Chapter 329 That Guide
Sitting on the hospital bed, Demarion looked at the smiling woman in a white gown in front of him. He was in a cold sweat.
Although he didn't see whether the "Dr. James" in the man's mouth was the one in front of him before he passed out, such a name already made him a little scared.
Demarion clearly remembered that someone had pierced a needle into his arm from behind.
After that, he couldn't remember anything.
It was Dr. James who injected him and made him pass out.
Now that he was cured, it was also Dr. James who would take him away.
He bit his lip and looked up at Beau and Eliza in front of him, with a hint of pleading in his eyes. "Can I not go with her?"
"No, you can't."
As soon as Demarion finished speaking, Leah smiled. Her long and narrow eyes looked at Demarion's face. "Your parents have already signed an agreement with me."
"After you wake up, you must leave with me."
After that, Leah looked at the time, "It's already past four o'clock in the afternoon, it's too late now."
She stood up and said, "You can spend the last night together and pack up the things for Demarion."
"I'll take him with me tomorrow morning."
After that, she even threw Beau a flirtatious glance. "Although the agreement has stated that you will not be able to meet Demarion in a year's time."
"But..."
She gave Beau an ambiguous look. "If you're okay with that, I'll still send you a message to notify you about Demarion's situation from time to time."
After that, she turned around and left gracefully.
Eliza stood where she was and watched her back as she left. Finally, she raised her head and looked at Beau standing beside her. "What should we do?"
Could they hide Demarion at a place where no one could find him within a night?
Beau probably saw through Eliza's thoughts and sighed. He turned to her and shook his head silently. "It won't work."
"Do you think Leah is really alone in Krine that she could act this arrogantly?"
Eliza bit her lips, but before she could open her mouth, Demarion on the bed sighed. "She has an accomplice."
The little fellow frowned and looked at Eliza. "Mommy, can you find me a pen and paper?"
Eliza did not know what he wanted to do, but Demarion had been unconscious for so long, and the first thing he requested after he woke up was paper and pen. She would definitely satisfy him.
She opened the door and went outside. She found a nurse and asked for paper and a pen. Then she took them to the ward and handed them to Demarion.
Demarion put the paper on his knees and leaned against the bed. He frowned, recalling and drawing.
Finally, he had drawn a man's face on the paper. "That's the man."
He carefully passed the painting to Beau. "This man was the last person I saw before I fainted."
"He pressed me to the ground at that time and called someone named Dr. James, saying that he had caught me."
The little boy scratched his head in confusion. "I don't know if the Dr. James he called is this Dr. James. I have never seen what Dr. James looks like, but I remember what this person looks like."
Beau frowned as he took the piece of paper from Demarion.
Eliza also hurriedly leaned closer to check.
When the couple saw the face of the man on the paper, they both froze at the same time.
Beau and Eliza knew this man.
And they had a deep impression of him.
The man was none other than the so-called local guide who was sent by Noah to take Beau into the forest that day.
"This man..."
Eliza knitted her brows.
She clearly remembered that it was this guide who brought Beau into the forest.
However, when she entered the forest with Noah, the only person she saw was Beau.
Beau looked at the paper and frowned.
He still remembered this guide.
On that day, as soon as he saw Elias, he could not wait to rush up with a knife and wanted to kill Elias.
Later on, because he was no match for Elias, he didn't even get close to him.
At that time, he was talking about the three guides who were killed. They were his brothers who grew up together with him, and he wanted to avenge them.
Beau frowned, his mind in a whirl.
Demarion wouldn't lie to him.
If Demarion was telling the truth, then this so-called guide should not be a local, but a person from the K group.
Since he was from the K Group, then the three brothers he grew up together... should not be locals in Krine too.
Thus...
He squinted his eyes.
Back then, Elias should have known that these three people were from the K Group, which was why he wanted to kill them.
Otherwise, he would not have killed people so easily.
Although Elias was not a good person, he wasn't bad enough to kill innocent people.
It should be because of the appearance of the people from the K Group that he felt he had no way out. In the end, he chose to kidnap Braint and Demarion, forcing Beau to meet him and carry out the confrontation he was most looking forward to in his life.
Perhaps, from the very beginning, Elias knew all of this, but he didn't say anything.
He held the piece of paper in his hand tightly, and his eyes were as complicated as his mood.
At this moment, Noah pushed open the door and came in. "Mr. Valentine, I've arranged everything you asked me to."
After saying that, seeing that Beau did not respond to him, Noah frowned and came over. He looked up at the piece of paper in Beau's hand and asked, "Isn't that the guide I found before?"
Beau frowned and looked at him indifferently. "Where did you find him?"
"In the market in the west of the city."
Noah frowned. "This person lives in the west of the city. It's said that he grew up in a suburb in the east of the city. His brothers were very familiar with the forest in the east of the city, just like him."
"But they all lived in the west side of the city because of the relocation problem."
After that, Noah frowned and sighed. "He is really mean. He was the one who led us there. We had an accident in the forest of the east side of the city, but he went back to the west side of the city by himself."
"Perhaps he didn't think he helped us much. He didn't even ask for a reward."
Hearing Noah's words, Beau and Eliza froze.
The couple looked at each other. Finally, Beau furrowed his brows and fixed his gaze on Noah's face. "Did you say that he lives on the west side of the city?"
Noah nodded.
"He returned to the west of the city on his own on that afternoon when we got into the accident?"
"That's right."
Noah nodded in confusion. He was rather baffled by Beau's question.
"I saw it in the surveillance video. He also bought a pile of garbage and dragged the trash can back to the west of the city."
