Honored

Hunnie

The room is dark, and I can’t move my body.

Am I asleep still?

Trying to pry open my eyelids, I feel a force trying to pull at me from the side. Then the ground shakes all around me. Finally, I open my eyes and everything was still dark.

I tried to open my mouth to call out for help, but whispers filled my ears instead.

“Bahm?” The voice in my head searches out.

“I’m right here!” He replies back, but I couldn’t see where he was. The room was still dark!

“Where Bahm?”

“Right here!”

The ground underneath the bed shakes, and I feel my body sinking into the bed.

What’s going on.

Have I lost my vision again.

“Bahm I can’t see...where are you!”

After what feels like I had sunk to the bottom of a cave, a distorted face comes closely to my vision. I blink quickly, adjusting my vision thought the darkness and I make out eyes.

When I blink again, staring back into my eyes, was the face of a demon with yellow eyes! He grabs my face and bears his nasty slimy grey teeth. It comes just inches away from me, the distorted and wet face smiling at me and I scream, but nothing comes out.

I try kicking my legs and moving my arms about to wake me up when I feel a strong force pulling my body again. I scream with all my might this time, kicking my legs and lifting my heavy arms.

“HUNNIE!” I hear Bahm roar before I see him in a opened baseball jersey and a baseball cap, holding my arm and then Hubi to my right side, wearing a look of worry stuck on her cute little face. I raise my eyebrows at her, making a funny face to ensue her I was ok.

“Are you okay, though?

You scared us!” Bahm says, and I finally see Kris sitting across the way with Bahari in his arms.

“I saw some demon with yellow eyes. It felt so real!” My voice trembled as I go to reach for Hubi. Her face lights up and she goes to wrap her arms around my neck tightly.

“I saw...” Bahm mumbles with his head low.

“That’s the demon that I fought this morning, the one that poisoned me.”

I gasp! “Is it in the castle!

Why am I seeing it!” I shriek frantically, holding Hubi’s head against my shoulders.

“No Hunnie...

He’s dead. You don’t have to worry about him.” He waves his hand in front of him and I relax a bit.

“But why did I see him?” I ask again.

“Maybe because you experienced the poison and passed out shortly after.” Kris spoke, standing up from the sofa across the bed, and placing Bahari onto the floor.

His little feet runs straight for me, calling me mama and pulling his self up the bed.

I welcome him into my arms, right next to Hubi and looking over to Bahm.

“I don’t want you fighting anymore.

I think I can cloak the whole bridge.” Instantly I say.

“Hunnie...only my birth mother has been the one to do that” He begins with a sigh. The twins start blabbering away to each other in excitement, as they both crawled over my body. Did he not have faith in me?

“And You know I can’t take any chances, I’ve already tried this before sweetie, trust me, just leave it be.” By the tone of his voice and the slack expression, I could tell he didn’t want to be bothered by false hope.

I think quickly, I at least wanted to try something! I can’t have my mate returning home injured, or on the verge of death! I shouldn’t have to worry everytime he disappears to fight! It doesn’t matter how strong he is, he isn’t a full demon and still needs time to eat, sleep, and take care of his self. Hell, he needs more time to enjoy his family and be a better King!

The Demon Realm, is his weakness. He can’t fail there, or they would be released upon earth. Imagine how that burden can weigh heavily on any being. As a Dark Witch, with dark magic lingering through my whole body, I should be able to fix an imperfection in the world that demons escape through.

Right?

We must be able to do something about it! We don’t need his birth mother!

I’ve studied many demon spells too, I KNOW, I can do something!

“Do you want to go see your mother still?

Maybe you can get her number so you can call her too...” Bahm says softly, walking around the bed and I nod in agreement.

It took us one hour to go over and see my mom. I wanted the twins to look their best for her and for when we see their uncles too! I also wanted to gift them many gifts and charms.

Kris gave me the idea, so we made a stop into The Kingdom and bought all kinds of rare and unique treasure for all of them.

My brothers only lived a mile up the road from my mom, so I was very eager to see them again. Picking right back up where I left my life.

Happy,

confident,

and bold without a fear in the world, because I am Hunnie, the last, full, Dark Witch.

“Please let me try. I know a lot of cloaking techniques...” I beg suddenly.

"I can’t take this, I don’t want it to be a part of your life anymore. You have a family now--”

“HUNNIE!” Bahm yells, and the babbling from the twins cease as they look over to him.

He lowers his head in guilt. I kiss both of the twins and set them down on the bed to play. Hubi begins jumping up and down right away, continuing her blabber, while Bahari comes back to climb all over me with much energy.

“I’m sorry you had to use so much energy today Hunnie.

I won’t put myself in harms way again or make you worry.”

“I can..

Cloak the whole bridge...to smell like anything.”

I utter softly and quietly, knowing he’ll still disagree, but he doesn’t say anything. Instead he holds his hands out to Hubi who delivers him a smack in his palm.

“At least let her try Bahm.

She is very good at cloaking...” Kris comes over to the bed laying down in the middle and begins groaning when both kids rush over to him.

As I sit there watching them beat and jump all over Kris’s head and back, I see Bahm lay on his side, holding his same palm open to me.

Feeling a bit annoyed, I slapped his hands hard, just like how Hubi did and he captures my hand quickly in his, pulling me roughly over to him. I struggle in his grasp, watching his emotionless face turn upward with a smirk.

“L-Let go!” My voice comes out hoarse and I see Kris lift his head up from his beating when Bahm yanks me onto him, wrapping his arms around my body tightly.

“So!

You want to conquer the world now!”

He grunts, and his teeth finds it's way to the tip of my ear, nibbling on the cartilage. I squeal and squirm in his hold, but he turns around on top of me, pinning my hands above my head.

“N-No!” I giggle under him, taking in his sparkling, piercing, green eyes as he clenched his jaw and raises an eyebrow .

“My little mate saves me, and now she wants to fight demons.” He says between his teeth above me, then buries his head between my neck, tickling me when his tongue swipes against my flesh.

“No!

I don’t want to fight!” I chuckle when he continues to go to the other side of my neck.

“I want to hide the bridge from them!” I say just as I feel his body stiffen and Bahari jumping onto Bahm’s back. He adverts his attention to Bahari, lifting him up and throwing him back down onto the bed.

“Hey!...

Be careful."

Bahm teleports everything home from the hotel room, including my seafood lobster ravioli that I ate right there on the bed, famished. I gave the kids a few bites, as they seemed curious to taste whatever mommy was eating.

“I’ve already told Jacorius to prepare lunch.” Bahm says in the link and I look over to him and he had a mysterious grin on his face.

“Whats the matter?” I stuck the fork into Bahari’s mouth.

“What are you thinking about?” Asking again, his cheeks red in love. He had a different look to his fat that was partially hiding under the baseball cap her wore. I could see a fiery passion flaring in his eyes as he just sat in the chair by the bookshelves, biting the corner of his lips, lost in thought.

“Nothing Hunnie.

I’m just...proud of you.

...Surprised.
You don't fail my expectations...” He finally opens his mouth to talk.

Kris glances over to him with a smug look on his face from the sofa and then goes back to looking at his phone.

I was a bit speechless, only being able to spit out, “Thank you,” and smiling from ear to ear.

He then comes over to the bed and crawls over to me, pressing his lips closely to mine and I lean into him.

“I never underestimated you, Hunnie.

There’s a reason why we are fated.” Bahm says,
