Chapter 457 Ignore Him
After receiving the gifts from the three little kids, Eliza returned home to make a delicious meal for them in return.
They ate deliciously, but Mr. Valentine didn't eat much. He only looked at Eliza with a pair of affectionate eyes, which made her feel embarrassed.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
Beau smiled and whispered in her ear, "Didn't you say that you want to eat the food I make for you?"
She didn't let him cook in the end. Did she feel sorry for him?
Eliza rolled her eyes at him. What she had said before was just an oath of sovereignty. She didn't really want him to cook.
After eating and drinking, Graciana went back home. The three little kids also went back to their rooms and did not interrupt their conversation.
Eliza didn't joke with him and looked at him seriously. "You look as if something is on your mind ever since this afternoon when you came back to look for me. Did something happen?"
Beau's eyebrows twitched. He thought he had concealed it well, but she managed to see through it.
He could not help but let out a long sigh. He held her in his arms before explaining to her.
"Gellert has escaped."
Eliza was shocked. "He escaped? He hasn't been captured?"
Beau shook his head. That guy had a way to escape, but we still couldn't find him.
"I sent someone to check on Gellert and found that his background was a little rough, and it had something to do with Nyree."
Beau and Eliza explained that Gellert was an illegitimate child. There was also a reason why he ended up in an orphanage.
Sharif was a playboy when he was young. He also had a child with a nanny at home, which was Gellert.
At that time, Mrs. Brown had not been able to get pregnant. Later on, she fell ill. She was afraid that Gellert's biological mother would be promoted as she gave birth to him, so she secretly sent Gellert away. Unfortunately, Mrs. Brown was died on the operating table after the operation. Her previous plan was in vain.

Eliza sighed. "So Gellert is also an illegitimate child. No wonder he came to look for Hollie."
She didn't look down on the illegitimate child. After all, no one could choose to be born.
However, it would not make sense if someone tried to harm another person because he was born into a bad family.
Beau's eyes were cold. "It wasn't easy for Gellert to live overseas. Later, people from K laboratory came to look for him and made him Nyree's dealer. He helped her sell those harmful drugs."
Gellert earned the first bucket of gold by selling medicine. Later, he studied abroad and made himself an elite Chinese medicine dealer. His father thought highly of him, so he came back to his hometown to develop.
"Then is he serious about Roseane?" This was still what Eliza cared about.
Beau held her tightly. After a moment of silence, he said, "Maybe it's real, or maybe it's fake. Who knows?"
Perhaps it was because Gellert had suffered too much contempt and suffering in his life that he could not forget Roseane's good deeds and eventually became his obsession.
Or perhaps, Roseane was just a pawn used by Gellert. Gellert's ultimate goal was to deal with Beau.
"Then should we tell Roseane about these things?" Eliza looked up at Beau.
"I'm going to the hospital to see Matthew. Do you want to go with me?"
"Okay!"
Both of them were very proactive and soon arrived at the hospital.
Fortunately, they got another piece of good news. Mariam's condition gradually stabilized. She had been transferred out of the quarantine ward and arranged by Matthew to the VIP ward next door.
Eliza and Beau went to visit Mariam first. After receiving the family's gratitude, they helped arrange a nurse and bodyguard, then they went to the next door to look for Matthew.
After the operation, Matthew seemed to have grown up overnight and matured completely.
After reading the documents brought by Bates, he took a pen and signed his name. When he looked up, he saw Beau and Eliza.
"Uncle, aunt, why are you free to come over?"
Matthew was very surprised and gave them a bright smile.
She still remembered that Matthew used to be a gloomy person. Most of his smiles were cold and mocking. How could he smile so brightly?
Eliza sighed in her heart. With the nourishment of love, Matthew could be considered a normal person.
Beau pulled out a chair for Eliza and let her sit down before answering Matthew.
"I'm here to see you. How do you feel?"
"I'm fine! The doctor asked me 800 times a day. In fact, I'm fine. I can even go to work now!"
Eliza couldn't help but laugh. "Come on, even if your wound recovers from the operation, you still have to take good care of your legs. Do you really want to become disabled and let Roseane take care of you?"
Matthew touched his head and smiled a little embarrassedly.
"He doesn't want to leave the hospital and go back to work. I think he wants to leave the hospital early to hold a wedding with Roseane."
Beau's lips curled into a smile. His tone was faint, but there was a hint of teasing in his eyes.
Eliza was surprised. "Have you already chosen a good day?"
"I chose two. One is half a month from now, and the other is a month from now. However, Roseane doesn't agree."
"Why didn't she agree?" Eliza asked in confusion. Could it be that Roseane had gone back on her word?
Just as Matthew was about to complain, Roseane walked in from the outside and answered in a hurry, "It's too rush and a little inappropriate."
Although Mariam's operation was successful, she still had to stay in the hospital to recuperate. There were still three months to go before the observation.
Besides, Matthew's health had to be taken good care of. Roseane did not want any accidents to happen to the two closest people because of a wedding.
"When were we ever in a hurry? My leg will recover in a month! Mom doesn't need to show up all the time. After our wedding, we can send her back to the hospital. I'll ask a medical team to follow her. I won't let anything happen to her!"
Roseane frowned slightly. "There are so many things to prepare for the wedding, and you're not willing to let others do it. How can you recuperate then?"
"But..." An undue delay may bring trouble!
He wanted to hold the wedding with Roseane first, and then announce to the whole world that he and Roseane were officially together.
In this way, there would be no worries.
"No buts!" Roseane raised her eyebrows and put her hands on her hips, directly interrupting Matthew's words.
Matthew instantly became weak. He lowered his head and said nothing.
Eliza and Beau looked at each other and felt that their roles seemed to have changed. It was quite interesting.
"Just follow Roseane's opinion." Beau's expression was serious. "I came to look for you today because I have something else to tell you."
Roseane and Matthew both turned to look at Beau.
Beau didn't beat around the bush. He told them everything about Gellert and then asked them what they thought.
Roseane's expression was complicated, but she wasn't softhearted because of Gellert's background.
"There's nothing between me and Gellert. I don't want to see him again in the future. If he doesn't provoke me, I'll just ignore him."
