Red Momma Inzotta
Mrs. Hunnie Bahm ♛
All I see is my vision tunneling as I run.
I found my mother!
She's still here!
"Oh Hunnie!" She cries running down the front porch steps with her bouncy, curly, red hair. I meet her in the middle of her yard, running into her arms and wrapping my own around her neck. She looks the same!
Bahm bring his hands to my back we both sobbed on each other’s shoulders.
"Come in, Come in!
The neighbors are watching." She chuckles and I grab Bahm's hands while we walk up the steps. His thumb began trailing across my knuckles in comfort, inviting a superficial smile across my face.
But why did he say no one was in here?
That was strange.
Upon entering her house, Bahm hesitates before taking a step in. I turn around, eyeing his eyebrows that were pulled together and his mouth drawn downwards.
"What is it?" I say softly, stopping behind my mother.
"There's many spells on this house Hunnie...
Will any hurt me?" He says in our link and I gasp, forgetting all about the spells surrounding the house to protect my mother.
"WAIT!
STAY THERE!"
I shriek, removing a a destructive spell harming demons once they enter in.
Phew!
Even though Bahm was only half, I'm sure it would still hurt him! I guess I'll have to wait to see if anything else starts to affect him once he reaches inside, because I was so young when I did this, I couldn’t even tell you...
"What's wrong!" My mother eyes me and then look back at Bahm up and down.
"Oh, I had to remove a spell...I didn't want him hurt." I tell her half the truth.
“See I knew those eyes were supernatural.” She says, leading us to the kitchen.
I grab Bahm's hand and he holds mine firmly when I pull him inside, following my mother and then taking a seat on the bar stool.
"Hunnie what has happened to you!” The freckles on her face seemed to darken.
"The Council...
They said...
They said you died baby!
"No ma, I didn't die.
The coven and The Council left me for dead.
They never came back looking for me or told me how I could come back home.
They changed me into a wolf--"
"WHAT!!
A WOLF!
HUNNIE! NO!”
My mother shouts and begins sobbing. She was more hurt and devastated by the news of me being a hybrid now, than hearing how the coven treated me.
Bahm stood next to me, with his hands on my shoulders when my mother comes running up to me, cupping my face and examining me. She even opens my mouth and looks inside my ears.
I fill her in with all the details that the coven obviously failed to explain to her. She was very upset, but once I told her about her grandchildren, her eyes lit up like diamonds and she runs towards Bahm, hugging and showering his cheeks with kisses. Then she suddenly ask, “He’s the father, right?”
I send her daggers that clearly indicated I wasn’t impressed with her comment and she starts punching the air.
"I'M FINALLY A GRANDMA!!!" She yells, grabbing my hands and pulling me off the stool. We begin dancing in a circle, all three of us, but Bahm was very quiet although he was dancing like puppet with us.
"My son, why the long face." My mother stop dancing abruptly. She noticed his face as well, I was hoping he wasn’t upset by anything she said.
“Wolfsbane,
It's in..
All the vents." He coughs, and squints his eyes in pain.
"Oh shit!
Hunnie he can't breathe!" My mom scurries around down to her basement to shut off the vent switches. I cup Bahm's face, rubbing his cheeks and he bites his lips, eyeing the door.
"Yes let's go outside and get some fresh air!" We rush through the back door and I hear Bahm take a deep breath in. We take a seat on the chairs surrounding her patio table and I rub his stomach while she sinks in his chair.
"I'm sorry baby, I couldn't even tell you were a wolf.
Ya know, Hunnie done put so many spells and booby traps all around this house, I can never keep track."
"Aren't you a clever little witch." Bahm says, shooting me daggers and brushes his knuckles across my face.
“So what is his name...”
"I'm sorry.
Ma, this is Bahm...
Your son-in-law.
and my mate!" I smile firmly and grab his hand.
"M-M-Mate, Mates?" Nodding my head yes, I explain how we met after my first year on my mission and that we are fated mates indeed.
Her green eyes widen under her whispy red bangs, inviting a set of tears I've never seen my mom shed. Her lips start quivering and she slowly raises her hands to cover her mouth and her shoulder begin shaking up and down.
“Ma...Ma don’t cry.” I hug her while looking at Bahm. This was all very overwhelming for her. I felt bad with all the news I was only bombarded her with and filling up her table.
I wait for my mother to come back from the kitchen, fetching some brownies she’d been making for her chronic pain before we got here and wanting to tell her Bahm was also a wizard.

"Ahh..
Half Dark Wizard,
Half Werewolf..
Hmm...Thats an interesting mix." Hunnie's mother says after handing Hunnie and I some of the chocolate brownies she retrieved. They smelled good and tasted very rich.
"My birth mother was the witch, and my dad, the wolf." I tell her, taking another bite of the pastry and mind linking Hunnie, asking if she knew there was pot laced in here. She chuckles out loud and her mother eyes her with laughing eyes.
"So, what else are you."
"What do you mean ma?" Hunnie asks as I begin to smell her nervousness.
"Well, I can feel that there's more. He's a half witch, half wolf....
But what else..”
She says to Hunnie and I only cock my head to the side. How would this human sense that there was more to me? Her adoptive mother was really intriguing my interest for a human!
Hunnie and I stay silent, she watches me with these wide eyes, and I flatly open my mouth.
"Demon," I say and pick up my second brownie, hoping she doesn’t run or panic.
"A Demon Wolf." I mumble again, shoving the entire thing in my mouth. When I go to reach for my third, her mother continued with more questions.
"So does that make my grand babies half demon as well?"
"No ma, just a quarter.
He's immortal too--"
"How old are and what's your last name.”
She cuts Hunnie off and I shove my third brownie into my mouth. Hunnie excuses herself to go retrieve some water.
"I've been alive for over a millennium." I munch down, eyeing her reaction, but trying to avoid her judgmental eyes.
She reaches in for a brownie herself, "Oh wow, and are you sure my daughter is your mate?" she asks and I nod, glancing over at Hunnie coming through the back door.
"You don't seemed phased." I say and she shrugs.
"Well my daughter is an incredible woman, she'll need someone incredible enough to handle her." She grins and takes a bite down. "Besides, I've been working for the council since I was 16 years old. I’ve seen a lot.”
We continued our conversation outside until it smelled safe enough to go back inside.
“So, about your last name?"
"I don't have one and either did my father before me, nor did my birth mother," I stared intently into Hunnie's eyes next to me on the suede sofa. This was also new information for her as well. Her last name would ultimately be my name.
"So, demons back then didn't have last names...or?..."
“They did, just not me. I'm sure Hiliana gave me one, but she never told me-"
“Hiliana?!
The first Dark Witch alive?”
She pauses, looking over at Hunnie for clarification. She even mouths the name again to Hunnie. I hated talking about that woman, giving her more fame to her name, so I only look away, hoping Hunnie would finish off for me.
"Yeah, it's who you think it is, but we don't....
Talk...about her...ok ma?" Hunnie says, walking up from her seat to her mother and wiping crumbs off her cheeks.
"When will I see my babies?"
Where are you living?
You guys can stay here!"
"Ummm...we...live..." Hunnie thinks to herself, placing a finger to her chin. Her mother looks at me with these bold eyes, as if I was holding her daughter hostage and instinctively I blurted, "We live across seas, in Asia.... You can also see the kids now if you want....Hunnie can stay if she'd like too..." Hunnie chuckles at my sudden robotic outburst.
I was nervous.
“Would you teleport the kids here?" Hunnie asks, and I tell her no, it's a death trap here.
"Okay ma," She nods to me and stand from her seat.
"Bahm is actually going to teleport us over to the house--"
"WHAT!
He can do that!"
"Yes ma, I also want to mention that I have two mates, and you don't just have one grandchild, you have two twins!
"Two mates?
How does that work?
....Wait never mind. Let's go see my grand babies," and with that I teleport all three of us over to the castle.
It was almost midnight over here, so the place was pretty dark. So dark, Hunnie's mother shrieks and with my wolf eyes, I could saw Kris falling off the sofa in the lounge room and begins to cursing.
"Hunnie!
WHAT THE FU--"
I flicker the lights of the lounge room and his eyes close tightly in adjustment. Then he stands up from the floor. The babies were on the couch as well, still asleep throughout the commotion and I could hear Hunnie's mother asking If that was Kris.
"KRIS!
OH my gosh!
Kris Tang!" Hunnie's mothers voice changes to a young high schooler as she looks over Kris's half naked body with warm eyes.
"She always liked Kris!" I look to Hunnie after hearing her speak in our link and she rolls her eyes.
At least someone that she knew liked Kris, and better yet it was her mother!
