Chapter 713 It's All a Lie
Eliza quickly arrived at the search and rescue site. She didn't know that her children had returned to the country and were secretly investigating the clues for her. She didn't know about the communication between her best friend and Julian either. She was completely focused on Beau's whereabouts.
"How did it go? Have you found Beau?"
As soon as Eliza arrived, she grabbed Noah and asked.
When Noah saw her, he couldn't wait to kneel down and kowtow.
"Soon, we'll definitely find him soon!" said Noah.
Eliza's expression changed and she almost lost her balance. She nearly fainted but was being helped up by someone beside her.
"Mrs. Valentine, don't be discouraged. Mr. Lopez is here. With his help, we will definitely be able to find Mr. Valentine!"
The members of the search and rescue team couldn't stand it anymore and tried to comfort her.
They had seen Eliza's performance in the past two days. They didn't expect the big star to be able to do this. Her relationship with Beau must be very good. It wasn't like what the netizens on the Internet said!
Eliza didn't even manage to put on a hypocritical and polite smile. She only expressed her gratitude in a hoarse voice.
Everyone could understand her and did not say much. They took turns searching for Beau, trying to find him as far as possible.
Eliza lowered her eyes and looked at the ground.
The sun above their heads was scorching the earth. Beau had been missing for more than 48 hours.
Even for normal people, if they didn't eat or drink for forty-eight hours, something might happen, not to mention that Beau was injured, and he fell from such a high place.
Just thinking of that possibility made Eliza's entire body go cold. She couldn't even say a single word.
At this moment, there was a sudden uproar in the rescue team.
During this period of time, Eliza had already experienced too many scenes that had changed from anticipation to disappointment. At this moment, she didn't have much strength to investigate.
She was afraid that she would be disappointed again.
But this time, it was Sawyer who walked in front of her. His eyes were red and moist, and he couldn't say a word.
Eliza paused for a moment.
She looked at Sawyer and asked him in silence.
Sawyer gritted his teeth and said in a hoarse voice, "We found... found him."
Eliza's eyes lit up and she propped herself up from the ground. The person next to her hurriedly went to help her.
"Did you really find him? How's Beau? Is he injured? Where's the medical team? Why haven't they gone to treat Beau yet?"
Sawyer was speechless, and his tears had already flowed down first.
Noah shook his head hard when he saw this.
"No, it's impossible. How could something happen to Beau?"
Noah pushed everyone away and ran to the crowded place.
A moment later, a miserable howl came from the bottom of the cliff, followed by Noah's painful voice.
There were people crying one after another at the scene. Many of the people who came to search and rescue were Beau's men who were always grateful to him.
Now that their savor was dead. How could they not be sad?
Sawyer finally regained his voice. He looked at Eliza, who was shaking her head and retreating, and said in a choked voice, "You... you should go and see him. Take it as sending him off."
Eliza looked at Sawyer just like that, and her tears fell silently.
"No, you're lying to me," she said, but her voice was gone.
Sawyer didn't hear what she said, but he saw her mouth clearly. He couldn't help but step forward and pat her on the back.
"You'll know if I'm lying or not by going up and taking a look yourself."
Eliza didn't listen to him at all. She pushed him away and staggered forward.
There was a stretcher on the ground in the middle of the crowd.
There was a corpse on the stretcher.
His face was already beyond recognition. He should have fallen from a high place and had been scratched by branches, and then been washed away by the waterfall, causing his face to be damaged.
However, his height and figure, as well as the clothes he was wearing, were exactly the same as Beau's.
Eliza threw herself over and trembled all over. She slowly flipped open the collar of the shirt that the corpse was wearing and saw a dark embroidery of the moon.
She trembled all over and let go of her hand in fear.
"No, it's impossible. It can't be."
How could it be him?
They had made a deal that they would be with each other for the rest of their lives. How could he leave her alone?
He said that he would protect her well. How could he leave her alone to face all kinds of wolves in the world?
"You didn't keep your promise." Eliza clenched her fists and wanted to punch him twice.
She wanted to wake him up and make him speak.
He had to explain to her that all of this was a prank.
He was so smart. How could he not have predicted Layman's revenge? How could he not have noticed Layman's tailing and be knocked down the cliff so easily?
"Liar, these are all lies."
Eliza came back to her senses and suddenly took off the shirt of the corpse in front of everyone.
Sawyer immediately rushed over and grabbed Eliza.
"Eliza, what are you doing? Beau is already dead. Don't..."
"That's not him!" Eliza suddenly shouted.
Sawyer was stunned, and after a while, he recovered.
He ordered his men to carry the body away.
As he spoke, he said to Eliza, "I know you don't want to believe it. However, this is the truth. We've searched through all of the rivers and tunnels nearby, as well as the mountain valleys nearby. We only managed to find such a corpse."
"His clothes and the characteristics of death, and even his time of death, match each other!"
"Other than Beau, how could there be any other corpses here? Do you think that Beau found a substitute to lie to you and made a shocking joke with all of us?"
Hearing Sawyer's words, some people, who had some hope in their hearts, immediately lowered their heads.
"Shut up!" Eliza refused to listen to him. She pointed at Noah and said, "You go and stop them! Stop them!"
"That's not Beau. There's a red mole on Beau's left shoulder blade, but he doesn't have it at all!"
"That's not him! It's really not him!"
Hearing Eliza's words, Noah, who was about to completely collapse, suddenly got up and stumbled to the rescue team.
He ran to the stretcher and took off the corpse's shirt.
"No, there is really no red mole."
"Mrs. Valentine, this..."
Eliza also shook off Sawyer and ran up. When she saw it clearly, she immediately cried and laughed.
It wasn't him. It really wasn't him!
Where did Beau go?
If someone else had fallen off the cliff and pretended to be Beau on purpose, then where had the real Beau gone?
Was he still alive? Maybe he was not injured at all. He just hid in the dark and planned to catch those who had tried to frame him in one fell swoop!
Sawyer frowned slightly. Seeing that the scene was in a mess, he finally couldn't help stepping forward.
"Have you had enough?"
The scene was silent, and only Eliza's tears and laughter remained.
Sawyer strode forward and said, "I have never known that Beau has a red mole on him. Is it because of your hysteria that you made up this lie? If he is still alive, how could he not contact you and let you look for him in such a way for such a long time? Take a look at yourself now!"
Eliza suddenly raised her head and looked at Sawyer.
"How can you be so sure that Beau is dead? Sawyer, what on earth do you want?"
