Instincts

Bahm

After shoving my nails into my palm, I squeeze my blood onto Kris’s injury and into his mouth quickly, as he laid on the kitchen floor behind the island. Then I rushed over to the babies that seemed quite shaken up from the whole situation.

“Hey...

Come to daddy.”

I pout and hold my arms out to my brown haired beauty with two streaks of blonde cascading her face, who was also running up to me with crying eyes. I embrace her tiny body in a hug and then she wraps her arms around my neck to pick her up.

Hunnie does the same to Bahari, and we both take a seat down on the sectional sofa. Flash cards and coloring books were all scattered about on the floor, along with markers and I could hear Leolo and his men making his way here, probably after hearing the commotion.

“What happened sweetie,” Hunnie asks a crying Bahari in her arms, whom seemed more freaked out than Hubi.

He points to Hubi, “Sissy” he cries, and points to her some more. Hunnie and I both assure him his sister was fine and he hops down from Hunnies leg, coming over to give his sister a hug. I pat his head while Hubi begins giggling at her brothers affection and then I see Kris rising up from the floors behind the kitchen island.

Just then Hubi looks over his way and begins clapping and waving to Kris, whom ultimately yells and throws his self back down onto the floor. My baby girl did smell heavily of magic in this moment right, and I actually wanted to take the chance to study her a little bit more. There was no way she would be able to control her dark magic at this age. That did worry me.

“We were fuckin playing peek-a-boo!--”

“Hey watch your mouth Kris!” Hunnie yells to my side.

“We were playing!...

And!...

She removed her hands from her face, looks at it and when she went to wave at me, a big purple spark filled my vision, burning my chest and next thing I knew, I was already flying over to the kitchen!” He yells from behind the island.

I examine her hand and Hubi does the same thing, watching her palm intriguingly and I could smell her magic beginning to fade away. I might have to place a spell on her since there was no way she’d be able to control her magic right now.

“When I was five...

I first learned to shift all on my own,

right in front of my old man.” I said, letting Hubi down to go run over to her coloring book. I watch her pick up the purple marker and began coloring in circles besides her brother.

“She might be showing signs of her abilities at such a younger age, which leads me to wonder when will Bahari show any of his abilities?”

“Do you think he will inherit magic powers too?” Hunnie says, crawling over to the children and watching them color, just as Kris decides to slowly leave the kitchen area.

“I’ve never smelled even the wolf in him yet, let alone magic, so I’m not sure, but magic has always been scented around Hubi.”

I explain to them, that a spell to suppress Hubi’s magic for now, might be necessary, but Kris of all people didn’t like the idea. He thought it won’t let her be herself, but I assured him it would only be for a year or two, once she understands how to fully communicate better with us and understand.

Leolo and his men came in and we all explained what happened. The kitchen counter Kris got thrown across was fixed immediately and Suki came into the room as well. She said she smelled Hunnie’s magic and we explained it was Hubi’s. She had a shocked look on her face that seemed more troubled, but it quickly disappeared.

“Don’t worry. I’ll suppress her magic so she doesn’t hurt anyone accidentally.”

“Can you do the spell yourself?”

My mother says when I enter into her bedroom area. Hubi runs straight over to my mothers huge, red, and old fashion vanity filled with all her makeup and expensive jewelry.

“Yes I can do it.” I grab Hubi away from the vanity and she screams in a tantrum.

“Come my little beautiful Majo” My mother calls Hubi over from my arms and she runs right away to her grandma. I felt bad deep down having to take her powers away from her, but it was only for a few years, or whenever she learned more about control.

While my mother held in her arms, rocking her like baby, I took her hands and said the spell. Not allowing any magic to flow out of her body without my release of it, I only hoped she wouldn’t show any signs of shifting into a wolf soon, or we’d be in trouble with that part.

Deep down I was actually worried that heir magic would infuse with their demon blood, not being able to control anything about themselves....

Hubi instantly falls asleep in my others arms, and I scoop her up. She must’ve been tired using all that energy on her poor uncle Kris.

“How is she doing?

Did you do it already?” Hunnie comes into the link worried.

“Yes, she’s asleep now. How’s Bahari?”

“He’s falling asleep as well.”

“Well good.

Now you guys can leave and come back in two days.

My time with them isn’t over yet!”

“Kris we are going to stay and keep an eye on them” Hunnie says in the link as I cruise through the halls, nodding at the servants and maids walking by.

“Right Bahm?” I teleport over to Hunnie and Kris just as she asks me to stay.

“Come on....

She’s doesn’t have her abilities anymore and since Bahm did it, there’s no way she’ll break the spell at two years old.” Kris says grabbing a sleeping Hubi from my arms and placing her to lay down on the sofa.

“I’ll be fine with them, plus aren’t you going to go visit Hunnie’s mom?” He says, dropping to his knees and scooping Bahari from Hunnie’s lap.

“Yeah...

I guess we can go search for her.” The words fly out, trusting Kris will be fine without us after today’s incident. I was also very nervous to meet the woman that raised Hunnie. How would I be able to face her after all the bad things I’ve done to Hunnie in the past.

In the back of my mind, I’ve been pretty wrecked since Tenn told Hunnie she saw everything I’ve done to her.

Fear hit me instantly.

Would her friend be able to convince her to leave me also? She was already so bright and happy to see that woman, who knows what else a seer like her could say to make my mate leave me! If one thing is for sure, I’d never want to meet her again! Hunnie seemed to also look up to her.

After convincing Hunnie everything was okay, we teleported back after eating lunch with Kris and my mother and we sat down on the sofa, discussing our next moves.

“We can try going back to the last place I knew she lived.” Hunnie says and Kris comes into the link explaining the location.

“It’s a half hour from our pent house, towards the city of Queens more.” Instantly I teleported over to our penthouse in upstate New York. Hunnie’s eyes lit up, taking in the low hanging chandeliers and the all black living area. This is where I stay when I come down to visit Kris. It was pretty much our man cave.

I walk over to the balcony overlooking the city, asking Hunnie to point in what direction she thought her mother lived in and we continued to teleport to different land marks, hopping from place to place I was familiar with, until we hit her street.

“It’s only a few houses down.” Hunnie says, holding her long white dress from the bottom. We were walking on the sidewalk of a dead end street, passing many large houses with human kids playing outside, and parents cutting grass.

Her heart began racing incredibly as we approached a dark blue house with thick white window frames. Then she looks up at me, saying this was it and I fixed her hair behind her ear, showing her large pearl earrings and cupping her face.

“I don’t hear...

or smell anyone inside Hunnie.

I’m sorry...”

A single tear falls down her face and my thumbs swipes it away. Just then, the hairs on my arms stand straight up and I feel Aldrerix begin to push towards the surface.

Both Hunnie and I face the white door of the blue house, watching it open to our bewilderment. I squint my eyes, sniffing the air and still listening in on the inside of the house, but I still couldn’t distinguish anyone within the walls.

A red haired, olive skinned woman, with green eyes appears through the crack of the door, examining Hunnie and I, before I hear Hunnie yell in excitement.

“Ma Ma!” She sobs.

“Oh Hunnie!”

The woman yells back, swing the door Wie open and Hunnie begins dragging me by my hand down the concrete walk way up the house.

Why can’t I smell this woman?

What’s up with the house?

Why is it so quiet in there!

WHY IS HER MOTHER HUMAN!
