Hear No Evil, See No Evil
Hunnie🙇🏻♀️
"Can you please remove your cloaking spell...so your body can heal properly? You need to rest."
My body tenses at the doctors request. My cloaking spell that hid everything away, my scent and my mark. I wasn't to keen on doing that, but hearing that I would heal properly due to being a hybrid, I gave in.
It made sense to why I've been healing slowly, even while turned to a hybrid. I've had this cloaking spell on forever!
Using magic daily and all day, will definitely have an impact on my energy and soul. I've only learned how to survive, not rest ever since I came to this forsaken country. Now, I really wanted to rest, wishing it would be forever this time around...
Kris loosens his arms around my shoulders, and I grip onto his shirt dearly. I didn't want him to leave my side just yet. He was my eyes, I didn't want to release my cloaking spell and have The King come in here and try to kill me, because I smelled too strongly of a Dark Witch.....So I am trusting him to keep me safe right bow.
"I'll be right here Hunnie. Nothing will happen anymore. I swear."
Kris begins caressing my head and face, encouraging me to lift the spell. He even plants a kiss on my head, all the while sparks from his touches ignite all along my body, as if it was touches that belonged to The King.
He holds my hands, confirming to my innermost thoughts, that he could indeed, become my security blanket. Something inside me was telling me to trust him listen to him, and follow him.
Shaking my head, the pain from my body begins to throb. Reminding me I needed to heal as soon as possible and rest these next few days.
The doctor is right too, If I want to get out of this place, I'll need all my energy.
"Do you want to sit up Hunnie?" Kris grabs my hands and pulls me by my arm, while he places his hands at my lower back to scoot me closer to the edge of the bed. I tell him thank you once I feel my feet dangling off the bed and whisper away my cloaking spell.
Feeling the heavy spell lifting of my shoulders, my body felt lighter. I feel Kris let my hands go as he begins sniffing the air instantly. I could hear his harsh pulls of air going though his nostrils, and then he growls. I flinched at that noise leaving his throat.
Unexpectedly, in my darkened vision, Kris brushes my curly strands away from my neck and holds his hand to the side where my mark was. He stands up from the bed abruptly and in a hasty manner, before an odd noise leaves his mouth. Almost like a croak.
My hands grip onto the blanket underneath me tightly at the sudden disappearance of his body warmth. I blinked, wishing my swollen eyes would see something. Why did he get up so quickly?
I tried calling out his name, but it gets stuck in my throat.
Gagging noises begins filling the room, as his familiar scent to The King's, fades away from my proximity. He seemed to be walking away from the bed we were on, and in that moment I hear the doctor shriek at his heaving.
"Kris! What's going on?! What's wrong with you!" My ears pick up on the doctor sniffing the air as well. She shrieks again, with a gasp and whispers loudly, "SHE'S THE KINGS'!!"
Her soft feet began to shuffle in a hurry and disappears off to the side.
My heart begins racing. What is happening here? There's a sudden shift in the atmosphere. I hear Kris chucking vomit. His gags and heaves leaving his throat involuntarily. Why did he become so sick, I don't understand!
I became petrified thinking The King was in here choking Kris. The doctors shrieking caused a knot to form in my stomach and now I'm thinking the worse. My heart doing palpitations!
'Sisters please restore my eyesight...I'm sorry for everything I've ever done' I began praying to myself. My body kept getting coated in goosebumps, waiting for something bad to creep up on me from behind.
I suddenly hear Kris roar a ferocious growl, shaking me to my core. My stomach fluttered with anticipation and my bladder weakened, ready to release it self at any moment.
The sound of bones cracking fills my ears, followed along by another shriek and gasp coming from the doctor. She seemed to be somewhere outside the room. I bring my legs back onto the bed, hoping to avoid the strained noises followed by the cracking of bones. Is Kris shifting? I've heard noises like this when I shifted too!
Snarls and growls are heard, making the hairs on the arms sticks straight up. My heart drops, causing my chest to tighten. I'm frightened! I bring my knees up and hug them tightly.
All the noises come to an end.
I found myself rocking back and forth, while squeezing my knees to my chest. I look around, but only a blurred darkness fills my vision. I start to hyperventilate. The reality of my lost eyesight starting to kick in. I don't want to wait anymore! I want to leave now!
Suddenly, a gust of wind knocks me clean off the bed. A force so strong, I landed painfully to my side on the cold floors. My hand and elbow became pained, and stung from making contact with the hard tiles. Fear taking over my body, as I turned to lay on my stomach and cried like a child. Where has Kris gone?
I really hated to feel hopeless like this again, but what's even worse, is I can't see....
What I could sense....is how the aura in the room changed.
The King's scent flood my nostrils incredibly, for I figured he must be in the room now. Hovering over me. Ready to take my life now that I didn't have my children inside of my anymore. Why could he just kill us all together?
I began sobbing loudly, trying to call Kris's name through it all but the words were still stuck in my throat.
The King has picked up my scent, and is here to release another wrath of hatred onto me. I lay on the ground, trembling, sobbing and shielding my head for any impacts. My ribs cried in pain from laying on them.
My body jumps at hearing a frantic and confused voice of my murderous mate, "Kris...Kris wait...I didn't know!" My chin scrapes across the tiles, stinging me as I tried turning my head away from his voice.
Growls and snarls are heard, before I feel feet shuffling by my elbows. The sound of the bed being pushed by something heavy frightens me even more. It makes a loud squealing noise, as the legs are dragged across the tiles, before I hear more monstrous noises and shrieks from outside the room.
