Chapter 431 Was It Matthew?
Matthew was deeply hurt.
When Eliza arrived at the hospital with the others, she saw Matthew, who was depressed.
"What happened to him?"
Eliza put down her bag and looked at Matthew. His resentment was so heavy that it was hard to not notice him.
Beau was very dissatisfied. He raised his injured hand in front of Eliza.
"You only care about others. Why don't you ask about your husband's injury first?"
Seeing this, Eliza quickly comforted him. "I was wrong, I was wrong."
"Why are you injured? How's your injury? Is it serious?"
The corners of Mr. Valentine's lips curled up slightly. When he saw that Eliza's attention had been diverted to him, he put his hand behind his back proudly.
"It's nothing. It's just a minor injury."
Eliza quickly went forward and grabbed his hand. She carefully looked at the gauze with faint bloodstains and frowned very tightly.
"It's not a small injury. I think it's very serious. It's bleeding!"
Seeing that she was truly worried, Beau's heart softened.
"It's really not serious, just a little scratch. It's still bleeding. If you don't believe me, you can ask Braint."
"Mommy, Daddy is lying."
Braint was very honest. He had exposed Beau's lie the moment he arrived.
Beau glared at Braint.
Why doesn't he know how to cooperate?
Suddenly, someone pinched Beau's face.
It was Eliza.
She pinched his face in a childish manner and said, "Beau, you've done well. How dare you lie to me?"
Beau stared at Eliza's hand with unclear meaning. He thought that Eliza had become bolder and bolder recently. She even dared to pinch his face in public. It seemed that he had spoiled her.
Eliza felt guilty under Beau's gaze and quickly withdrew her hand.
"What... What are you looking at? I'm your wife. Can't I pinch your face?"
Beau's aura dissipated as he replied with a smile, "You can pinch it as you like."
Eliza snorted and looked at Braint. "Baby, tell mommy, how is Daddy's injury?"
"There's such a long cut in his palm."
Braint gestured, and his tone was very light. "It's quite deep. Owen said that it will take a week to form a scar."
Eliza was very distressed and glared angrily at Beau.
"Why don't you know how to protect yourself? With so many people around you, are they all decorations? Matthew is not injured, but you hurt yourself!"
Matthew, who was sighing on the side, asked, "?"
They showed off their love in front of him, but now she blame him for not being hurt?
A man without a wife has to suffer this kind of grievance. Don't they think they're bullying him too much?
"Aunt, uncle was injured because he saved me. Don't blame him."
Matthew was so angry that he didn't even dare to say a word.
His aunt had been tough recently, and his legs were injured. He was no match for her in a fight.
Eliza glared at him again. "It's all your fault!"
Matthew, "What?"
"If it weren't for the fact that you mistook the villain for Roseane and caused her to be disappointed in you, you wouldn't have divorced at all!"
"If you don't divorce, Gellert won't be able to find an opportunity to sneak in."
"Without Gellert acting evil, Roseane wouldn't have experienced this, and Mr. Valentine wouldn't have been injured!"
"Do you think it's all your fault?"
Eliza bombarded Matthew as if she was scolding him, making him unable to lift his head.
"It's my fault."
"I failed Roseane and uncle."
"I'm a sinner. No wonder Roseane ignored me and cared about that b*stard Gellert!"
Eliza raised her eyebrows. She didn't expect him to admit his mistake so quickly.
Wasn't Matthew very arrogant in the past?
Beau pulled Eliza's hand and gave her a look.
Eliza understood. She didn't continue to blame Matthew and only remembered to ask about what had just happened after paying attention to Beau's hand.
"Why did the plan suddenly change? Didn't we agree to stall for time and expose the location after the operation ended?"
Beau told her everything that had happened before, including the betrayal of the bodyguard.
"How could Gellert be so insane as to kidnap a child as a threat!"
"Then what should we do? Should we just let it go?"
Although the bodyguard was detestable, the three-year-old boy was innocent.
Beau had sent someone to save the child a long time ago. There was about to be news soon, so he quickly comforted Eliza.
Only when she heard that someone was going to save the child did Eliza relax.
"To prevent Gellert from causing us trouble again, we've planned to the operation earlier. The operation will begin in about two hours. Do you want to go down and see Roseane and her mother?"
Eliza nodded. Seeing that Matthew was a little pitiful, she said, "Then you stay here to accompany him. I'll go find Roseane myself."
Beau shook his head. "Let's go together."
"But..."
"He deserves it. I have to let him have a taste of this consequence."
Beau left these words behind mercilessly and went downstairs with Eliza and the other children.
On the way down, she still remembered to ask, "Where's Graciana?"
"Julian asked her to leave with him."
There was also a problem with their interaction. If they didn't communicate well, they would probably become a pair of resentful couple again.
However, Eliza had been too busy to take care of them recently. She'd better wait until Roseane's matter was over.
"Hey, why am I surrounded by a group of little fools?"
Eliza sighed with emotion. It was better for her and Beau.
They understood each other and accepted each other.
Hearing her words, Beau couldn't help but laugh.
Demarion said, "Mommy, you and daddy have experienced a lot before you got together."
Eliza looked down at her baby with a solemn expression.
Indeed, she and Beau had missed out on each other for five years before they got together.
While they were talking, they had arrived at Mariam's ward.
Eliza stepped forward and knocked on the door. As soon as Roseane saw her, she couldn't help but burst into tears in her arms.
"Eliza, I..."
"All right, all right. Don't be sad. Let's talk somewhere else."
She asked Beau to stay in the ward to greet Mariam, while Eliza took Roseane to the corridor to talk alone.
The sound insulation in the ward was very good. If they weren't loud, no one in the ward could hear them.
"Gellert is not a good person."
Eliza lovingly wiped away Roseane's tears. "I know."
"As soon as I turned on my new phone, Gellert called me and asked me where I am."
"Now I understand. Is he looking for someone to stop my mother's operation?"
In the face of Roseane's question, Eliza couldn't bear to tell her the answer for a moment.
Tears kept falling from Roseane's eyes. She only managed to control her emotions after crying for a while.
"There's one more thing. Can you tell me if the volunteer who is going to donate kidney to my mother is Matthew?"
Eliza, "..."
How did Roseane know? Did someone tell her the truth?
A hint of panic flashed through Eliza's eyes. While she was still hesitating if she should tell Roseane the truth, footsteps rang out from the corridor of the hospital along with a few familiar cries.
Eliza had a bad feeling.
