Something’s Off About This One

How's does the Princess not see something wrong about any of this?

She mentioned an old hag using a spell, but with the way she's been moving lately, I wasn't sure if she casted a spell on our King, or that poor, young witch in his dungeon.

There is no way a young witch so young like that, could cast a spell on our millennial year old King without him noticing!

He isn't as dumb as Cyn thinks. He can smell even the slightest bit of magic being placed on him. I pray and pray that Cyn hasn't casted a spell on him either. He will for sure have her head this time.

She has already crossed the boundaries when she trapped him in his wolf form if he decided to leave the premises, and now... well now I don't know what to expect from her.

She seemed to know who the young witch could be. She took a lot of joy in whipping her a few days ago, while I was more nervous The King would have our heads for harming The Dark Witch without his permission.

She has a funny scent to her, and it isn't coming from her womb. I'm not surprised Cyn hasn't noticed it yet, but then again... She's only half The King's age. Unlike me.

I've been walking this earth just as long as The King has.

When the King falls asleep in the morning, I will go visit this woman on my own. Something doesn't seem right about her.

How could she get into the castle unnoticed? How would she be able to get a hold of The King's seeds and implant it into herself?

It all made no sense to me!

Was The King only covering up something diabolical?

Cynthia Vladorian was too young and naive. There's is definitely something going on. I've taken many beating from her father for her stupidity.

Of course it was nothing compared to my younger years of slavery, but since I am now her assistant, and not The King's mistress anymore, I needed to protect her from herself.

I waited ten minutes after dawn, while everyone in The Vampire Kingdom was asleep and made my way out the realm.

We weren't allowed to leave until afternoon time, but no one can ever detect my presence. I was too fast for the younger patrol guards.

They would never expect me to break rules...

I slipped through the realm, using my ancient speed to sprint passed the morning crowd starting their day in The Kingdom of Ghabaár.

Leaving a few coins on the closest food stand rapidly, I took a bag of goods.

The King would still be asleep by now, as he comes home right before dawn and sleeps very heavily after his normal demon fights.

Everyone in The Kingdom knows not to disturb him during those hours.

That's the only way Cyn was able to unleash her whips to the foreign Witch.

His mother, The Queen should be indulging in her breakfast by now with her court maids and that means the halls will be very guarded in the castle.

I'll slip in through The King's corridor and sprint my way to the dungeons, avoiding the vampire guards by his chambers.

They would certainly smell me if I got to close to them. Not that it would bother them to smell my presence, as I've lived in this castle for many years, but I wouldn't want any suspicions my way with The King.

He would find my visit to this witch disrespecting.

He seems to really be aggravated by the young witch. No one dared to anger him anymore during these times. Not even me.

               ———————————-

Stepping inside his courtyard, I stayed behind bushes until I scented a clearing.

Rushing passed their glass, sliding door, I made my way to the yellow staircase and opened the dungeon door to the corner. Quietly.

I flew down the stairs, passing the first empty cell and slowed down once my ears picked up on the old dragon prisoner talking to the witch across his way.

All voices stopped, I'm sure he warned her about my presence down here.

Turning the corner, I see the young woman curled resting against the missy stone wall. She smelled of blood and urine.

Blood leaking out from every part of her body. Especially her womanhood.

No crumbs left behind from the food I tossed inside her cell yesterday. I knew she was starving, and the babies inside of her wasn't helping her body either. I managed to slip down here when The King was quickly distracted by Kris.

Still, as I approached her cell, I could still smell The King's scent around her.

She looks up frightened. Her teary, red eyes watching me as I walked to the far end outside of her cell.

Watching the pitch black cell behind me, incase the dragon tries to harm me with bad blood  between him and The King.

Her lips quivered and tears fell down her swollen, puffy face.

My old ears picked up on her stomach consistently growling. I unwrapped the goods I took from the food stand and slid it between the cell and all the way to her side.

The poor child looked hopeless. She was prepared to die, there was a look of so much hurt in her eyes.

It made me feel sorry for her dearly.

Everyone knows The King hates Dark witches and forbids any witch to work in his palace, but she didn't give me the vibe of an evil witch that wanted to hurt our King.

It seemed.... She really craved some kind of love from him.

"Tell me..." I began whispering to her as I kneel on the dirty dungeon floors.

Her mouth opens to say something, but closes as her chapped lips cracks open.

"The King...he left something over there. Didn't he?" I rubbed the side of my neck. Motioning towards hers.

She only drops her head on her knees and hugs herself even tighter.

That was all I needed to confirm my suspicions.

The King has left his mark on this woman, but no one can see it. I can't even see it, but I can sure smell my King on her. The canines that used to mark my body many times as well.

"You must tell him everything. There could be a spell  on one of you..." I whispered again. Not trying to wake The Demon upstairs.

"Leave her be. He doesn't deserve her." Came the old voice of the dragon behind me.

He never leaves the shadows of his cell, but he's been  in this castle long enough to know what goes on in here.

My ears picked up on a waking Kris upstairs. The King's best friend and brother.

He seemed to be making his way towards the King's chambers and The King would definitely wake up for his companion in a heart beat.

I must leave.

Shooting the innocent girl a sympathetic gaze, I zoomed out of the castle.

I've got all the answers I needed. I won't share this with anyone. Not even Cyn. She's might harm this woman if she finds out.

I just pray The King doesn't do anything he regrets.
