Chapter 30| When Shit Hits The Fan.
....
**Alexander's P O V.
After Isabelle's display of jealousy the cold chill of the night began to settle into our bones. Exhausted, we moved to my condo and my room. As she laid on my chest I kept thinking of the decisions to make concerning Arabella and my need for an heir plus my fear for Isabelle's health. It was my topmost priority right now.
"How did you know we were in the bar?" Isabelle asked out of the blues.
I scoffed at her question, "So you honestly thought I trusted Francis enough to let you and Leah go into a bar filled with drunkards and men looking for girls to spend the night with? I'm not shallow and I don't take chances when it comes to the woman I love. I was there the whole time, even before your arrival."
Her eyes widened at my admission as realization dawned on her.
"I knew it! I felt eyes on me but I couldn't point out from where exactly but how was it that I didn't feel your presence?"
"I was a little bit far from you and most of the people around were wolves, there were too many people's scents between us. It would've been quite a feat for you to distinguish my scent because I was with another Alpha discussing issues of importance."I explained.
I deliberately scheduled a meeting with the Alpha of the Silver Dawn Pack at the bar to kill two birds with one stone. Francis apprised me of how Leah insisted on Belle to live a little, by that she meant to go to a club or bar.
Knowing I had no right to deprive them both of all things their peers did I let Francis bring them to where I was at and boy did my presence help.
At alert, Francis is one of the best warriors I've ever know. But the slightest distraction in name of a woman could cost him his life because he was busy hitting on someone when that leech attempted groping my girl. I all but flew to the spot and taught him a lesson.
Alpha Theo understood me wholly because he has a mate.
It wasn't part of my plan to take her with me though but at this point there was no other way but to let me soak in her presence until she could return to the Pack Manor.
I left the manor initially because knowing Isabelle was there and being unable to catch a glimpse of her without feeling the need to take her into my arms was the hardest thing for me to do made me provide space between us. I had a clearer mind with her far from me but once this whole betrothal charade was over I'm never letting her out of my sight again. For now we make do with what we have and what I have is Isabelle handed to me on a fucking diamond platter.
Who am I to refuse a taste?
I'll keep her with me in my condo for two days, let her stay with Leah for two more days to have her not reeking of my scent when she returns to the manor.
I don't want to have Old Bea glowering at my neck.
I stared at her as she slept peacefully, tendrils of her blazing hair covering a portion of her face.
With thoughts on how she changed from the girl at the forest to this very one sleeping beside me I let my eyes shutter close and succumbed to the reprieve only a deep slumber could provide.
.....
Isabelle agreed to do it my way the next day, to be around for another day. That morning we made breakfast together, barely made it to the room without tearing at each other's clothes.
Sated now, we watched a movie as I listened to Isabelle explain to me about how she has a distant memory of knowing how to operate machines and electronics despite being in the Forest with none of those, not even electricity. It was like her life in the Forest too passed in a blur and like the only reason why she was there was for me. When I asked her of the years she spent at the cottage all she did was furrow her brows before a frown settled over her features. Change eng!
"I honestly can't remember." She pressed an open palm to her forehead. "The memory of the Forest too is turning shady in my head, the events that happened there are passing in a blur."
"Don't think too hard on it, everything's going to be alright. I promise." I pressed a kiss to the top of her head to enusfeg my words.

**Isabelle's P O V.
True to his words, Alexander and I spent two full days at his condo with no single distraction and without leaving the penthouse once. He literally took a two-day off from the rest of the world and centered the whole of his attention on me.
I only heard from Francis and Leah once on the phone. Leah screamed bloody murder when Alex told her time was up before he hanged up. Now I was in a forest green knee length dress waiting for Alexander's car to pull up from the corner. Once it did he helped me in and took the keys from the valet before sliding into the Black car, he had to tell me its name because how was I supposed to know?
Well, it was a twenty minute drive from his place to his other place where Leah was at. We found her waiting in the lobby and she screamed profanities when Francis attempted to hold her back from jumping on us. He raised his hands up in mock surrender and with all the strength she had, she threw her body on Alex before doing the same to me.
We almost fell.
"Thank God you're alive. I thought he like, killed you." She muttered into my ear and pulled off a killer smile at her brother when she raised her head up.
Looking at all three of them together I took in our differences, they were all tall and well tanned. The siblings have dark hair of different shades whereas Francis' had auburn locks. They were well built and radiated a sort of confidence I lack, then there was something commanding about the aura they exude. One glance at all three of them will tell you how you're not supposed to fall on their wrong sides.
Well, that's our differences at first glance.
Me? I'm just the petite girl with red hair who feels so out of place.
Alex and Francis moved to the corner of the lobby to speak while Leah rambled on and on about how bored she was without me, she also had her phone taken away courtesy of her brother.
"Those two days were like a glimpse of hell." She muttered, aggravated.
A wistful smile pulled at my lips as I thought of how heavenly mine was spent. I wasn't telling her any of that thought because from the short time I spent with Leah I knew how capable she was of throwing tantrums and how long lasting her whines were.
Alex and Francis looked towards us while talking and she found something to say about that too. "Oh look at them, talking about us when I'm freezing without a jacket on."
Mind you it wasn't that cold and I wasn't wearing a jacket too. Infact the atmosphere was perfect for her jeans and the long sleeved body fitting top she had on. I kept my mouth shut then too.
Alex and Francis left Leah and I in the hands of a couple of guards, he pulled me into his arms and gave me a mindblowing, soul-searing kiss that almost had me pleading for me. I whimpered when he left knowing when next I see him he might be subjected to not giving me a long glance talkless of making any body contact.
With that thought gnawing at my nerves and eating away the happiness in my chest I followed after the chattering and giddy Leah who forgot all about her sulking the moment the two men were out of our sights.
I spent the next two days with Leah before we were taken back to the Pack Manor at Upper East Side. At our return we found the Manor bustling with preparations for Alexander and Arabella's Engagement party.
Shit had just hit the fan and keeled me over.
Twice.
