Sweet, Innocent Goodness

After having to stay at that gosh awful scene for one hour, all five of us maids were released to go to bed.


I wasn't sure I could handle this anymore. Everything hurts. My stomach, my head, more so, my heart.


We were all summoned to clean The Queen and King after their activities, or give them a glass of water when they asked. A few of the girls even went as far as wiping the sweat off The Queen and King.



I didn't dare move from my spot that whole hour.



I sunk lowly into my thoughts, focusing on the constriction my heart was doing. I wouldn't dare pass out in front of them all.



I laid in bed and closed my eyes. Wishing I could sleep with them open, so the picture my mind held wouldn't constantly flash before me.



The tears wouldn't stop all night. I wasn't even sure why the rest of my body was on fire! I'm so close to leaving this forsaken place!



I must talk with The King, my mate. I demand answers. Why must I suffer, while another woman gets to eat all my food. Have my mate. Sleep in his bed...!!!!



Actually, I have so many questions!!



Why did he lie to me as Aldrerix, and say mating and marking was normal between wolves? Why couldn't he just tell me right then and there that we were mates? If it was so dangerous for anyone to know, then why move me in your castle?!?!



I don't even know his actual name! Was it Aldrerix or is that his wolfs name?!!




He never came to see me after he got married, and the way we came to see each other, is with him in his bedroom, plowing another woman....



I get it, I get it. They were already scheduled to get married and maybe he couldn't back out so easily, but how long will this go on?


Definitely didn't want to be a servant that would have to keep serving her man while he beds other women! Helping them in their god forsaken sexual activities!!!



Now I was wishing that I wasn't a live-in maid. I would rather sleep outside with the rest of the maidens in their shack. Hell, I'd rather sleep in the forest right about now!




I staggered off my bed in the morning, with a burning sensation forming in my chest. Horrible heart burn!



Walking out my door, the halls were quiet this morning. Not a peep in sight.



I closed the bathroom door behind me, smelling the deliciously sweet pastries being made downstairs. I couldn't wait to eat.



I was so hungry my stomach was dancing around a little too much.



Walking over to the toilet, I emptied the yellow,  contents from my throat. My chest felt a lot better after that, but boy was I starving.


Making my way back to my room, I threw on my maid outfit, air dried my curls and slipped my feet into my silky flats.


I really wanted to have an early breakfast before Luisi came looking for me. With only twenty minutes before her arrival, I headed downstairs and to the dining hall.



Chaos! Utter Chaos!



It was excruciatingly loud on the first floor. Mostly coming from The King's corridor. Maids of all ages and sizes were in tears as they came running passed me and towards the dining room hall.



"Someone must've pissed off The King, or Queen" I began thinking to myself. Sending a shutter throughout my body.




My chest began to burn, this time putting lots of pressure on my stomach.



I must eat quickly before I start my days work. I doubt my body could wait the four hours to eat breakfast today.




All that crying must've worked up a days appetite.



Seeing the chefs setting up the dining table, made my mouth water. Even making me forget all about last night....



I bowed to everyone in the room, hoping to steal a few pieces of bread and cheese off the back wall table.



They always made so much food in the morning. It's The King's mother who eats extremely early with her court maids and guards. I've still yet to see her since I began working here.


All I knew was, when we ate hours after her, we were always eating in heaven!! Who cares about leftovers when it's been left behind by the previous Queen!





My eyes caught view of my favorite dish I've been having here so far. It was milky, looked like soup but it was sweet and filled with shredded coconuts and gummies.



When the chef left the room and entered into the cooking area, I hurriedly took a plastic cup and spoon from the back wall table and poured the sweet contents inside. Hoping not to be seen.



"Hey! Someone's up early!" I heard a raspy voice coming from behind me.



Crap!



I slowly turned around, prepared to be scolded for touching The King's mother's breakfast!


My heart dropped and I cursed myself for even going through the trouble to eat early this morning! I should've just suffered and waited!




"You like this one?" Mama Chicken smiles brightly at me.





I exhaled and bowed to her. She's saved my ass once from my first encounter with The King, but will she think bad of me for doing this?




"Hi, Good morning Mama Chicken. I was feeling sick and needed something quickly. I'm sorry." I quickly moved my lips, putting on my jolliest smile.



"No worries child, too much food! I eat too!" She chuckles and pats me on my shoulder.


"I'm glad you like! Not many of our foreign maids like this one! Only Queen Fei's pregnant ones ahahaha! Too sweet" She laughs uncontrollably and I join her.



Queen Fei must be the name of Aldrerix's mother.



She gives me another Pat on my shoulder and caresses my face motherly. Sending flutters down to my stomach.



"Go eat, almost work time." She shoo's me away and I bow one last time before entering the hallway.


As I'm walking upstairs to my room, I start to become heavily nauseated and on top of that, I already finished drinking my sweet, milky goodness on the way up!



I must've eaten it too quickly on an empty stomach!



I was contemplating going back downstairs for some more within the five minutes I had left, and meet Lusisi by the staircase instead.


Then I smelled a foul, rotten stench that made me cover my mouth and nose immediately.



I rushed up the stairs gagging and towards the bathroom. Hoping I could hold down my breakfast by the time I made it.



Shoving the door open, I didn't have time to close it behind me as I gagged and out came my bile, directly into my hand as I struggled to lift the toilet seat.


The sounds of my expelling hurls filled the quiet halls upstairs. Embarrassment hit me, as I stood up finally, flushing the toilet and closing the bathroom door.



Washing my hands and face I remembered my toothbrush was in my room.



Almost bumping into Luisi as I took a step out, we both chuckled nervously.



My heart began racing suddenly, accompanied with a burning sting and pounding throb coming from my poor chest again.



Luisi looked more timid than I've ever seen her before. I hope she didn't hear me vomiting in there. I might die if I had to tell her I smelled a dead corpse!



A very familiar scent that reminded me of the day we had to clean up The Vampire Queen's breakfast!



'Bleck'



"Morning, Luisi," I bowed.



"Hello miss Hunnie." She eyes me from head-to-toe, making me feel a bit uncomfortable.


I smile back at her, hiding this new pain that unexpectedly takes over my body.


I then lower my eyes to my outfit, making sure evidence of my breakfast wasn't left behind, then Luisi begins talking.


"I must summon your assistance with The King again. I am too busy with Queen's servants to be in the room this time." She starts off.


The jolly smile on my face melts into a frown.

I place my hand on my heart as I feel I'm being stabbed repeatedly.

Assistance? The King? I couldn't do that again. I must kindly decline and finally tell her I do not feel well.


"I...I'm sorry...Luisi, b-but I can't....I do not..feel—"



'SMACK'



My cheeks stung and my head whipped to my side. I brought my hands up to my face. As I'm suffocating, I open my eyes and turn to stare into Luisi's dark brown eyes and thinning top lip.




"You have no room to decline!" She raises her voice and brings her hands to her hips.



"You embarrassed me fully yesterday! I say, I am very busy combing new Queen's servants to our castle! NO MORE OTHER GIRLS! SO YOU COME!"
