugged with now."
"But it seems that there is no way to revert him back."
