Chapter 110. Blood
Hunnie
“Are you MAD girl!
He would never make that call!”
“You don’t know that Suki!
He’s NEVER had a offspring, YOU'VE SEEN... how it CHANGED him!”
“Nyku, Suki....shhh... quiet before you guys wake her!”
“You TWO sound FOOLISH!
That’s HIS MATE! He would NEVER!” My mind stirs awake hearing a man raising his voice.
The commotion around me start to become a bit hostile, and my head was very light and woozy, making me not be able to tell if I was dreaming the voices or not.
“Wh...What's....What’s..."
“She’s waking!” I hear Suki’s voice.
"Wh-What hap-happened?" My lips muttered disoriented before my groggy and heavy eyes mustered up the courage to finally open.
The images of blood on the toilet paper began filling my mind. My instincts knew that wasn’t a good sign to see while carrying a child. I only hoped they were doing just fine.
My head moves from side to side, looking for my mates in a panic. Instead, my dry and watery vision captures the many beings around the bed in the healing room, peering down at me in a distressed state.
"M'Lady!" Leolo walks around to my side, clutching a fedora in his hand with his long blonde hair slicked back.
He was dressed very gentleman like, wearing a navy blue suit with a white collared shirt and had a caring look to his face. Usually he wore plated armor that covered his whole body, sometimes exposing his head if he doesn't wear the helmet, so it was unusual seeing him armor-less.
"Don't worry, Your mates will be right over!" My eyes drag over to see Mirah, the midwives, Nyku, and a few armored guards posted by the chamber doors all watching me worryingly. Embarrassment and shame washes over me as there was just a party going on outside those doors and I was the main even here!
Oh I could so cry right now! I noticed I was dressed, wearing a stretchy white spaghetti strapped gown and a sheer light blue kimono.
A painful pinch is felt in the middle of my left arm as my hands try to rub my bump, and I look down to see an IV connected to a bag filled of green fluids. Suki comes over, sitting on the bed next to me and holds onto my hand comfortingly.
Did they have bad news for me or something? What is this green stuff in there? What happened to me on the toilet, did I faint? Why was I bleeding! Are the babies fine!
My heart begins racing irregularly again and Mirah comes up to the green bag injecting some contents in there that smelled pretty bitter.
"Wh-What...is that?” My voice comes out raspy and cracks under my ears.
"It's just human's drug to lower your blood pressure. It's severely high, and this bag is mixed with our herbs to ease your blood." Mirah says to me with a crooked smile.
“B-But...But...I saw bl-blood!” My voice squeals.
“It’s common for twins,” She says. “But I believe it’s a sign of...early...labor.” She lowers her head and bows, just as Bahm and Kris appears to her side. Goosebumps coating over my skin at the recollection of the conversation I thought I over heard.
My mates backs were facing me until they both turned around, walking quickly over to my bed side as unknown tears begin pouring out of my swollen eyes. Everyone in the room bows, Suki leaves my side and they all hold their posture for a few seconds and return to their regular stances.
"Sweetie! How are you feeling?” Bahm comes over to me, cupping my face, kissing my cheeks and taking one of my hands in his. Kris takes a seat on the bed next to my legs. He begins rubbing his hands up and down my knees and ankles soothingly right away.
“I’m doing good.” My voice cracks, “Mirah said... I could be in...early labor.”
I look to Bahm’s deep and enchanting green eyes for a reaction. They changed at my statement and he looks down before kissing my knuckles. His eyes seemed shaken, and watery, but his face remains blank.
"You have to bed on bed rest" Kris mumbles lowly in a soft tone.
Bed rest?
Why?....
I feel fine!
“Wait...why?” I croak, ready to burst out crying at the horrible news that they might have to add.
“Your blood pressure has been high my love, Mirah wants to keep an eye on you for the time being." Bahm’s hands comes over my head, rubbing my hairs back gently. I look back over to him, and he shoots me a half, quivering smile.
“What about...the wedding?” My lips trembled and my eyes adverted to Kris behind him, who squeezes my knees in his hands.
“Hunnie...You and the babies need to get rest. We need them to get the proper amount of oxygen and develop correctly before it’s time...to me that’s more important and hopefully...to you too, right I don’t want to lose you all” His voice croaks and he kisses my forehead and squeezes my hand in his tenderly.
I nod my head yes in agreement, watching the midwives and Mirah all do the same. I’ll do whatever I need to do so that our babies can be born of this world healthy beings. The heat from both of my mate begin to surround my body like a sauna. Their aura’s had not gone undetected by my senses. Mainly Kris’. He were very concerned about something and having a later wedding and me being on bed rest, didn’t seem like it was just it.
“But...Why do you all look so sad though...” I look to my mates and then over to Suki, Jo Jo, and Hay Lee.
The room is silent, everyone looks everywhere but me, making me extremely anxious. Many heartbeats begin thumping to my ears and nervousness washes over me completely. Bahm kisses my knuckles again, holding my hand with both of his and rubbing it against his face. Then Kris’s voice is heard pained and dull as his face hid many different emotions and he stares behind me while he speaks.
“It’s your organs Hunnie. Some have already been damaged...from the... sudden spike in your blood pressure...
And we don’t....
We don’t...know... if it’ll get worse, where Bahm has to heal you... and the babies die naturally...or if the babies will die first from Bahm not healing you..."
