I woke up in a snore on my hands and knees. I shook the heavy exhaustion from my eyes and looked up to Leolo. My personal body guard.







"What's going on. What are you doing down here?" He looks at me frantically and I don't even remember how I even got home





last I remembered, I was using my magic to burn Sylest to a pulp, hoping she'd never be reborn again. Then Hunnie's high fever flooded my nose and I remember collapsing in the woods and Aldrerix pushing to help me, now I'm awake here?









"You all were sleeping when I arrived to the castle!" He grabs my arms and pull me up. My eyes scanning over to my bed, where I scented Hunnie and Kris sleeping.







Hunnie seemed to still have a fever. I quickly mind linked Mirah to get ready to be teleported over and to grab her things that she needed to come with. I felt much more energy than earlier. I couldn't even teleport I remember, hell I barely had energy to reply to Kris in our link. Every time I tried, it felt as though more and more energy was being pulled from me.





I go to walk to the bed with wobbly legs, giving Mirah more time as it seems all my energy hasn't fully returned to me. I checked on the two still asleep, it seemed to of been a few hours after I slayed Sylest as the scent of her smoking body and blood on the tree indicted so to my nose.



I become worried. Why are they still asleep right now. We were fine until Hunnie threw up and got sick!





"Kris!" I link over to him in his sleepy state and he shifts under the covers.





Hunnie's hot body shits from his movement as well, unwrapping her arms from around him and revealing how sweaty she'd been. Her curly hair clinging onto her face with much moisture surrounding her face. I sit on the bed next to her and touch her face. Its hard for me to tell when someone has a fever since my body was naturally hot. I could only sense how high her blood pressure was . Even her heart was beating extremely fast.





I go to touch the body of Kris, seeing if he too had a fever, but he was several degrees lower than hers. Pulling back the covers, I scoop Hunnie into my arms. My mate was sick. She smelled different.



She smelled like...



Almost similar to...



To...







"She smells like you Bahm."







Kris turns around in a sleepy daze after I hear his voice in my head.







He sits up and thows the blanket off of him."It's your mark right? She has your eyes and now she can hear our link?" I watch him disappear behind the curtain that divides my bed from the closet. Thinking about what he said sounded true and it made sense. My mate should have been blessed with some of my abilities. I am the stronger one of us anyways, although since marking her I've felt very drained.







Hunnie shifts in my arm, groaning and clutching her stomach. I quickly teleported mirah, and Kris and I to The Healing Room. Mirah quickly rushes over after setting down a few bins and untying a rope that was connecter to a hospital bed.





I get up from the bed with Hunnie in my arms and place her onto the bed. Kris comes to Mirah's side as they begin to unpack the bins she settled down. I begin to feel another wave of exhaustion hitting me. All my energy being drained from my body. Now I was becomming alarmed that maybe that witch did something to us before she died.







I battled to stay awake, and blurted it out. I heard a few yelps and gasp as I staggered backwards and fell backwards. My back coming in contact with the hard wooden floors of The Healing Room.

Waking up to the familiar scent around the castle, different hair scents, breaths and even large portions of foods being roasted, my body jolted out of the tub filled with the thick waxy material and over to the towels, wiping my body of the greasy and traditional wax used to restore the body's energy.





There was a set of clothes and sandals on the bench in the corner. I grabbed the silky material and slipped it up my slippery legs effortlessly. My ears picked up on a quiet gasp and I turned around quickly. Giyah, Mirah, along with two other maidens were standing next to the bed with their heads bowed. Hunnie was laying in the bed with the blanket all the way up to her neck.





"Whats wrong with her!" I questioned between my teeth and holding the tunic in my hands.







"Her blood pressure is high Your Highness, she's dehydrated and has a minor infection." Mirah raises her head and bows with her hands kept behind her back. She holds her stance and I stare over all of them. Leolo, or Kris must've been very concerned to have called everyone back into the castle.







"Wh--Why is her blood pressure high?" I mumbled while making my way over to the bed. I throw my shirt across the room in anger. How did this go unnoticed! I was mostly disappointed in myself. I haven't been paying attention to her health like I should have been.





Hunnie looked to be peacefully sleeping and breathing somewhat normally in my bed. I tried dismissing the maids but they said since Hunnie's temperature has spike repeatedly, that Kris gave the orders to not leave her sight. I could respect that. I could also heal her myself, but I'll wait to ask her when she wakes. Things have been weird already with my blood in her body.







I could hear Kris approaching The Healing Room. He explains to me the after I teleported all of us here, I fainted. Him and Leolo couldn't wake me to save their lives. Plus Hunnie has been having fevers on and off that are almost sending her into a seizure and she's feelings cramps in her stomach Giyah mentioned. Hunnie tells them it pains like menstrual cramps, but after evaluation, there is nothing there to signify what is bringing her pain, only showing the beginning of her menstrual cycle.







Kris hands me my long sleeved tunic and I see my two beta's in the back by my chamber doors. Standing still and staring at Hunnie.





"Don't get mad." Kris says in a hurry. "They both said they've been having dreams from the mother goddess of the moon. Saying they must come and see their Luna by the goddesses request."





I've been keeping my mate's identity to the minimum since lashing out on her due to that spell Cyn put on me. I felt embarrassed for treating my mate in such a horror. It only showed how much of a monster I truly am, so having members of my pack seeing me around her made me ashamed.



Brushing a few hairs behind Hunnie's ears I kiss her sleeping lips. I hoped my mate was ok, Kris seemed fine, tired, but fine. Myself as well, I was feeling extremely tired too. I got into the ned and next to Hunnie, being cautious not to disturb her resting body, and thought about what Kris had said.





Hunnie scent truly did smell like mine. I wasn't sure when this started, but I could smell it fully. I wondered if this was the power of our bond. Combining us as one.



My two Beta's Jacorius and Leann were present with a vision from the moon goddess. I only hoped it was a good one.
