Chapter Twenty-Four

Everyone had been summoned to come to the hall, it was sudden but I was sort of expecting it to happen earlier, possibly the boss had shown himself or there was going to be a possible setback in our plans.

The puppet might have his own master plan but nobody knows... what it was, but either way, we were going to gather there and wait for him to announce what he had in mind, I knew it wasn't going to be difficult, for him to announce it, but it was going to be a special episode of the stupid wave, we got there and I saw him sitting on that chair, but his look had changed, he had lower dominance, when hunger set in people became a little more fearless, and the anger turned into pain that they had to set free to be able to live.

That was what I was waiting for. I knew sooner or later he was going to get it, but by then it would be too late for him or his boss, and my girl would be back to me. I just figured out I was in love with her, a night wouldn't pass by without me thinking of how to save her.

She's there and I kind of miss seeing her face. Seeing that idiot trying to touch her makes me feel angry, I really hate that fact. Let's get this over with. “I called you all here to address the recent happenings, of how food has been scarce and hunger is really spreading throughout, I want you to exercise patience….”

But he couldn't finish everything he was saying when for the first time someone interrupted him, “Didn't you call yourself god? Would God allow his subordinates to suffer this way? If you really are god then order our crops to grow.

And order our horses to walk.” And everyone seemed to support him.” The poor boy couldn't say anything and just waited for the commotion to die down, nobody feared him, hunger really cleared away the fears in their eyes, and it was time for my third plan. Everything was set in motion already all I needed was to implement it and everything would work out for me without me having to say too much. This was the utmost plan for me, and luck was on my side.

After he saw that he couldn't resolve it, he asked everyone to leave and everyone did so without waiting for a second command. My plan was working very well, it was perfect, hunger was going to make everything go smoothly and it was.

Now I had a rumor to spread, after we left, I went to meet the captain and told him how I needed him to help me spread a rumor. And that would be our killer strategy, “I never doubted you even for a second, he said, let's begin so what's the rumor you want me to spread? I went closer to him and whispered it into his ears. “Wow!! That's so clever.” I think this will cause the greatest chaos and we both laughed, and we planted the rumor as I had planned and we went to sleep.

It funny how rumor, spread so fast, and in the morning the unthinkable had happened, the castle that he cherished so much, was all broken up and it seemed a group had done that much damage to it, I was sure he was all riled up in fear, and he would be sure to experience more.

“He has a ton of food reserves and the money kept locked up in that castle that could last everyone for a year.” This rumor had a lot of substance, it shows how far a hungry man would go just to get food. I loved the fact that I got them riled up and it has stirred up this trouble. It's only a matter of time before I uncover who the real devil is.

Now all I had to do was stir them up more, and get them more riled up as food was almost finished, and they could barely last for three days. But luck had me, everything worked faster than I had expected, I woke up to see him beaten to a pulp outside of the castle, the chain of command was broken but he wasn't dead.

But why did they release him and not kill him, I thought they would kill him, I guess they still had enough reserves left, that would end once everything in the store was finished, and maybe the boss would have shown his face by then.

I guess all that remained was for me to get my girl away from his grasps, and now I'd done what a real villain would do, a real villain would lurk in the shadows and break what the actor had maintained for such a long time and that was the basic belief that no one had the ability to accept.

I guess I just broke the record for the villain of the year, I said and laughed, as I left to meet the captain to update him about what was going to happen next. I left and moved forward towards where the captain was. I got there in a flash, but what I saw made me feel sad. Did the plan backfire? Who could have done this?

My whole head ached as I tried to understand why what just happened would ever happen. Who would have tried this? Does it mean they were coming for me too? The boss is around and now I have to fight him on my own.

My captain was dead, tears fell down my cheeks, and I was left alone in this war. How would I do it? I don't know anymore, was my bad luck at it again? Or was she at it cause all these were about her from the beginning? I have to find out what to do now.
