Chapter 9:- The expected visitor
“Sir,” I heard Ivy called me.
“Come,” I informed her.
She opens the study room; entering.
Her eyes widen frighteningly.
I was shirtless and wiping away the
remains of blood from my shoulder.
“What happen sir?” she questioned concerned; rushing towards me.
“It's just a small incident that happened,” I told her.
“Now, what is it you wanted?” I inquired her; wanting her to leave.
“I've cooked enough meal today and I don't want it to spoil. Can I bring some of it to the she-wolf,” she said.
I saw anger within her eyes; as if she knew who did it.
“Sure,” I said.
It was good what she was about to do. The food prepares there wasn't all good.
“When you do, let her know I send you there,” I informed her.
I wanted her to see I had a good heart.
“And please be gentle with her,” I again informed her.
Ivy was very protective of me; as if I was her child.
“Oh, she said frighteningly. I almost forgot sir, but a man came here looking for you earlier today.
I glance at her; with curiosity.
“Who is it?” I inquired her.
“A white hair man,” she described.
“I asked him for his name, but be said you already know, and also you too know where to find him.”
“You may leave now,” I instructed Eutis.
I spin the chair towards the window behind me and stared outside.
What is it he wanted and why is he on my land? I inquired myself.
I got up; exiting my house. To find him.
I didn't bother to put on any shirt.
Soon I was within the forest.
I was now standing at the same spot where I met my mate. I continued to stare; remembering her large beautiful eyes.
“It's good to see you,” I heard a man voice.
I turned around and there I saw who it was.
“What are you doing here?” I inquired him.
“I'm sorry for the lost of your brother and his pack,” he apologizes.
“Is that why you're here,” I inquired him again; but angrily.
“To show your condolences or to gloat at me.”
“No,” he said.
“The day I heard the horrible news. I knew I had to see you before you think my pack is a part of his death,” he said.
I did think so, but I wasn't foolish to act without any proof. I was indeed deadly, but not stupid.
“Let's see,” I answered him.
“The Cloud pack may take over others' land, but we don't do serious crimes like those without any intention,” he explained.
I remembered the issue between my brother and their pack.
“Your alpha thought he stole his daughter didn't he?” I inquired him.
He stood silently not saying anything.
“He could be the one who killed him,” I told him.
“If he did; why would he kill the entire pack who had nothing to do with him?” he questions me
What he said was true; but who else could it be. Perhaps there's a lot about my brother I don't know. He could have enemies out there I don't know about. All I had to do was to find them.
“I hope you find that cold-blooded murderer, he said, and if there is anything you want me to do in helping you I will.”
I don't think I can trust him; after all, he may be my brother's enemy.
“I'll let you know if I do,” I told him.
“Okay,” he said. Returning to his home.
Suddenly he stopped; turning around.
“Any words on finding your love?” he inquired me.
“Not as yet,” I answered him.
“I heard the news about her,” he informed me.
I got close to him; eager to know what the news was.
“I don't want to upset you, but it may not sound as how it seems,” he said.
I got closer to him and grab him by his neck; about to choke the news from his mouth.
“Tell me what it is?” I inquired him, while I shake him.
“Someone told me that they saw her and the Silver pack leader; before she leaves my land, and they seemed close. As if they were mates.”
I unhand him; hearing him said that.
No, it couldn't be I thought.
Paisley couldn't stand him; it must be a reason why they were seen together or probably the person who saw them got it all wrong.
I suddenly laugh out loud.
Chase looked at me; as if I was going insane.
“I must go now before darkness arises,” he said.
I glanced at him; until he could no longer be seen.
Why was Paisley seen with him? She knew I couldn't stand him and too knew Alexander was my enemy.
I got angry at the thought of them; being close. I run to a large tree and clawed at it angrily. Sinking my claws within it.
I had to find answers right away and I knew where to find out; at Alexander home of course.
His land wasn't far away from Werewille.
I kept on wondering why Alexander was with Paisley.
Soon I was at his house.
“Alexander!” I shouted his name.
“Alexander!” I shouted his name even more.
His door was open; by one of his pack members.
“Where is he?” I question her, angrily.
She stuttered.
“Well, Well, isn't it the deadly alpha,” Alexander said, playfully. Approaching me.
“Where is Paisley?” I inquired him, angrily.
“I don't know, but giving me the young she-wolf; will somehow allow me to remember where she is,” he again played.
I went up to him and grab him by his throat; ready to squeeze the answer out of him.
He coughs, gasping for air.
“I met her last week before he left the Cloud pack land for good. I was there on business and happened to see her. And she approached me wanting to know if you were okay," he explained.
I unhand him; believing what he said.
I knew Paisley would never get into an entanglement with him; of all persons.
“Poor thing looks sad and depress,” he badly described her.
I felt a strong pain inside me hearing him said that. I knew where ever she was; it wasn't easy for her emotionally.
I started to exit Alexander's house.
“I heard from a friend, friend of mine that your runaway girlfriend is on the
Dark light packs land.” he stopped me.
I went off hearing the news.
“Why she chose to be there?” I wondered.
The Dark light pack was many distances away from my land. It would take me four days to be there.
Entering their land won't be a problem. I was well known there.
Tomorrow, I had to look for her.
Tomorrow, I paused; remembering the young beautiful She Wolf.
I could not leave tomorrow. What if I do leave and Paisley is not there; also she-wolf could be in trouble if Alexander knows I'm not here.
It would be much better if I send off a letter there with one of my messengers. Letting her know I'm searching for her.
Time flies; the place had begun to lose its light. It was time to head home back. Tomorrow was going to be an interesting day.
I wonder what she likes? I thought.
“Welcome home sir,” My maid always greeted me.
“Are you ready for dinner?” she inquired me.
“I'm not hungry,” I informed her and went upstairs.
I went into the bathroom; taking a quick shower and went to bed.
I laid on my back, staring at the ceiling. My mind suddenly went on the wolf.
I hope she's sleeping well, tonight, I thought.
The rain had started to fall. The sound it made on the roof was quite smoothing and too relaxing. My eyes slowly close. As I went off to sleep. It again opens hearing the loud sound of the thunder rolls; hoping the thunder doesn't frighten her.
I turned on my side; enjoying the softness of the bed. I slowly open my eyes and saw it was morning, already.
I jumped from my bed, quickly; sitting up. It's times for her to come, I thought.
I hated how I was feeling.
I felt excited to have her at my home; during this time I planned to know everything about her or every inch of her, I thought.
I shook my head; hating the last thought.
I needed a morning run to clear my mind. I exit my room, heading downstairs.
“Good morning sir,” Ivy greeted me.
“Morning,” I answered her.
“Ivy,” I called her.
She answered.
“I want you to accompany Eutis later to the prison, in getting the she-wolf. She will be staying with us for seven days and during this time. I want you to make her feel welcome and to give her little chores to do, so she can feel a bit comfortable staying here,” I informed her.
“Yes, sir,” she answered.
“I'm going for a morning run, I'll be right back,” I again informed her.
I ran through the forest; allowing the cold morning breeze to run through my furry body. I became thirsty and went to a small river in drinking some of its water.
I breathe heavily trying to catch my breath. My mind again runs on her.
I was looking forward to having it.
“Sir,” one of my men called.
“What is it?” I inquired him.
“We heard some news about your brother that could help find his murder,” he said.
I turned my attention to him, right away.
“Who?” I inquired him.
“I don't know, he said, but they're waiting at your second house. As soon as I heard the news. I came searching for you.”
“Come on let's go,” I ordered him; while we ran home.
My morning was starting off fine. Getting information as you who killed my brother had made it started off well and too soon having that white hair beauty at my home.
Finally, we had reached.
We both entered the house.
I went upstairs putting on a dark pant, only and head back downstairs; into the living room and there I saw four of my men waiting on me.
“Who killed my brother?” I inquired them.
“We don't know, but Lucas. He should be here any moment now,” one of them informed me.
I sat and waited impatiently; soon it was noon.
“Where is he?!,” I shouted at my men.
“I have been waiting for hours and still he is not here!” I again shouted.
I got up from my chair; about to look for him myself and there I saw him; entering my house.
“Tell me now,” I told him; wanting so badly to find that person and rip off his neck, right away.
“I thought, I did, but the information is useless, he said. I only know where Paisley is,” he said frighteningly.
I wanted to grab him and choke the life out of him, but it was useless.
I was so angry, I sat here all day wasting my time.
She should be home, by now; my mind ran on her instantly.
“Don't you want to find her?” One of my men inquired me.
I didn't bother to answer them and went outside.
“I'll talk to you tomorrow,” I informed them and hurriedly went home.
My heartbeat within my chest; returning home. I stood at my front door like a total stranger; raising my hand at the door. Afraid to open it.
“Why I'm I behaving like a teenager?” I inquired myself.
I pushed the door open.
“Good afternoon Mr. Liam,” my workers greeted me.
“Are you ready for your dinner?” they inquired me.
I was a bit hungry since I missed out on dinner last night and most importantly, breakfast.
“Yes, within ten minutes in the living room. I'm going to go and have a quick shower in washing this hard day off me,” I answered them.
Where is my young mate? I inquired myself; while I looked across the house for her, disappointed there was no sight of her.
I wanted to know where she is, but I'll have to find out without anyone knowing I had any interest in her.
I started upstairs; I then stopped; I needed to see her now.
“Ivy,” I called one of my workers.
“I want my food to be carried to me by our new she-wolf,” I ordered them.
I heard something fell within the living room. I smiled heading upstairs.
Good, I thought. She's aware of the duty she'll perform for me later or something else soon. For I knew it will not be easy having a beautiful young female within my house knowing she is mine and not be tempted to touch her.
**Finally they are together!!!!!!
