Chapter 70|Wooing Plans.

.....

**Lucas' P O V

The look my brother gave me and the subsequent pat he awarded my back with had me releasing a breath I didn't know I was holding. Having his acceptance meant a lot to me.

"Father would have been proud of you, you're learning to take responsibilities and I hope you know a mate isn't one of your silly lays. You treat her with the respect she deserves, you love her with all you have and you protect her with your life. No one and nothing ever comes before your mate. Ever."

I nodded in understanding, suddenly feeling a sense of deja vu envelope me. It felt too much like when we were kids and I did something wrong, instead of reprimanding or scolding me like Lucia does, he tells me stories of his trainings, his favorite pastimes, corrects my mistakes in the most humble way and guides my wrongs to rights.

"Your faith in me has never wavered, not for once. Not even when I was nothing but a wastrel, a scoundrel." Damn if I wasn't sounding sentimental.

"You still are a scoundrel Luke, just a better one. Be the best version of yourself. For both your sakes and do not cause trouble." He grumbled, urging me towards the aisle that led to the manor's entry.

"Thank you." I smirked, "Do I ever cause trouble?"

He scoffed at my question, being the person who always gets, fishes and whacks me out of trouble Alexander knows more than anyone how large my penchant for reeling in trouble is.

But, for both our sakes, I'll avoid it the same way I'm avoiding certain people.

"Lucia's been looking for you. Why do you deliberately avoid her?" I rolled my eyes at Alexander's words. Speaking of which, she is the number one on my "avoid" list.

"I'll get to her after meeting my mate. That is my topmost priority at the moment and I don't wanna waste another minute without her in my arms." I sneered.

Alexander nodded, "You need to get going then. Be romantic, don't do the medieval forced mating shit, she deserves something good and if she's not ready yet don't push too hard, she's in a state of confusion and uncertainty."

"Trust me brother, I plan to woo her mercilessly until she understands nothing but Luke's love language. And by the way, should I kiss Isabelle for you?" I teased.

A slap to the back of my head had me smirking.

But it hurt.

"Fuck you asshole." He glared.

I took the easy route to the UK, my wooing plans ready to be set into motion. My fingers felt damp despite the coolness in the plane. First thing I did at arriving London was taking my car from the De Luca garage and made my way to the Bane Pack house following the GPS direction. Unlike Alexander, I've never been to the Bane Pack before.

Isabelle was apprised of my plans and she offered to help me sweep Arabella off her feet. I aim to be mated before the sun rises on the morrow.

My use of the word mercilessly earlier with Alexander wasn't meant as a joke. I was as serious as he was about his role as Alpha.

.....

**Isabelle's P O V.

Lucas telling me his plans to accept Arabella as his mate and seeking for my advice on the matter had me feeling honored. The Bane Pack members are still in the process of getting used to Arabella's presence with them, it wasn't easy but there was progress. A lot were still apprehensive, especially because Uncle Drake, the Alpha still wasn't open in his acceptance of her.

Last time we talked he brushed off my insistence to see her in the light he used to in the past prior to their betrayal.

He visibly winced and I stopped there. I refrained from making mention of her name in his presence again though the actions I force him to are much greater than her name being mentioned. I force him into breaking his fast every morning with her in the same room.

The atmosphere always hums with tension.

The first time I suggested we take our breakfast together in his house her eyes widened as large as saucers and she rejected instantly, shaking her head vehemently. I had to persuade Aunt Angelina to take matters into her hand until Arabella agreed, warily. When he walked in on us eating, he dropped kisses on each of our foreheads halting when he got to her, a scowl immediately took position on his face, marring his features before he pulled a chair next to his sheepishly grinning wife. The two bickered in our presence and she got the last word with a stern look that surprisingly had the Alpha grumbling under his breath and accepting her whispered terms.

His number one weakness is the Luna and I never fail to get awed by his reaction to her after so many years of being together through so many hardships. Their story is one of a kind because everyone was shocked when the Alpha's mate turned out to be an orphaned and abused omega. He accepted her wholeheartedly and never hid his love for her to anyone, it never wavered despite the rocks hurled at them during their mating session. He was as proud to be hers as she was to be his. His family though accepted her instantly and fell in love with the petite woman.

It makes me think of Alexander and his daily summons that I return or he appears uninvited.

Speaking of Alexander, I need to get Luke mated as soon as possible because with his pace I have a feeling Arabella is soon finding peace and the belonging she deserves.

"This dress suits you better than the first. It brings out the flecks in your eyes." I was helping her get ready for our supposed dinner, it was a cover-up for the true event.

A surprise dinner planned by her romantic mate.

I took off the sky blue lacy dress from the hanger, pushed it into her hands and urged her to the closet to get dressed.

She came out looking perfect, with the help of a stylist, we had her hair in an updo with tendrils framing her pale face. I suggested to have her face to be made up just a bit. Her complexion was too pale from the strain of worry and uncertainty her slim shoulders were bearing.

Arabella slipped into a pair of stilettos before I slipped into a short Navy Blue romper, brushed my hair and had it going down my back in waves.

"You go on ahead, I need to speak with grandpa. Our reservation is confirmed and I'll forward the number to you." I stated in the midst of sliding an earring past its dotted hole on my ear.

"I can wait behind. No one's in a rush." She shrugged, sliding into a white fur coat.

I grinned through the mirror, "Trust me, you don't wanna wait for me. I'll be there before you miss my presence."

After a bit of insistence to wait on her part I ushered her out of the car and texted Luke that she was on her way already. I made my way to my grandfather with a huge smile on my face and my heart hammering in anticipation.

It surely is going to be a long night for the lovers, I mused.
