Chapter Nineteenth
“Iguro, is a legend we all got to hear of. This world we live in presently was created by that monster, he had no family and lives by himself, nobody knows how he got to exist and nobody outside this world knows of the existence of this world. Iguro is a mystery people have died to unravel and we're all living in that mystery.
That's all I know about Iguro, all I know is no one gets to disobey Iguro and lives and the fear he cultivated had gotten to everyone that they just can't go out of their way and do things that the monster defies.
And daring to run away is the worst of all crimes, he would hunt you down and kill all of your clan and anyone you have any ounce of emotion for would be taken to the ends of the earth with you. That's how the monster had cultivated his fortress and that's how he's been living as a God that no one can defy.”
He said and sighed “there's no way out of this hell we just found ourselves, and wiping out of that clan had no reason, it was just for his leisure and that's how he does. No one knows how he runs this whole world, that's why everything is a mystery to even us who have taken so long here.
And about your friend you guys came together, I didn't get to find any information on her, but I'm sure she's alive, he doesn't kill people inside this place anyhow he only uses us as slaves. And uses us as weapons.” The captain said, “but if everything is a mystery, there should be an answer, so no one has the balls to get to the bottom of this whole thing!” I said, and he looked at me with a disappointed gaze “didn't you hear what I just said!? We're all stuck in this loop together and we can't get out, everyone is scared and. Working together is out of the question for now, because no one will be able to work with you against that monster. We all are scared of what he could do. There are even rumors that he isn't a Lycan and he only wields the greatest powers there ever is one no one in the world has ever experienced.” Delta, the captain said, “ thank you.” I said, as I left for my quarters.
Days went by and nothing happened, everything went exactly the way it used to, weeks came and nothing changed. Until a certain day, there was an announcement for everyone to gather together in the main hall.
And I could hear everyone talking about it that it was the first time something of its kind was going to happen, and everyone was scared. It's possible someone had broken the rules and was going to be punished.
I went to Delta, “Captain, do you have any idea what's happening?” I asked, “Not at all, I heard rumors that someone had broken the rules, no one knows what Iguro is going to do, but it's the first of its kind for my generation, I don't know what punishment or what he's going to do to the person now, all we can do is pray for the person so he won't kill the person.” He said, as I accompanied him to the hall, the Captain and I have gotten closer over the past few days, I guess because we shared the same ideologies of getting out of this mess or getting hold and dealing with Iguro, that has brought us closer alot. We got to the hall and everyone was standing waiting for the god as they would always call him to come and tell the purpose why everyone was there.
We really stood and waited for thirty minutes, but he didn't show any sign of showing up and the hall was getting rowdy until suddenly someone appeared on his chair, no one saw how he got there all we all saw was him sitting like a deadly killer with a vicious look on his face, I was really really scared, seeing him at that range after what I had heard made my heart beat very fast, I wasn't sure others felt the same way but I couldn't even move my limbs with the intensity I got from him.
The feeling made me really stuck and I couldn't imagine if he was beside me I would just be stuck without knowing what to say or do. And at that moment I could feel what the captains faced while reporting to him, they must not say anything wrong or they would have died, the tension alone could kill them, and that made everything seem overly crazy to deal with.
“I called you all here, cause I have an announcement to make. For the past thirty five years I have ruled over this world as I would like to call it with my wit, power and no one has dared challenge my authority and I'm sure no one would. This is the first time I would do something for myself, I would be hosting the first party in this world to determine my bride, it's time for your god to have an offspring who would continue in my legacy in case the unexpected happens.” He said, and it made everyone feel lighter, and everyone felt calm about what he had said, so many people had this calm look on their faces, different from that of fear they had in the first place, and I didn't know why?
But I doubted it, I knew he had something else planned. My mind never lied to me and it was telling me Iguro had something else planned but I couldn't understand why I kept on feeling that way. “You all should take a rest. The ceremony will take place in three days' time. I declare tomorrow a free day for everyone to prepare for the upcoming ceremony. And until after the wedding the other units apart from the ones involved in the preparation would not have to work.”
