Chapter 20: Alexander Territory

Entering my bedroom, opening one of the windows. I howled softly, signaling one of my men. I needed him to be here to watch over my mate while I am gone. Leaving her without any form of security would be dangerous. Who knows what plan Alexander had up his sleeves.

The day he came for my mate. I could see how badly he wanted her, and he will not stop until he has her. My mate's beautiful appearance had seemed to have taken control of his mind, making him desperate to have her as if he were possessed.

Closing the window, I started to take off my suit. Where I was going a suit was not the right outfit to be worn. I searched for a pair of black stretch pants and a blue T-shirt within my drawer. I closed my dark eyes tightly, holding my clothes thinking about what was about to happen tonight, knowing it was something that could affect my pack greatly. My pack could be in danger if I lost my life. I sigh heavily feeling a great burden of my plan. I hated that my final decision would have a great effect on my pack, but I had to do it. I had to save my mate. I did not want to see her suffer anymore.

I put on my pants, holding the shirt within my hand, carrying it with me. It was pointless wearing it. It will not shield me from what will happen tonight, but to hide the scar I will soon wear. I slowly walked to the door and took a quick look at my image within my mirror sadly and turned the doorknob leaving.

Exiting my room, I felt my wolf within me moved heavily sensing the presence of our mate. I glance at her and saw she was standing within the hall. I walked past her as if she were not there. I could not say anything to her now. I wanted to get over with the plan I had made in saving her life and returned home.

Sadness covered my heart, contemplating if she will ever let me into her heart or trust me. What if she never does? I thought negatively. I blink my eyes abolishing the bad thoughts from my mind. I loved my mate and seeing her being hurt again. I do not think I will be able to live. More bad thoughts filled my mind wondering if she will ever accept me as her mate when she does find out, during the full moon. Which was not too far. I felt my wolf crying within me praying that these bad thoughts that run through my mind will never be.

As I went downstairs. I could feel her staring at me. As if she felt that we belong together. I tighten my lips, knowing it was only me who was thinking so. She was 18 not too long ago, and she will never know until the full moon arrives.

“Open the door,” I ordered Helix. He was one of the men I had called. One of our strongest members of my pack. He was much older than me and used to fight alongside my father when he was their alpha. Helix obeyed my order opening the front door. Before I leave I took one last look at my beautiful mate seeing her bright blue eyes fixed on me. Until she was unable to see me no more.

“Alpha Liam,” helix called me.

I turned to look at him as we both stand outside.

“Is the white hair wolf going to be here alone, while we go off on business?” he inquired me.

I nodded.

“What if she escapes?” he again inquired me.

“She won't, I answered him, you will stay outside and guard the house, ensuring no one enters, but for me when I returned.”

Helix was surprised he was not coming along with me. I did not want him to anyways, if he saw what his alpha will be put through tonight, he will surely prevent it from happening and refuse to obey me. Helix was very protective of me. It is because he once worked alongside my father for many years and owed his life to my father for getting him out of trouble. And so, him being overprotective of me, was a promise he made to my father before he died of a serious illness.

“Yes, alpha Liam,” Helix answered me. Within his voice, I could only hear disappointment.

“Every door is locked inside, she won't be able to escape nor will you have to enter my house to check on her,” I told him.

He nodded and ran off heading to the back of my house, allowing no one to see him.

Helix guarding the house to prevent my mate from escaping was a waste of time. Avery could never try to break free even if she tried. Being an alpha from a younger age. At the age of 18, I ensured my house was well secure and unbreakable, but now I no longer needed its safety at night. No one would dear choose to challenge me. I was a deadly alpha and my name said it all. That I was someone not to mess with unless you were trying to commit suicide.

The place had started to get dark, allowing only the moonlight to guide us. I took one last look at my large white house; knowing my mate will be here all alone and ran off. I howled calling two of my men in accompanying me to Alexander territory.

“Yes sir,” the pack member I had called answered me as they came to me quickly.

“Follow me,” I told the two not telling them where I was going and why; If I had told them most of the fighters of my pack would surely hear and I did not want that. It would only ruin my plan.

They obeyed me and did not inquire where we were going. I made a turn. I could feel worries from my two pack members, wanting to know why we were heading towards my greatest enemy Alexander path. I quickly went along the narrow path leaving the forest. Glancing behind me I could too see the worries on their face. Finally, we were on Alexander Territory not too far from my land Werewille.

“So happy to see the deadly alpha has brought my price,” Alexander greeted me. As he waited anxiously for me to bring him, my mate.

He looked behind me quickly seeing only my two-pack members and then back at me.

“Where is she?” he inquired me disappointed.

“She's not here,” I told him.

“I thought we had a deal!” he shouted at me.

“Yes, we do,” I answered him.

“Then where is she, where is the white she-wolf?” he inquired me dying to have her.

“I won't let you have my mate,” I told him.

Alexander stared at me shockingly, at what I had just said.

If I plan to take her punishment tonight. I wanted him to know Avery was my one true mate. And the reason for me being here instead of her.
