Chapter Twenty-two
I saw Brielle dressed up like a bride and led out in the open, I thought I could take it, but suddenly my heart started racing so fast.
I could see the tears welling up in her eyes, if I didn't know how hurtful it was I would have called her the Queen of tears, she looked at me, with those eyes and I couldn't take my eyes off her, I had to do something to save her, I brought her here, and now she's my property, even if this bloody demon marries her, he's going to kill her for defiling him, I didn't know how it happened but my intuition never failed me, if I tried to save her now, I would only cause our death I had to wait, and make sure I end him, so I can get over back to her without pain.
“I'm sorry,” I said softly as they continued a fake procession while I acted like I didn't care. But why was he after me? The question lingered in my mind, maybe he was sent to deal with me by someone he worked for. That's the most suitable explanation for what I have achieved all my life. That was the only suitable explanation I could give.
After several hours of watching Iguro do whatever he liked, we all left and everyone ended the night with more fear towards Iguro and somehow respect for me. I felt it was because of the way I stood up without fear not knowing I was almost shitting my pants while standing. “You really are bold, I admire your courage.” One said, “Did you see how he stood up to Iguro, I really like him.” Another said, while I walked past them, I didn't say a thing while I went to meet the captain in secret. “Hey captain,” I said, and he looked back at me and gave me a hug, “what was that for?” I said laughing, “I never thought you could be that strong and bold.” He said, and I laughed “You wouldn't want to know what I used to be.” I said and we both laughed it out.
“I have a plan of making Iguro self sacrifice himself and defeat him.” I said, and he looked at me surprised, “Tell me about it.” He said.
And I whispered it into his ears, “Do you really think it would work? He isn't a normal person,” he said, “yes I know he isn't and that's why it's the perfect plan, he's not the real boss, he's a mere puppet, once we remove the cast of the puppet, the real boss wouldn't have a choice but to show himself.” I said, “Yes that's true, so what we're after now is to unveil who the real boss is.” he said.
“Yes that's right.” I replied, “But if that's how it is then, we can't work alone we need more people on our side.” He said, “Yes we do, and the only way we can do that is to show them he has a weakness we can exploit. Right now everyone thinks he has everything under control but once we show he can lose control, we'll be in control. A smooth system is always too hard to break down, but a disorganized system is easier to penetrate. All we have to do is start disorganizing this system of fear he's created.” I said, “this is making a lot of sense, so what do we do now?” he asked, “The first step is to create chaos in the system in the units, normally if two people were fighting he would kill them all but if all the units were fighting he'd have no choice but to have to cry out for them to stop, he just can't kill off everyone that he had nurtured to be his slave up until today.” I said, and I saw the grin on his face, “so how do we start it? What exactly should we do to start these fights.”
He asked, “In total, we have units, all led by the captains, each unit gets their supplies through the inventory unit, that distributes uniformly, what exactly is needed, to other departments or units, including food. All grains and food to be made are kept in the storehouse in the inventory unit, and somehow, the key is kept with the guard who sleeps in the eleventh room of their own room.” I said, “Wait wait, how do you know all these? Have you been planning this since you got here? “ He asked, “Unfortunately no, I've just been observing really closely. The best and first chaos in a place like this is food, what if the storehouse went ablaze suddenly and everyone was short on food.” I said.
“but if we did that we would be affected, he said, and that's why we would steal and keep some food in the far off bushes in the tunnel that leads to our unit.” I said, “tunnels? When and where.” He asked, don't worry, let's just decide when we'll start, and let's work it out. “ But let's get on to how we get the guy with the keys, he's not friends with any of us.” He said, “Yes, but nobody denies friendship from the guy with the booze, this is where beer comes in, I suddenly happen to have noticed he likes taking beer so much it's scary, and that's why we have to make sure he takes some with us, so we'll become his friends steal the key and start what we are there for.” I said, “but do you know there are holes in your plans?” He said, “yes I know holes exist for unpredictable situations, without holes how do we fit in the unpredictable? Tell me. “You really are a smart guy, so let's give it a try and make Iguro pay for punishing us so dearly.” He said and we both smiled.
