Chapter Thirty
BRIELLE'S POV
I woke up in Luther's arms, everywhere felt cold and I looked around and discovered I was in the tunnel with him. “Darling you're finally awake.” Luther said, “How long have I been like that?” I replied, while trying to readjust myself and Luther helped me up, “It's been a week now and we're still being chased, they just haven't discovered where we are exactly, I haven't been able to leave this place because you were asleep now I think we'll have to run away finally and at least try to survive this siege by Tau.” He said, and I smiled he looked so worried about everything and I guess he's not rested since it happened.
“You can rest a bit too, I'm sure we'll be fine from here on out.” I said to him, and he smiled “I know we'll be fine, but you should still rest. I'll make sure we'll be out of here soon and everything will be fine.” He said, and I rested my head on his lap.
“Why exactly are you doing all this for me? In the few months we spent before we came here you didn't even show me an ounce of emotion and now you're even giving me more than I ever wished for, and I still don't know how to repay you, but you've been there for me at the lowest, is it really because of love?” I asked, and he looked at me with a kind eye, I don't know if I'm really in love with you, but I know my heart flutters every time I look into your eye and my body shivers every time I think about you.
And when I see you in a tough spot I'm always sad and I'll always find myself trying to save you, if you call it love then I'll obviously say I'm in love with you.”
It was a rare sight for me the feared and dreadful Alpha Luther, who was smitten by love and became a real gentleman, but my curse still lives on and it's affecting us.
“How do we get out of here?” I asked.
“Tau’s warriors are everywhere but the doctor told me of a secret passage that leads to the forest, he said we just have to take that path until we get to a lonely hut, the doctor said, the hut would definitely offer us the hell we're looking for,” Luther said.
“Let's go now, the earlier we start the easier the journey,” I said, and he didn't argue as he packed small food into the bag he kept with him, and we started walking all the way through the tunnel. It was a really long walk as the whole place was very big and we knew that alone would take us up to five days to get out.
“Oh, I forgot. I didn't get to tell the doctor thank you for all the help he offered, how I wish I could meet him once more.” I said.
“The doctor merely helped us out in time of fire need, but his life was in danger and he had to be safe for his family. So I asked him not to come again once he left.” Luther said that was really nice of him.
We continued to journey in the tunnel for four more days until we were busy putting off the secret passage “ahhhhhhh….” I shouted, something had hit me and my eyes ass closing with blood dripping down my clothes.
TAU'S POV
“Is it going to take you an eternity to bring her to me? You guys are just really useless.” I give you just two days, just two more days to bring them to their knees in Infront of me. Or I'll make you regret ever being born as a Lycan.” I screamed, the search for the two miscreants had been on for too long, I wanted to get my hands on her and I needed to kill Luther so I could take over everything he owned, that was my plan all along.
I already ordered the killing of the doctor who helped them, but he didn't disclose anything up until the point of his death, I'm really feeling crazy, how can just two people spoil years and years of nurtured plan, I have to make them suffer for it.
“Mychal!!” I called out, “Yes my lord, he replied.
“I've been holding you back for a very important mission, you're the most capable of all my soldiers, I want you out there, now. Bring me the heads of the miscreants and I'll give you what I've promised you for a while now.” I said.
“My lord, are you really sure of it this time? Because if you don't, I'm going to kill you this time, and I'll send you to hell where you belong.” Mychal replied and I laughed so heartily, “A loyal soldier with a stone of heart searching for a clear chance to duel with me just to kill me, you really are something else. If you end up killing me who will you serve as your master.” I asked, knowing fully well how he'd answer.
“If I eventually kill you, I'll take everything you own for myself. Everything you acquired from me shedding blood for you, I'll take it myself. I'm a selfish bastard that has no reason to fight, but you have me a reason to and you're going to suffer for it.” He said.
“Bring them to me and I shall give you the chance to fulfill your goal, that is my promise to you.” I said, “I'm off my lord.” He said as he stood up and was about to leave. “Don't die before you kill me,” I said, as he left, he looked at me and smiled. “Seems you forget what people call me, I'm the immortal Mychal, the devil's spawn. I'm destined to bring hell upon this world, why would I die before I do that?” Mychal replied.
Now it's a game of who's faster, Tau or Mychal.
